  • b00le, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0It's really lovely at night (I live just across the river). There was a helicopter overhead on Saturday evening -- probably the best way to see it. They are not "cheapo xmas lights" at all: each globe can take on several colours and they slowly cycle through a myriad of combinations. You can search for "massimo silenzio" at YouTube, but that doesn't give you the scale: Circo Massimo is about .5 km long and there are 10,000 lights.
