I mean, yeah, that's pretty harsh. Geez. - kingnova, on 06/29/2009, -4/+67Torture works!
- Hetman, on 06/30/2009, -1/+52It was only an enhanced interrogation technique used to get the information they needed. If it is good enough and legal for the government to partake in such techniques. I do not see how you can hold the citizens liable.
- serif69, on 06/30/2009, -0/+50Did she weigh the same as a duck?
- noahgelman, on 06/30/2009, -0/+47Moral of the story: Don't be a douchebag and steal someone's iPod
- Lucas123, on 06/29/2009, -4/+45Wow. Being waterboarded for an iPod. That's harsh.
- primatage, on 06/30/2009, -0/+38I don't condone torture...but nobody comes between me and my iPod.
- BoneStamp, on 06/30/2009, -0/+35Bobbing for apples.
- Kyrgizion, on 06/30/2009, -1/+33NOBODY EXPECTS THE SPANISH INQUISITION!
- BoneStamp, on 06/30/2009, -0/+23If so, then she's made of wood... and therefore...
- AndrewMoyer, on 06/30/2009, -0/+22She's a WITCH!
BURN THE WITCH! - kylere, on 06/30/2009, -0/+19I think the world would be a better place if they were rewarded for trashing this thieving piece of trash
- judicar, on 06/30/2009, -2/+19iWaterBoard
- Kitakaze, on 06/30/2009, -0/+17What is the incentive for a thief to quit stealing when there are no consequences for it? The cops won't lift a finger. If you lift a finger yourself, you get sued. Is this just a lose-lose situation, then?
My life, health, and general well-being is worth more to me than an iPod, so obviously I'd rather lose an object than my health, or life. And of course, a thief's well-being is worth more to him than an iPod — however, my well-being is worth nothing to him; hence he steals from me. Would it not be reasonable to accept that a thief's well-being, health or even life means less than nothing to me? Less than a car, an iPod, or a damn peanut? - protogenxl, on 06/30/2009, -1/+18I didn't expect The Spanish Inquisition.
- TheMu, on 06/30/2009, -1/+16If you hold her head underwater, that's not waterboarding. They would have had to take the water from the drainage ditch and pour it down her throat.
- MrMischiefVIP, on 06/30/2009, -0/+14Did Ivy Lockwood get charged with theft?
- Cheeselover, on 06/30/2009, -2/+14So..did they get their iPod back?
- robotfriendly, on 06/30/2009, -0/+12I think the /s was implied.
Oh, and it's you're. - duewydo, on 06/30/2009, -1/+12Touché
- BoneStamp, on 06/30/2009, -0/+11It's "find my phone" for the ipod.
- pinoylife, on 06/30/2009, -1/+12there should be an app for this already
- BoneStamp, on 06/30/2009, -2/+13Does that mean Cheney is going to get charged?
- puter, on 06/30/2009, -0/+10ya, clearly they caused the situation by leaving the ipod in their home.
- frode!, on 06/30/2009, -0/+9What's the big deal they just asked her a few questions. She was in no real danger. Right.
- skintigh, on 06/30/2009, -0/+9If they held her down on her back at an angle and forced her head underwater backwards so it poured up her nose that would possibly qualify as the water torture, or as the comic euphemism "water boarding" that the Bush admin invented and was adopted by the media instead of using the hundreds-of-years old name "water torture."
- Willow01, on 06/30/2009, -0/+9I would have put her in the COMFY CHAIR!
- grason1129, on 06/30/2009, -0/+8Dick Cheney must be cackling somewhere vindicated.
- falafelkiosken, on 06/30/2009, -0/+7...and how people can't understand sarcasm
- Animan351, on 06/30/2009, -1/+8Thieving bitch deserved more than that after stealing from the home she was invited too.
What was the attempted murder charge for? at what point did they try to kill the bitch? I say let them go and give them a plaque. - oda1, on 06/30/2009, -3/+10iLaughed.
- H4cksaw, on 06/30/2009, -1/+8Having your head held underwater ≠ waterbording.
- banski, on 06/30/2009, -0/+6Its not illegal, right?
- sb66, on 06/30/2009, -2/+7I don't really condone this; but the thieving bitch kinda got what she deserved.
- zaren, on 06/30/2009, -0/+5Not many comments make me laugh out loud in the office. You win one Internet for that.
- CoD4, on 06/30/2009, -2/+7Being waterboarded for no reason is even better!
- skintigh, on 06/30/2009, -0/+5Only because she was guilty. Good thing, too, as they might have killed her if she was innocent.
- inactive, on 06/30/2009, -2/+7Nah, he's a Republican, and we all know they get away with murder.
- inactive, on 06/30/2009, -0/+5We could build a bridge out of her?
- toonworld, on 06/30/2009, -0/+5yeah seriously.... *WOOSH!*
- Animan351, on 06/30/2009, -1/+6They held her head under water and they had a knife to her. if they slit her throat:attempted murder. If they held her under until she passed out:attempted murder.
They wanted information from her. That simple fact proves that they weren't trying to kill her. You can't get good information from a dead person you know. They were dunking her under until she confessed and then they stopped. - jsmith39, on 06/30/2009, -0/+5some women you just can't reach.. so you get what we had here last week. Which is the way she's wants it, well she gets it.
- soloman747, on 06/30/2009, -0/+5Looks like someone's been watching too much 24. "TELL ME WHERE THE IPOD IS!!!"
- greasetrap, on 06/30/2009, -0/+5Maybe if this happened to everybody who robbed houses there would be less robberies.
- masgaster, on 06/30/2009, -0/+4lighten up, its only *simulated* drowning
- diggit83, on 06/30/2009, -1/+5YOU THERE, CAKE OR DEATH??!?!
- DRNOOO, on 06/30/2009, -1/+5i don't condone this but it's obvious when they coxed her back to the home , and the argument ensued it's safe to say she was still denying it , hence the argument. Notice it said "Amanda Weaver noticed "several things", including a camera and iPod!
Like i said i don't condone this behavior but in today's time people whop have a little maintain it money doesn't grow on trees!
I also notice the report doesn't mentioning charging the Ivy Lockwood with theft or at the very least possession!
If this was anywhere else in the world they would have cut her ***** hands off ! Pretty bad when people got steal from you after you open your door and let them stay at your house ! - ShooterMcGavin, on 06/30/2009, -0/+4"Where is ze money, Lebowski!"
- faskill, on 06/30/2009, -0/+3"It all depends on the spectrum of relevance* postulated by the aggressor*. When it was brought forth by the 35th Battalion* amid the WW 1 the monasteries* stop using beer and switched to water because of the scarcity* of the diplomatic regime that mandated the monks have their adequate levels."
Either way, stupid response. - BlackOculus, on 06/30/2009, -1/+4Amanda Weaver: Where's the iPod, Lockwood? Where's the f*****g iPod, s**thead??
Ivy Lockwood: It's uh... uh... it's down there somewhere, let me take another look.
