Where on Earth is Waldo?

whereonearthiswaldo.wordpress.… — Artist Melanie Coles (and friends) created a giant 54-foot tall Waldo on a rooftop somewhere in Vancouver, Canada. The idea is to wait till a Google fly-by, so we can all then play Where (on Earth) is Waldo on Google Maps!

  • nancyblueskies, on 04/10/2008, -0/+3Hi- I'm one of the students who helped Melanie paint and install Waldo on the secret rooftop - and it is so fun -- even before Google Earth finds it! I also wrote an article about her project on my blog which gives other examples of art made using Google Earth as a medium and inserts her work into the burning question "Is Google God?". Also there is a 2007 photo of a huge (biodegradable) Homer Simpson which showed up on a British hillside next to the famous chalkdrawing fertility symbol "The Cerne Abbes Giant". Here is my link
