- cyclopsface, on 10/11/2007, -3/+98The story sounds crazy until you get to the word "methamphetamine," and then it all makes sense.
- uwjames, on 10/11/2007, -5/+68Please don't be in America, please don't be in America... *****.
- skjede, on 10/11/2007, -4/+52Sure, I just got branded on the face. I think I'll give the media permission to publish the picture on the internet. I doubt many people go there.
- ParmFarm, on 10/11/2007, -7/+53people are stupid these days.....I feel bad for the lady, but another question is,,,,who would make a brand that says "SNITCH" on it.......god
- draculthemad, on 10/11/2007, -1/+42This is epicly stupid.
If the guy she implicated in a *domestic violence* case is at all involved...
Lets see thats,
federal kidnapping,
witness tampering,
maiming,
more than one guy? conspiracy.
and the list just goes on-and-on.
Sounds like you just forfeited the rest of your life in prison for a domestic violence case.
Prison is probably the best place for this guy, and anyone that helped him. - candylandviper, on 10/11/2007, -3/+36That's insane
- JohnnyBoy117, on 10/11/2007, -6/+36Sounds like the mob is reading Harry Potter.
- dakilla91, on 10/11/2007, -2/+27Someone should brand the people that branded her with the word "Wanker" across their cheeks.
- GorfTron, on 10/11/2007, -4/+22Perhaps, these guys http://www.snitch.com/
will pay her some money to brand '.com' after it. - XStatic, on 10/11/2007, -1/+18Apparently in some cultures any communication with authorities is defined as being a snitch. It has gotten so bad that even daylight murders in full view of law abiding witnesses go unsolved. Not because of fear of reprisal, but as individuals stand up to what they believe is the moral don't tell on others stance.
I try to teach my kids not to be a tattle tale by suggesting that they instead remind their sibling what they are doing wrong so that they don't get in trouble and to always alert a parent or authority when someone is being unsafe or cruel.
I hope this leads to looking out for others doing wrong to stop them instead of simply trying to avoid getting an authority involved.
This "Thou shalt not snitch" movement is really getting out of hand and community leaders need to start turning it around. - prockcore, on 10/11/2007, -2/+15Gentlemen, I've got good news and bad news concerning our crime syndicate.
The bad news is we have a serious problem with people cooperating with the police.
The good news is I just hired a blacksmith. - qwertydvorak, on 10/11/2007, -2/+14"Trapani declined to identify the 38-year-old woman."
She's the one with SNITCH written on her face ! - clickwir, on 10/11/2007, -1/+12True, if it happened to me I wouldn't want pics of me on the internet..... but as far as a news story about someones deformed face, no pics no care.
- KibibyteBrain, on 10/11/2007, -0/+10Yes, but luckly I have a feeling these idiots will be regretting it quite a bit when they are ordered to pay for the expensive plastic surgery to fix it. I wish they could be forced to be the skin donors, too.
- Rikkochet, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10Sounds like a whole lot of winners in this case...
- ro0ke, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9You are a poet.
- TiMMY8765, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9Robert M. Snitch uses it to brand his cattle
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -8/+16meth is gay
- danewb, on 10/11/2007, -3/+9Damn... That sucks for her.
- CrazedGeek, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6"Trapani declined to identify the 38-year-old woman. He said the woman had not returned calls relaying interview requests from the news media."
There's no picture, either. - rcomegys, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6I was wondering if someone was going to guess where this had come from. This lady TOTALLY stole the idea from book 5. Sorry DarkYang, don't know why they're digging you down.
- ElRayQuieres, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6Why, were they British? =P
- ScottyQuest, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6Damn you Hermione! This time you've gone too far!
- leetdood, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5RTFA. 4 people were involved, and it was obvious they weren't very smart to begin with.
- ElRayQuieres, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5Trust her to keep the domestic violence secret? or any of their illegal activity?
Sounds like she's the one who is trustworthy. - ductoogle, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5first thing I thought of
- smacksaw, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Well, they may not have gotten a passing grade in Health class for their meth use, but I bet you they got an "A" in Metal Shop.

- darkened, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2It's called a coat hanger
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Is it that these types of horrible things are happening more and more frequently...or is it just that we now have sites like digg to read details about each one of them?
I propose this, and many more horrible crimes, have gone one for quite a while. It's just that the whole world wasnt able to read about some gang strife in a distant city. - whiterussian, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3This reminds me of when recently the rapper, Cam'ron, was interviewed by 60 Minutes and he said he wouldn't go to the police even if he found out a serial killer lived next door. This is the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTwipn-Fp_U
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2little snitch FTW!!!1
- sunshinemonster, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2What's the big deal? Lots of bad things are obviously going to happen in a huge industrial developed country like America. Crazy stuff happens everywhere, quit acting like America is cursed and the worst place in the universe.
- wishninja, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Especially in minority circles as severely oppressed as crack and meth users that are routinely handed 20 year or life sentences everyone's life is at stake if anyone in your group talks to the police for any reason. She is lucky to have her life. Never talk to the cops, NEVER!
Stop the war on drugs! Restore the constitution. See and treat addiction as a sickness. - tomi, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3"Bond for Standridge and Getz was set at $270,000 each. Bond for Avila was set at $90,000, and no bond was set for Valdez."
Man, Valdez sounds so unimportant. Everyone else gets high bonds, and he doesn't even get penny on his name. - leetdood, on 10/11/2007, -3/+5I agree, when I read the title I thought this story would be from the middle east.
- blakespoorbrain, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Gryffindor gets 150 points for finding the snitch!
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Did you read the article at all? The case she'd talked to the cops about was a domestic violence case, not a drug related one.
Well, the drugs probably lead to the violence, but that's another matter again - karbonx, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1same here
though in the book her face said sneak, not snitch - Itteki, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Tweekers SUCK!
- wsycng, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1No Pix = It never happened.
- sunshinemonster, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Bsnitch? What the heck is that?
- darkened, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3I'm glad, this woman got what she deserves.
I'm only shocked by how stupidly this was carried out that every person was so easily identified. - scheming, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3yea... awww no pics????
- widoka, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1...bnitch?
- phenolholic, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1***** meth smokers
- sunshinemonster, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Sorry, Earth does not provide "sunshine and butterflies."
- metallikop, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1This just reminds me of "POOR IMPULSE CONTROL" from Snow Crash.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Hope she gets the tattoo:

What is Digg?
