- inactive, on 11/21/2008, -2/+158ONION: Dead husband accused of killing wife, gets life.
CLUE: Dead husband with a coffin in the hearse! Solved!
FUNERAL HOME: 1. Dead Husband 2. Wife in hearse 3. Crash 4. Profit! - Maxwell1234, on 11/21/2008, -1/+147Agreed but, "This is why I'm all about cremation..." ??? THIS is why? Are you really concerned about a coffin hitting you or a loved one in the head after a car accident on the way to a funeral? I mean we all have our fears but...
- Malyn, on 11/21/2008, -3/+115Wow. Live together, die together. I wouldn't want to live long without my love.
But how are they already sending him to grave the day after he died? What, were they just biding their time until he died? Coffin waiting, suit already selected. - inactive, on 11/21/2008, -10/+118He's never gonna give her up!
- phaedoHD, on 11/21/2008, -12/+103This is why i'm all about cremation... also because i think its silly to spend thousands of dollars on some coffin and plot to put my body and coffin. If anything they just dig plots and plop the bodies in there. This way nature will take its course much quicker. I just think how much emphasis people put on what happens to the body is ridiculous. I could care less if my spouse used my head as a hat and made a jacket out of my hide. Who cares? I'm dead. Though i'd give someone props if they took out their spouses brain (after they are dead of course) and put it on their head and said "look at me, i'm davy crocket", simpsons style ;-)
- malechite, on 11/21/2008, -0/+86thats what you are supposed to do
- miggyb, on 11/21/2008, -2/+82Is it bad that I think this is horribly romantic?

...KABLAM!!! - temsi, on 11/21/2008, -0/+64Some religions believe your soul only goes to heaven if you're buried within 24 hours...
not sure if that's Daylight Savings. - gullyben, on 11/21/2008, -28/+84irony is a dead scene
-dillinger escape plan - 3gibberish4q57, on 11/21/2008, -11/+66Killed by the very thing that held her husband's dead body. How ironic.
Wait, no. That's in no way ironic. - cawpin, on 11/21/2008, -8/+62It's a situational irony, guys. Get over it. You wouldn't expect a coffin to kill somebody. It did, and therefor can be considered ironic. Irony has a far broader definition than you seem to recognize.
- keithconly, on 11/21/2008, -1/+53Least she doesn't to live the rest of her life without him? :/
Anyway, tragic. - inactive, on 11/21/2008, -6/+56I think that's called a coincidence.

- inactive, on 11/21/2008, -1/+42i used to have a fear that it was trees that killed off the dinosaurs and were just bored with watching them. and now they're letting us humans survive because they're more fascinated by us than those lizards... and now they're watching us...
i didn't respect the trees for their decision and thought if they were really cool they'd have let both humans and dinosaurs survive and battle it out.... and all the evidence was there, that the only reason sharks and aquatic life survived was because trees weren't down in the ocean.
i had this idea when i was seven or eight... the fear has worn off since then. - inactive, on 11/21/2008, -3/+44REVEEEENGE!

- Knowltey, on 11/21/2008, -2/+22Actually she did, it was just a really short rest of her life.
Husband's ghost: Honey If I'm going, I'm taking you with me. - HenvY, on 11/21/2008, -0/+19Not that broad.
www.instantrimshot.com - BigManOnCampus, on 11/21/2008, -0/+18It's possible she was on her way to having him cremated. I believe some places burn you inside the coffin. (yeah, it's a tremendous waste)
- StuartGibson, on 06/14/2009, -2/+20@nerdherder - so if you got laid you would think that was ironic?
- AndrewDB, on 11/21/2008, -5/+23That's not irony.
Irony is if her husband was murdered by her, she evades police, the coffin kills her and the next day the cops find out she killed him. - ultraseamus, on 11/21/2008, -1/+17Irony seems to be one concept that many people argue over. I can see why though, even my English teacher in high school did not understand the difference between irony and coincidence, she played that "isn't it ironic" song for us in an attempt to explain irony.
I personally do not think that this story is ironic, I would think it would at least be closer to irony if she had killed her husband. And full on irony if she had killed her husband and was in the hearse with the assumption that it was the only safe place where she herself would not be killed. Or better yet if she killed him for the life insurance, and then with the extra money bought him a very expensive, heavier then normal coffin.
But my point is, everyone seems to have a different opnion, and I am sure there are some diggers who will say that my examples were also not ironic. - zakatov, on 11/21/2008, -3/+19win
- Knowltey, on 11/21/2008, -0/+16That's quite commonplace, especially for people that are known to be about to die, like terminal patients for example. My grandfather was dying of liver failure and was expected to only live for three days. He was buried the day he died.
- adbo, on 11/21/2008, -1/+17Who forgot to strap the damn coffin in?!
- Elnegr0grande, on 11/21/2008, -5/+212 for 1 special.
