- thelastcivilian, on 10/10/2007, -2/+111So suddenly all flatbreads are pancakes? I can just imagine "OMG look at Italy - they put tomato sauce on their pancakes!"
- SlamShut, on 10/10/2007, -7/+71WTF? Pita? Pita is pancakes? Does the guy who wrote this live in a ***** closet? Does he think all round foods are pancakes? Is pizza pancakes? Are tortillas pancakes? Are hamburger buns pancakes? Wait, my bowl of chili last night was round... PANCAKES! Holy *****, look at the rubber pancakes on that car! Doctors have determined that humans are able to see because of two naturally-occuring pancakes situated on the upper front of the head.
- PATSCRU, on 10/10/2007, -3/+52The lameness of these "lists" is beginning to sadden me.
- DiggsOnlyNeoCon, on 10/10/2007, -3/+48Uh... injeera is basically sourdough bread. Not pancakes.
Here is my list done in the same fashion as this one. It's called THE WORLDS TOP 3 STRANGEST IPODS!
1. USA - Envelope
2. Medieval Times - Deck of playing cards
3. Japan - White Remote Control
Look! They're all white and rectangular. Like Ipods. - Renuvian, on 10/10/2007, -0/+13This has got to be the dumbest ***** thing I've seen today. And I spent a lot of time on digg today so thats saying a lot.
- GCarden, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12Oh Digg, what have you become?
Pancakes on the front page. PANCAKES, for cryin' out loud! - lemac, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11The Arabic Shawarma/flafel sandwich has nothing to do with pancakes. The author is nuts -- unless he considers nuts a form of pancakes.
- AriaStar, on 10/10/2007, -2/+11All of those look so good! My grandma used to use left-over mashed potatoes and onions and make potato pancakes. Those kick ass.
- diggface5000, on 10/10/2007, -3/+10you have been dugg for getting mad enough about his loose interpretation of pancake that you commented on his page.
i happen to be of the school of thought believe that all round things ARE pancakes. cookies, pizzas, earth....
but to each his own - loconet, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6This has to be one of the worst digg submissions I have ever seen. The ignorance is so amazing I'm tempted to think it's fake. What a retarded article. BURRIED x 100. Those are pancakes as much as a taco is a pizza. The Ethiopian dish shown on the picture is delicious by the way..
- Hiki, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7dugg for enthusiasm
- AriaStar, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6If the crust is made in a pan, then it's technically a pancake.
- ChromaVita, on 10/10/2007, -3/+8I like mine in the shape of mickey mouse...
- sittered, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6Hey! I made macaroni and cheese! Isn't that a bizarre pancake?! Woooo!
- Sophistifunk, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5It's funny! Their clothes are different from my clothes!
- Blah_Blah_Blah, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5true. its pita bread with a stuffing. wow
- fascistpig, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4They're ***** bizarre pancakes, because they aren't ***** pancakes!
- morgales, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3That article makes no sense at all. I've eaten almost every of those dishes and have never felt the need to say: "damn these are weird PANCAKES". Pitta for instance is bread, Roti is originally from India but Thai people have apparently taken over the recipe. It is a kind of pancake, most of the time street vendors sell it stuffed with banana or mango, or simply chocolate or sweet condensed milk. If you use it in a normal meal, it just tastes like pitta bread.
I'm surprised the idiot who wrote the article didn't put durum bread as form of pancake, than again, I believe the first picture features a kind of durum. - Battleloser, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4And theyre not even pancakes >=
- daemoncollector, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4I augta slap you...
Try latkes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latke - Akronos, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Just for the record, dosa isn't a pancake either.
- jmoh, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3"A crispy pancake Muslim style"
WTF?
And Now I guess Italian pizza is now Crusade Pancakes?
This article blows, - nissanskyrice, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3"Doctors have determined....." Best laugh ive had all day.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+5Pancakes belongs on bunny's head.
- sparkysko, on 10/10/2007, -6/+8ǝʞɐɔuɐd ɐ ʇou sı ɐʇıd
- RustRobot, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Why is this on the front page?
- MagikPoo, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2I believe the difference between breads and pastry have been blurred by this article. All hail confusion!
- sgtbutterscotch, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2arabic? i thought it was middle-eastern
- babaduchi, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2i've had almost all of them. none of them should be considered bizarre because they're commonplace in their respective countries. this should get buried.... like now.
- ThatGeek, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2yeah, pita isnt pancakes. Its pita. theres a difference. not everything flat and brownish gold is pancakes
- gypsynuke, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2This is a terrible article. The author really needs to get out more.
- gerbil20, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Latkes are delicious, but they are a dietologist's nightmare. Carbs!!! fried in fat!!!
- mindsnare, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Savoury pancakes have been around for years in Australia, there's a chain here called the Pancake parlour, and another one called Panache, awesome pancakes.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3How ignorant...rednecks are sure funny.
- Seifey, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1KGB got him!
- gerbil20, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1I am sorry for you and your ignorance. I tried them all (and falafel is my favorite by far) and they are all delicious. Nevertheless, I have to agree that pita is not technically a pancake, whereas the lafa is. I like falafel in lafa (or my personal favorite - falafel with shawarma in lafa). Double helping of hummus and as much pickles as you can cram inside, please. Pass the fries and add some fried eggplants.
- LilJimmyNordin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0I have a bizarre pet monkey. It's got four legs, pointed ears, claws, whiskers and its breath smells like cat food.
- Jeveran, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1If you stretch "pancake" to mean "pan-cooked-unleavened-dough" then everything fits. The writing style suggests the article is aimed at lowest-common-denominator red state residents whose great travel accomplishment in life is getting out to the big new Wal*Mart superstore.
- pseudologue, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1who the ***** keeps digging this *****? it's the worst submission ever. goddamn ignorant bitches.
- sb76117, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1the picture just showed something that to us, resembles pancakes. but in reality, its the Ethiopians' favorite dish: "FOOD"
- LilJimmyNordin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0So Alliyah wasn't a pancake?
- LilJimmyNordin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Banh Xeo sounds like the name of some lame Star Wars fanfic character.
- vintagegeek, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Dugg just for the comments. It's fun seeing people have a conniption over pita. :D
- SteveCUBE, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Dammit, now I'm hungry for some shwarma
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1we call them potato fritters in my family but yer they rock.
Also watch out digg nazis will be screaming that
1: its not sweet
2: its not flat
3: its not perfectly round
4: zomg j00 r n0t l33tn33s - smartazz, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0***** Gross

- sgtbutterscotch, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1at first i didnt know what corydkiser was talking about it then i read the reply under him, then i read your post. Makes the yarlmulkes post pretty funny.
- mattlohkamp, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0this is coolest comment I've read in weeks.
