- healthinformer, on 09/05/2008, -2/+13Awesome! Good for her. Hope she lives to tell about it.
- hamandcheeseUK, on 09/06/2008, -0/+10Wow, I was rather confused when the description simply ended at "world"
I thought to myself "don't you always skydive over the world if you skydive?" - TheStooge1, on 09/06/2008, -0/+5They don't necessarily rescue people on Everest.
Many have died on the mountain and remain there today. - weiwuwei, on 09/05/2008, -1/+3I'm not sure what would possess her to do that, but we all have to follow our dreams, I suppose.
- adhara, on 09/06/2008, -0/+2I first read "Woman's eyes..."
I feel a little disappointed now. - HHP2K, on 09/06/2008, -0/+2I read the title thinking "Her eyes are going skydiving???"
- charlietuna, on 09/06/2008, -0/+2I think Jimmy Carter makes better use of his time.
Well, it takes all kinds. - Suneet67, on 09/07/2008, -0/+1EXTREME
- KidKenosha, on 09/06/2008, -0/+1I wonder if anyone has explained to this woman what will happen to her if it goes wrong. If she comes down anywhere higher up than she expects, she could be in very serious trouble. There wouldn't even be teams on the hill to help evacuate her, since October is way outside the normal climbing season.
I mean, skydiving has obvious risks associated with it, but they're fairly controllable. These aren't. 465ft isn't much at all, especially with (as mentioned earlier) jet-stream winds and a lot of clouds with rocks in. - sunnyd, on 09/06/2008, -0/+1Hope she caries along enough gear to make it down to the nearest available base camp, and then all the way down, and that's the least of her worries. Summiters generally spend at least two months at high altitudes to acclimatize to the low oxygen levels, if she's not accustomed she can pass out at the peak within minutes. Best of luck to her though, hope she does some research and consults with experts before trying this.
- ayeroxor, on 09/06/2008, -1/+2"hoping to become the first woman ever to skydive over the world"
She's going to skydive over THE WORLD!? !?! Wow, kidtechguru, good thing you just left that all ***** up! Because fixing things to make sense takes time, and when you don't care about anything except being the first submitter, time is not on your side! - Sardonic2U, on 09/08/2008, -0/+1And now for something completely different from the folks across the pond....
- ayeroxor, on 09/06/2008, -0/+1Reminds me of Douglas Adams' description of flying:
"Flying is learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss"
Hope she misses... - allaboutdatiki, on 09/06/2008, -2/+3Run out of things to do with your life? Attempt a skydive record over Mount Everest!
- chrismgtis, on 09/06/2008, -0/+1Jealousy at it's best.
Come skydive with me. I'll show you what it's like to really live on the edge. - ncredblstrength, on 09/07/2008, -0/+1Buried like this bitch is gonna be after her plane crashes or her chute fails...
- flubba, on 09/06/2008, -1/+2How does one skydive over the world?
- WhoDoneIt, on 09/06/2008, -1/+1Get your lazy ass out of the kitchen and do it yourself... er.. wait a minute, on second thought.
- theOster, on 09/06/2008, -1/+1i'd personally do a glide - more air time...

- eastcoast, on 09/05/2008, -4/+4You go girl! Do it for all of us!
- monsterette, on 09/06/2008, -1/+1 : O !
- chrismgtis, on 09/06/2008, -1/+1Skydivers know the risks when they do anything like this, not typical of just a day of skydiving over a drop zone. We are highly trained in what we do. If there's a 90% chance she will die, I can guarantee that she knows it and is taking all possible precautions.
- awarnick, on 09/05/2008, -3/+2That is crazy!
- friday1970, on 09/06/2008, -2/+1Aren't the jet stream winds strong during those time? The only time I would think this could be possible is during april-may, when incoming monsoon storms push the streams off. She does run the possibility of being blown right back against the mountain,or blown deep into Tibet.
- inactive, on 09/05/2008, -8/+2What the hell is she thinking!!! Is that even legal? I mean, think about the rescue team that will have to go after her!!!
