- bIuebonics, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5actually, he did. a site goes down due to the enormous amount of traffic hitting it at once for various reasons. to state in an incredulous manner that it went down after x amount of diggs is to state that you're surprised the server went down after the traffic generated from x amount of diggs. since traffic equates to page views... yes, he stated that the server could only handle the views in relation to the number of diggs listed. otherwise, there would be no reason to even mention the amount of diggs as it is obviously irrelevant to the number of views.

Normally it will take x amount of traffic, or x/80 # of diggs before the site goes down. NORMALLY that number of diggs is HIGHER than 54 diggs or 54 x 80 views.
When somebody says 'wow, dead after x diggs' they don't think that only x amount of people saw it, that would be retarded.

- bIuebonics, on 10/10/2007, -4/+5because there are self centered digg nazis who don't understand some of the main concepts of this web site. even mention the idea that an article is a duplicate and all they think is "well, ***I*** haven't seen it" even though the original article is still on digg. they don't understand that another page with more comments is extra space taken up on digg's servers with a duplicate story that can be found elsewhere on the site. they're self centered to the point they'd rather clutter up digg's servers than actually roam away from the front page.
