I've been waiting 24 years for this day- ChromaVita, on 10/10/2007, -2/+22Way to make me think the page ***** up and didn't finish loading...
- eatkitten, on 10/10/2007, -5/+37The King ***** cares
(and hates fat kids).- Gir53457, on 10/10/2007, -2/+31The King loves all children... Possibly in ways that scare me.
- SuperWinner, on 10/10/2007, -8/+1How'd they do this without admitting that their old menu was bad for kids? Doesn't that open them up for a "My kid is fat because of you" lawsuit?
- abid786, on 10/10/2007, -1/+17That lawsuit is pointless. They can sell whatever they want. It is your fault for taking your kids there; you should be responsible for their food.
- SuperWinner, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1I don't have kids... I was speaking hypothetically.
- abid786, on 10/10/2007, -1/+17That lawsuit is pointless. They can sell whatever they want. It is your fault for taking your kids there; you should be responsible for their food.
- crgnetworks, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4Sweet I hate fatties too!
- ericditmer, on 10/10/2007, -1/+34Burger King goes from the Quad Stacker, 4 beef patties, 4 pieces of cheese, 8 strips of bacon -- to unsweetened apple sauce and low-fat milk. That's like going from Michael Clarke Duncan to Chris Crocker .
- Nougat, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4No, they're just making the *kids'* meals a little better. That's to get them in as Burger King customers so that later on, when they're making their own food-buying decisions, they'll already have brand awareness. And then they'll buy the higher profit items like vats of soda and completely overprocessed burgers.
- burtonbe, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Higher profit? You can get a whopper junior for $1. I suspect that they are making less profit on the "healthy" kid's meals to hook the future addict.
Nevertheless, you're much more likely to get hooked on high-profit sushi. Trust me, it's addictive.

- digitul, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1why are people trying to make that annoying kid a household name

- vileS, on 10/10/2007, -6/+11I know when I eat a burger I want a nice tall glass of milk to wash it down. Mmm.

- crgnetworks, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4When does bathing in it's blood come into play?

- solistus, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1What burger? This meal would have chicken strips, not a burger.
- NGliam, on 10/10/2007, -16/+4As a McDonalds employee I feel I need to point out that we offer "fruit bags" already. Suck it Mr. King -.- I noticed you stole our mcflurries already, jeez.. would you jump in my grave as quick?
- Derfy, on 10/10/2007, -13/+3Buried due to the fact that you're a McDonalds employee, scum-bag.
- Insomniac33, on 10/10/2007, -6/+2You're a fruit bag.
- Gir53457, on 10/10/2007, -2/+9You also serve a caramel dipping sauce for apples.
- burtonbe, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Damn them! Damn them for serving that caramel sauce!
Have they no respect?!? Have they no decency?!? Why do they play on our sense of responsibility, then shatter it with rich, sweet caramel?!?!
- burtonbe, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Damn them! Damn them for serving that caramel sauce!
- Narshe, on 10/10/2007, -0/+15Didn't Dairy Queen have "McFlurries" first? I think they're called Blizzards.
- tehpwnrate, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2I actually buy those. McDonalds ice coffee is really really good, and for a snack some apple dippers with a honey mustard grilled chicken wrap is about as healthy as fast food can be if it's also going to taste good.
- Nougat, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Iced coffee recipe:
Chocolate syrup in tall glass, about 1/4 inch in the bottom
Ice in glass, almost to top
Fill 3/4 up with coffee (preferably already cold or room temp)
Fill rest of the way with a flavored liquid creamer product (because those are sweet in addition to being creamy)
Stir
That's the iced coffee that you'll pay $4 for at Starbucks. Thank me later. - DinCahill, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0I don't know about where you come from, but I'm in the UK and the fruit bags are *****. Really, they just taste of water.

- SlamShut, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1You're acting as a voluntary shill for McDonald's.
I think you may be the stupidest, most *****-up person I've ever seen on this website.
And that's saying something.
- Derfy, on 10/10/2007, -13/+3Buried due to the fact that you're a McDonalds employee, scum-bag.
- pmagayon, on 10/10/2007, -6/+1I'm going to be really pissed off the next time The King pops up outside my window.
- Nick2632, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6If by healthier meals they mean not made by Burger King
- stignordas, on 10/10/2007, -1/+33um, if you bring a kid into burger king, this is the LAST thing he/she's going to want to order.
- habbofresh, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1no *****. I go to the king to reward myself 'being good' about my diet for a week. this is where you go to wreck progress and restore balance to the universe.
- monkeycatDx, on 10/10/2007, -6/+11How about the practice on not ***** up my order.
- monkeycatDx, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5How about they* practice on not ***** up my order.
- burtonbe, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1How about you choose another resturant (thus making an actually difference) instead of making a pathetic post on digg?
- najeroni, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0burger king seems to do this much more than Wendy's or McDonald's.
- monospaced, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1have it your way
- monkeycatDx, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5How about they* practice on not ***** up my order.
- shyner, on 10/10/2007, -3/+3Cool. But I'm still going to get a Whopper when I go there.
- habbofresh, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2did you know the whopper isn't limited to a maximum of three patties? go ahead, ask next time you're there :)
- Nougat, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1"May I have a Whopper with seven patties please?"
- habbofresh, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1it's on their register as "extra patty." if the ***** on the register can't figure it out, have their manager show them,
- DinCahill, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Whoppers are just one burger in the UK. You can get an XL Double Whopper with two burgers.
- Nougat, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1"May I have a Whopper with seven patties please?"
- habbofresh, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2did you know the whopper isn't limited to a maximum of three patties? go ahead, ask next time you're there :)
- Error601, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Good luck trying to get them to eat it.
- Bricks, on 10/10/2007, -4/+6A small step. But in matters concerning fast food and change, small steps are important, and so wide reaching that they're significant. I highly recommend the book, "The Omnivore's Dilemma" if the study of eating habits interests you. It tracks the progress of a few meals from their absolute originating points all the way to your body. An enlightening read that has gained great popularity lately.
- notbrittish788, on 10/10/2007, -3/+32If parents didn't want their kids to get fat, THEY SHOULDN'T GET FAST FOOD.
- airwalkery2k, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Man, I remember when Burger King was a great place to fatten yourself up. They really sold out, man.
- sheepsheeplamb, on 10/10/2007, -5/+0NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
- TheLoneWolf071, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Put a sign on the doors... "No Fat Chicks!"
- rhabd0mancer, on 10/10/2007, -7/+1Yes, kiddies, enjoy your healthier meal, served by some TB-infested illegal mexican.
- DenTPuzz, on 10/10/2007, -5/+1stuff that, just design a burger that doesnt make me fart like a trooper 10 minutes after eating it...
- unorginalityftw, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4To stay in shape: don't eat fast food every day, exercise regularly.
Two easy-to-do steps, although I admit it took me a while to start, but once you start working out and stuff you soon find when you do eat one of those bad foods it makes you feel horrible and you don't like it as much. (At least for me, unsure of others' experiences.)
But besides that, it IS a good thing they are starting to choose healthier options as they should. Also, if you don't tell your kids it has been made healthier they probably won't notice the difference anyway. Kudos to BK. - chicoer2001, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1This coming from the company which a few years ago brought us a sandwich with 700 calories
- Lax32, on 10/10/2007, -4/+1I hate it when food companies make everything low fat. Why? Because it tastes worse.
Seriously, I know how to eat right and when I want to get a burger with 1200 calories that also happens to taste like a little bit of heaven, I should have the right to do that.
Right now it feels like they are starting to try to force people to eat healthy. And by healthy, I mean food that tastes like *****.- unorginalityftw, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Honestly, I think they should never make this information public until like 5 months after. Betcha no one notices the taste difference.
- exomni, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1We're talking about a ***** KIDS MEAL here, things that will be served to CHILDREN.
- DinCahill, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0They can have awesome burgers too, but, like everyone should do, not eat it all the time.
- Jalh, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1thats good
- Jazzillion, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I will protest you pessimistic diggers at the risk of being buried......
Offering individuals convenience, timeliness, health, and price at a fast food restaurant is really hard to find. Even their salads are often times incredibly unhealthy. The general public needs to be more health conscious, and the best way to do it is making healthy foods be more accessible. This is a start, albeit, a hypocritical one. - EvilLordBanana, on 10/10/2007, -2/+0dugg because I work at bk :P
- thebraineater, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3I hate the whole idea of fast food trying to be healthy, and health food trying to appeal to people who want fast food. ("healthy" Oreos, that type of thing)
- skyfire1, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Encourage your kids play sports so they won't become a bunch of fatasses. Most kids aren't fat just because of their diet. Also, stop buying so many twinkies.
Fatass- DinCahill, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0True stuff. I'm fat because I don't do enough exercise for what I eat.
- Hoogs, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I never understood this healthy kids meal business. Kids like to go out to eat so they can get greasy food they DON'T usually get at home. What kid is going to choose applesauce over fries?
- ThraxyWaxy, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Since when is 8.5g of fat low? Shows what kind of country everybody's living in.
- piXelatedEmpire, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0It's low when compared to the rest of the food on their menu
- PlutoPrime, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Why only the kids meal? What makes children so special? I find the most amazing part of life is adulthood because you get a complete perspective on everything. WHY NOT PROTECT THE ADULT BODY by eating right? Really sad the kind of garbage you find inside the boxes in food stores today. Bleached enriched filtered glucomaxatine carbo nuclitide iso pro cyanitrine pro max tastyness.. WTF .. take charge of your health America and what you eat! ***** sad to see 20 year olds wearing pants with a 40" waist...
- Hoogs, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I just laugh at them. As long as they don't use their weight as an excuse to use the handicap parking space, I'm good.
- GrabAss, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0Double Whopper. With cheese. Make that extra cheese. Large fries. Diet Coke.
- Torsion, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5can't we all just agree that this is at least a step in the right direction no?
- reflection717, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0My Question is why make the Apples look like French Fries? Isn't the idea to teach children to make smart choices and eat healthy? So lets shape the best things on the menu to look just like the worst things on the menu...great idea, no ulterior motive there.
- GrabAss, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0We must trick them! It's the only way!
- Urusai, on 10/10/2007, -4/+1What the ***** is low-fat milk? It's milk with all the cream taken out; cream, you know, the part that the rich skim off the top because it's so much better than the watery white ***** they sell as "milk" in stores today. Hell, even the "whole" milk is only about 50% fatted because they water it down, too.
- italianvinny, on 10/10/2007, -3/+0OK Burger King, I can always go to McDonalds for my fattening food.
- charlesray, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1I even like milk (a lot) and I refuse to drink low fat milk. It's disgusting. Good luck getting kids to drink that.
And you know what? I love hamburgers, and I love applesauce. But the two together just doesn't sound great. - alexra, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1their healthy foods are prob still not that healthy
- Scheissen, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2It's probably not even going to be healthy. The only fast food I eat is from Subway, but it's too expensive to eat there regularly so I make my own subs. There seriously needs to be another fast health food competitor
- mindvise3, on 10/10/2007, -2/+0dugg for the correct punctuational use of the apostrophe in "kids' "
- fcukbeat, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0yeah as they promised?!!! damn king in our place here in philippines, they serve us with spoiled grilled burger, and then all the customer complained, poof ^^ kb*king closed before we know it. and now they promised a healthier meal to your children, i realy doubt it, maybe they just want your children to get fat, and you parents dont want that to happend. so why not cook your children with healthy meal and packed it before they go to school at least you gave some love to them. alright... ^^
- Damian91, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Once again another company has to take care of someones kid because the parent/guardian can't.
- 5um1th, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Oh really???
- theamazingkort, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2The healthiest kids meal would be to stop targeting children.
- badassninja, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0They are doing the wrong thing. Unlike mickeydee's who has there " go out and play outside kids" bull *****, Burger king made up their minds awhile back that they make 85% of their money from their regulars, and regulars don't give as ***** about eating healthy. That's why they started making the Ultimate Double Wooper and their stackers. Don't want to get fat? Then don't eat there 7 days a week. Don't care if you get fat? Then do whatever the hell you want.
- MagicCake, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0That's good, but I still don't plan on eating there... their food makes me feel a little sick. Even though I love it.
- SebG, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1oxymoron
- ecidnac, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Applesauce and milk to wash it down... Mmmmm... Yeah, that'll be popular. I'd wonder if they actually tried eating these things together, but I can't really believe that they care in the first place.
