- mr209204, on 07/09/2008, -0/+13Well hope they can get past the thick smoggy/polluted air that is China...
- RegularJohn, on 07/08/2008, -3/+14Usain Bolt is simply on fire, I'm sure he'll get to beat 9.7.
- ironeus, on 08/01/2008, -3/+11Another record already broken goes to Dara Torres. At 41, she is the oldest female swimmer in the history of the Olympic games [http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/29/magazine/29torre ...
- MrFisty, on 07/09/2008, -5/+12World record for number of Tibetans oppressed?
- 360news, on 07/09/2008, -0/+6Uhm... you spelt OLYMPICS wrong in the URL !
What sort of screwed up internet piracy is this ?
I get better information from google news. - cvindustries, on 07/09/2008, -0/+6Whatever, There are the VISA 2008: Summer Olympics brought to you on NBC by VISA, Proud sponsor of the VISA Olympics: Beijing VISA Edition.
- ketchup176, on 07/09/2008, -0/+5Last time I checked "New Zeeland" wasn't spelt with "ee".
- dofo, on 07/09/2008, -0/+4The Record Breaking record should be shattered if the American Swim tryouts were any indication, with the new lzr swimsuits the world records were being beat one after another. This should make for some good T.V; although the pollution factor is sort of a wild card it may be a big factor or a tiny one.
- mareacaspica, on 07/08/2008, -3/+6I have to say all eyes on Michael Phelps
- cloud4197, on 07/09/2008, -1/+4They forgot the 'Most human rights broken' record
- WiretapStudios, on 07/09/2008, -0/+3Most post-Olympic doping scandals?
- chikuten, on 07/09/2008, -0/+3don't make fun of the olympics guys. the chinese gov't might bury our comments!
- gr33nspan, on 07/09/2008, -0/+2dugg for misspelling New Zealand
- Epistaxis, on 07/09/2008, -0/+2Buried for some kind of domain name hijacking.
- inactive, on 07/09/2008, -0/+2The 4x100m record is almost undoubtably gonig to be beaten by Jamaica.
Bolt, Powell, and whatever other random 100m runners they pull out. The former world record holder, who still has the world record for fastest anchor leg ever, and the current world record holder? Good luck America. - macmangb, on 07/09/2008, -3/+56. Number of people dead because of genocide committed by China and its citizens.
- Brineshrimp, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1Pretty unbelievable what he's done in the q. rounds, isn't it?
- inactive, on 12/07/2008, -8/+9Michael Phelps had better be careful. He should have already been banned from the Olympics after wearing a Visa logo on his swimming cap. He does that in the games and a lot of American's are gonna be pissed.
- Malnilion, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1Heh, the only records I foresee being broken are those in sports that don't require breathing air...Phelps should be fine, I'm pretty sure he can breath underwater.
- inactive, on 07/09/2008, -1/+2What if one man broke multiple records on multiple events? Would he be the greatest athlete ever?
- liuite, on 07/09/2008, -1/+27. Most polluted city to host the summer games
- tanameyer, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1Dugg for the picture of the pole vaulter at the bottom of the article. Goddamn!
- duggdowncatisad, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1The records that certainly WON"T be falling are anything related to long distance running/biking, thanks to the wonderful Beijing-area air quality.
- tanameyer, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1Actually I was referring to the woman in the track outfit beside the guy with the javelin... the woman with a pole vault pole beside the beach volleyball players...

Olympics 2008 records | olympics game medals 2008 | Beijing China
http://download-movie-songs.blogspot.com/2008/08/b ... - monoa, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1That's assuming he runs the 100. It's not his main event (amazingly) - it's the 200. Last I heard, he hadn't decided if he was doubling up.
- inactive, on 07/10/2008, -0/+1One thing is for certain the record for the largest number of soulless douche bags in a single event will be far surpassed. I hope the locusts eat your brains......
- binnis, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1I don't know about that. Tyson Gay will give him a run for his money even tough he ran a wind aided 9.68.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSZ73TwEuhE - insanecee, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1maybe its just me..... but that is a javelin in his hand....
- KJSatz, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1It's the most gold medals in one games. Mark Spitz won seven in 1972.
- macmangb, on 07/09/2008, -1/+1and you support a country that murders millions of tibetans each year.
- ilistenisee, on 07/09/2008, -0/+0I think it's time for the Chinese government to implement some tough environmental policies and enforce em...China's got its economic platform...so it's time to tough it up...save the fish! and the people
- Sunnygurm, on 07/09/2008, -0/+0Take a look around, people aren't just getting killed in China... it's just the American "Cause of the Month". You'll forget about it after the Olympics are over, and this goes for everyone who has such a chubby about Tibet all of a sudden when they couldn't be bothered with the conflict for decades before.
Give it about 3 or 4 months, you won't even hear about Tibet on the news.
By the way, do you even know what the conflict is about without going to Wikipedia? Do you even know when it started and how long it has already been happening?
Jesus, wake up. - inactive, on 07/09/2008, -1/+1q. rounds? Queer rounds?
- Sunnygurm, on 07/09/2008, -1/+1I knew somebody would turn an article about athletics into politics.
Separate the two.
And take a look at half the items around your house...see the stamp that says "Made in China"? Oops! - inactive, on 07/09/2008, -1/+15 Historic records that are likely to fall in Beijing 2008
5. Most smog at an Olympics. - phoobahr, on 07/09/2008, -0/+0for the 400? You mean the butterflier/imer (and, ok, 200m fr w.r. holder) who didn't even swim the 400 at trials?
- psud0, on 07/08/2008, -1/+1As I know he won 6 gold medals on Olympics so far, correct? Phelps is still in good shape so I assume he's going to win 2 gold medals , at least for 400 Freestyle, since he's the best. Go Mike Go!
- Rudegar, on 07/09/2008, -5/+2how long a girl and shoot a ping pong ball?
