- DeathJux, on 10/12/2007, -2/+179Not as much witty as it is sad... he didn't even attempt to answer the problem. He could have at least drawn a picture of the event.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -6/+147Why don't you guys stop mirroring with imageshack? Unless you like looking at "Bandwidth Exceeded" nonsense all day.

This is part of a bigger email of funny responses that is going around in an email... I dumped them on Flickr:

- jackpot, on 10/12/2007, -3/+88I like the grader's response. As if they had never heard of adultery before! Oh dear!
- LilBoyLuver, on 10/12/2007, -3/+78This is old but still one of the best: http://www.eng.usf.edu/~dionson/ezzay/
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+73Maybe his parents had a severe Lithp and thought instead of him making fun of them calling him Jason, they would just skip it and go with Jath..nevermind too much explaining. Joke is dead.
- shaft63, on 10/12/2007, -1/+63No, you guys are wrong. You need to move heat from your hot source to the cold source to do work. This example proposes moving heat from the ocean at 10 C to the atmosphere at 20 C. Essentially he would be cooling the cold ocean and heating the hot atmosphere, which requires work, it doesn't generate work.
- cJw314, on 10/12/2007, -8/+6842?
- friedcalamari, on 10/12/2007, -9/+62The correct answer is.............. 42.
- Otto, on 10/12/2007, -1/+42No, there is an elephant in the way.
- ryanfelix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+39Not that it's important but what's his NAME? I can't read it..
Jathen? - rogueman, on 10/12/2007, -1/+37I'm curious why Rikkochet's last link opens a yahoo login page. The page looks legit, but why only the last link?
- wierdaaron, on 10/12/2007, -3/+38Thought it would say "please see me after class" like the rest of these fake witty test answers.
- seeprompt, on 10/12/2007, -2/+37just curious....does anyone know the correct answer?
- kaytrio, on 10/12/2007, -0/+35It can't be solved. There is an elephant in the way.
- Rikkochet, on 10/12/2007, -2/+35The last link works for me.. Maybe Flickr bugs you to login/register after X number of anonymous photo views? Sort of like how AdultFriendFinder stops you after one page?
*coughnotthati'dknowfirsthandcough* - snoble, on 10/12/2007, -0/+20Once again flanders and swan has the answer
"That you can't pass heat from the cooler to the hotter
Try it if you like but you far better notter
'Cos the cold in the cooler will get hotter as a ruler
'Cos the hotter body's heat will pass to the cooler
Oh, you can't pass heat from the cooler to the hotter
You can try it if you like but you'll only look a fooler
'Cos the cold in the cooler will get hotter as a ruler
That's a physical Law!"
-- Excerpt from First and Second Law - Desolite, on 10/12/2007, -0/+19"That's what I always did and probably why I was a C student with many parent/teacher conferences. THEY JUST DID GET ME, MAN!"
uhhhh i can tell why you were a C student. - theokandroid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+18Hey if you don't know the answer then at least write something entertaining.
- SillyRabbits, on 10/12/2007, -4/+22@g4blows
You fail at science (and reading). - domlachowicz, on 10/12/2007, -2/+20@thcobbs
"Oh dear," says God, "I hadn't thought of that," and promptly vanishes in a puff of logic. - comradeTJH, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15The answer is indeed very clever. One doesn't get immediately fired just because his boss didn't completely agree with his 'idea' I think. But sleeping with his wife would be a hell of a reason :-)
- openyoureyes17, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14@lilboyluver
at least he got a D- lol. passing! yesssss - Rostin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14The problem is worded vaguely, but I think the answer the prof was looking for is that it's a violation of the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics. The Wiki entry on the topic states it well:
"It is impossible to carry out a cyclic process using an engine connected to two heat reservoirs that will have as its only effect the transfer of a quantity of heat from the low-temperature reservoir to the high-temperature reservoir (Clausius, 1854)." - Stunn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13I bet some are fake but the majority of them are probably real. When I was in high school, I use to write stupid answers and draw pictures on my physics tests. My teacher use to give me a half of a point just for making him laugh. I don't understand how I passed that class. I never thought about keeping them and scanning them to show off my stupidity on the interwebs.
- thcobbs, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11I had a biology professor that gave 4-8 question tests. If you didn't know the answer, but wrote something that made him laugh you would at least get 5 points.
- reyame, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11It's still funny, even if it's not real.. jeez, don't have to ruin the fun..
- ihate2regist, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12thats your answer to everything
- lostradamus, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12As if the engineer had a change with the boss' trophy wife.
- elnerdo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10He shouldn't have been fired. He should've been given a freaking Nobel prize!
He designed a ship that managed to break the laws of physics! Because of his work, the textbooks will need to be rewritten! The very world itself will change. Think of the possibilities! - triscuitbiscuit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9His name is Jathin...
It is a workshop problem from second semester Chemistry (Chem132) at the University of Rochester.
He is smart and I think he put that down because you can drop the two lowest workshop scores. - Iknockstuffdown, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8It's because that last link is a private photo apparently.
- krets, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9Shouldn't that be a thevere lithp?
- Jathin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7hey,
I've been getting phonecalls from kids I went to highschool with regarding this picture, ***** crazy.
but yeah, you can drop the lowest 2 assignments. I wound up acing the class and I now am a workshop leader for it, as well as for organic chemistry =o
originally sparked from lack of interest in the class (I was a freshman and unappreciative). used to look at the board and take notes and look back to find pictures of "Jathin's mom getting a cum shower" in my notebook (drawn by my friend sitting next to me) - kundziad, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5@Rikkochet
Nah, your last link was the first page I opened and it still led me to the Yahoo login page. - scbysnx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5absolutely

to LIFE, the UNIVERSE...and everything... - smellythai, on 10/12/2007, -5/+8I love how the "A's" the "O's" and the "TH's" look exactly the same for the student and the teacher.
Its in red pen?! it MUST be the teacher. - Braxo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I did the same. Even in my HS history class, instead of writing the weekly essay on current events like we were supposed to, I wrote stories like what I had for dinner the night before and such.
I had a feeling the teacher never read these essays, and after receiving A's on what I handed in I knew she didn't. - aukxsona, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Sounds like my college...
- KyleEatsCrayons, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3im a little late to this... but heres some from a couple years ago that were posted on a guys blog, and later had to be removed because the school he was working for found out...

great little homework spoof. perfect for this thread :) - Gatesophile, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I like that answer. I would've given him at least some points for creativity.
- dinobot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Reminds me of Unlimited Essay Works!
I am the bone of my essay... - elnerdo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2No it's not.
- logost, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1thcobbs: haha me too only way i really passed biology. I think his name way Ty at community college in kansas if i remember correctly.
