- pasher1221, on 11/12/2007, -2/+20Funny... I am eating deer jerky right now. Boy those bears don't know what they are missing!

- Darkgh0st, on 11/12/2007, -1/+16Escape from 2 ***** Polar bears only to have the Zoo kill you. Nice
- clark24, on 11/11/2007, -2/+17I see what you did there.
- thedarkrabbit, on 11/12/2007, -1/+15Polar Bear wakes up, yawns.... "What? Holy *****. Hey, Frank... how drunk WAS I last night...?"
- whatthefu, on 11/11/2007, -1/+13The video made me laugh. I suck.
- garg, on 11/11/2007, -1/+11I've gone into shock so many times browsing the internets. I'm glad the zoo guys weren't around or else I'd be euthanized.
- arcticblue, on 11/12/2007, -0/+10I euthanized my weighted companion cube, but it wasn't suffering from anything other than being loved by me... Am I a bad person?
- iluvatar1003, on 11/11/2007, -0/+9Feisty Fawn
- carpespasm, on 11/11/2007, -0/+9how is dying by shock after being chased around an enclosed area in freezing water by two polar bears better than a quick death by rifle or truck? at least those ways are quick and less stressful.
- Trocisp, on 11/12/2007, -2/+10You also don't see people being.. you know, a deer.
- Audacitor, on 11/11/2007, -1/+9rtfa: It didn't get harmed by the bears; they were young, and the dear was aggressive enough toward them to keep them at bay. It died later from shock, due to its dive into the bears water, which was of course set to polar temperatures.
- lucask, on 11/11/2007, -1/+9Yes they would.
"thick undercoat does, however, insulate the bears: they overheat at temperatures above 10 °C (50 °F), and are nearly invisible under infrared photography; only their breath and muzzles can be easily seen.[9]" - Abjure, on 11/11/2007, -0/+7All you need is the Benny Hill music playing over it and you're set.
- WernerCD, on 11/11/2007, -1/+7who cares = no one
- kru1e, on 11/11/2007, -1/+6how ever = however
- StefanVincent, on 11/11/2007, -0/+4Somehow everything always comes back to an Ubuntu reference
- zomgflamer, on 11/11/2007, -0/+4If I worked at that zoo I would have cut open its stomach and wore the dear over my back.
- Rabbethan, on 11/11/2007, -0/+4Yes, in nature, polar bears chase deer.
- MutatedNantuko, on 11/11/2007, -0/+3Stupid polar bears, swim faster!
- jthomp3120, on 11/11/2007, -1/+4you seem conflicted my son.
- Todesengelvr6, on 11/11/2007, -0/+3I can scratch that off the list of things I need to know...
1. Deer swim faster than polar bears. - clownloach, on 11/12/2007, -3/+6good for the deer it was young bears :)
- thedarkrabbit, on 11/11/2007, -1/+4"Awww, look Mommy. The Bears and they deer are playing tag! Just like in the cartoons!"
- inactive, on 11/11/2007, -0/+3Next, on Animal Showdown.... Polar Bear vs Deer....
(i think that was the name of the show, wasnt it? you know, the 3d rendered fake fights?) - Klink258, on 11/11/2007, -0/+2"He did how ever die after jumping in the cold water!"
However is one word.
I feel more sorry for the young bears, after being scared by an aggressive animal. - NeonElixir, on 11/11/2007, -0/+2Poor thing. We get deer in my yard all the time. The area behind us was woods only 10 years or so ago. They also cut down another large wooded area in the city to build a mall. It's so sad. Sometimes the ones that come through are injured :o(
- DestroyFascism, on 11/11/2007, -1/+3Now if only Dick Cheney would fall out of his plane and land in Iran.....
- LeeSoong, on 11/11/2007, -1/+3Don't ever go into shock at the Pittsburgh Zoo - they will kill you ?
Funny, First Aid training teaches you how to deal with people going into shock.
A bunch of Pittsburgh Zoo Animal Handling Professionals couldn't figure out how to save one deer from shock ?!?
I feel really bad for all the zoo animals held captive in their care.
Deer Killers. - xwayne, on 11/11/2007, -0/+2Best comment ever.
- presidentjapan, on 11/11/2007, -0/+2Wow. And you'd think he live after it all, too.
- nate886, on 11/11/2007, -0/+2Awww... no sound.
- Audacitor, on 11/11/2007, -5/+7It died from shock anyway. It dove into water of a temperature meant for polar bears, not deer.
- djdigital, on 11/11/2007, -0/+2http://kdka.com/pittsburghzoo/deer.polar.bears.2.5 ...
- inigomntoya, on 11/11/2007, -1/+3"Yes dear, and just like in the natural world as well."
- rdoger6424, on 11/11/2007, -1/+31. Lyme Disease
2. Nope, actually deer populations were lower in the wild. - inactive, on 11/11/2007, -1/+3Lucky son of a bitch.
I'm married. I get nothing but bitching & whining. - klaupacius, on 11/11/2007, -0/+2That deer swam well.
- tunapez, on 11/11/2007, -0/+2Here's an extended version, first two minutes is the bears dunking each other, minding their own biz. Then, all of a sudden, a dear pops in the pool. One goes immediately into pursuit but the other sat dumbfounded for a good ten count. They coulda had Bambi if they really wanted her.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUWMQcB8Ftc - ubergeek09, on 11/11/2007, -0/+2That's insane.
- inigomntoya, on 11/11/2007, -0/+2Kinda reminds me of a Benny Hill bit...
- dolby, on 11/11/2007, -1/+3Somebody get these polar bear protection the deers are trying to kill them again...
- iiDLii, on 11/11/2007, -0/+2that's what I was just thinking - chances are, we are sick in the head;)
- inactive, on 11/11/2007, -0/+2Your not very bright are you?
- tunapez, on 11/11/2007, -0/+2make that a deer and a good 30 count dumbfounded, scaredy bear.
- selrahc, on 11/11/2007, -0/+2 Shotguns are the only thing you can hunt with in some areas. I live in a rifle zone but about thirty miles south it's shotgun only.
