- stonebear, on 10/11/2007, -7/+355They are always supposed to look permanent, but such fixtures are often removable.
- Digitalfilm43, on 10/11/2007, -27/+330I'm thinking photoshopped. The pillar directly behind the van (furthest right) is not inset like the other 6 are. It's also the furthest off center (of the tile).
Still pretty funny. - raiderj, on 10/11/2007, -26/+195Oh my GOD! I just realized how crappy this new comment system is.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -15/+170hahaha ... like it ... long walk home!
- raiderj, on 10/11/2007, -20/+166This is dumb. Obviously they drove in there, so there's a way out. And no, they're not placing the columns, they're (re)grouting the tile.
- techmaster, on 10/11/2007, -7/+133LMAO those idiots didn't strap down their ladder. They're going to get a hell of a surprise when they drive off and it falls off their van. Man that IS a funny picture!!!
- MrEddy, on 10/11/2007, -32/+147Took me a few to notice but now that I do.. HHHAAHAHAHAHHH DUMB ASSES!
- Manuelmty, on 10/11/2007, -2/+101I got it !!! it was taken with a crappy camera
- satterfield, on 10/11/2007, -7/+95If they are government workers then there is no problem. They will simply have to wait until the job is done before moving on to the next. True masters of getting out of work.
- Barman, on 10/11/2007, -8/+92They installed some barriers to keep cars out...
- scarletspidah, on 10/11/2007, -7/+89I feel stupid it took me like three minutes to figure out. First i thought a plane dumped ***** all over that area and they were cleaning it then I got it.
- rglover, on 10/11/2007, -14/+80I see it, but it's not funny...
- Asianwaste, on 10/11/2007, -1/+66No exit strategy
- MrZee, on 10/11/2007, -8/+70Teleportation skillz!
- Jo9100, on 10/11/2007, -12/+57if it is the barriers, this is so not funny...
- Ajajadude, on 10/11/2007, -3/+47Actually, those barriers probably are the kind that are removable and you throw a lock on to keep random people from removing them.
Had them at the college I went to to keep unauthorized vehicles from getting on the sidewalks (we had big ass sidewalks) - gr00vy, on 10/11/2007, -2/+40Almost always one or more of the pillars are locked and can be moved/removed to allow the passage of a vehicle. That's probably the case here. Go to trailheads and other places where these things are and take a close look.
- interg12, on 10/11/2007, -5/+42keep staring then
- Conwaysb0718, on 10/11/2007, -2/+38You guys obviously dont recognize the BMW Helo-van hybrid.
- Alfdog, on 10/11/2007, -6/+40geez, who pissed in your cheerios this morning?
- BritishGolgo13, on 10/11/2007, -0/+34Only one of them can be moved and opens a secret passage to the Master Sword.
- jstohler, on 10/11/2007, -2/+34Try un-crossing your eyes like with those Magic Eye pictures.
- jjb123, on 10/11/2007, -2/+32Agreed, also, It looks like someone just took the smudge tool and went crazy.
- cuoops, on 10/11/2007, -3/+32They are not wearing gloves or eye protection. He's not using the correct shovel. The workplace is cluttered..etc.
- Steyr47, on 10/11/2007, -0/+23I disagree with you, but I agree with the other guy.
- Doorfingers, on 10/11/2007, -4/+25It looks like they could fit it between the two last pillars, but maybe not.
- xerus, on 10/11/2007, -1/+21Well, all they need is the Magic Mirror and they can warp back to the light world where those barriers wont be there.
- chad78, on 10/11/2007, -9/+27Don't you mean that this image appears to have been enhanced with Adobe® Photoshop® image manipulation software.
- Llance, on 10/11/2007, -0/+17In London (which this might be) removable posts are pretty common, especially in the City. But to be honest, that hadn't occurred to me when the light bulb went on, so i was having a "big grin" moment until I saw your very rational response. Party pooper :)
- slsanity, on 10/11/2007, -0/+16http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a137/sheeplostsanity/erm.jpg
There, now it's not photoshopped, so now you can enjoy the joke. - arjung, on 10/11/2007, -2/+18wtf? i cant believe i clicked 8 times to read these stupid comments.
- bruenig, on 10/11/2007, -6/+21Pretty sure that van can squeeze through.
- kcpwnsgman, on 10/11/2007, -0/+15and we all know why now.
- robdavy, on 10/11/2007, -6/+19There's definitely something fishy going on around that bottom right pillar. It's not in the centre of the square like the others and the slab colours are all off
- PasteEater, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13I think you're right.
Don't mean to ruin the fun, but those posts are more than likely removable. They have these in Oakland, CA at a park downtown. I did a shoot there last Fall, and we needed to get production trucks out near the grass. The city removed the posts, and we drove right in. - bbeahm, on 10/11/2007, -2/+14i agree with you agreeing to the agreement
(yay threading) - ihate2regist, on 10/11/2007, -3/+15sometimes one is removable
- scubasteve377, on 10/11/2007, -1/+12there is no way the are getting that truck through that space between the barriers and the building in the lower right. Maybe if they don't mind losing a mirror or two and ***** up the paint. Even then, maybe.
- bewareofmoose, on 10/11/2007, -7/+18The picture's too big!
..Is that it? That's not it, is it... - aybdude42, on 10/11/2007, -3/+13They trapped their own van inside.
- tehgoatman, on 10/11/2007, -1/+11im an idiot ignore my last comment heh
- Technopundit, on 10/11/2007, -2/+12Yep. This comment system effectively kills digg for me. It's not salvageable.
- MySliceOf314159, on 10/11/2007, -5/+14I don't know if this is stupid, but I measured with a ruler and the can should fit easily between the posts.
- linagee, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10Get out your pixel rulers. Even if they aren't removable, they will still be able to get through. Maybe they'll only have an inch or two, but they will definitely make it.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -9/+18i agree
- affanjam, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9The man with the shovel could be cleaning up some extra cement.
- Ahnteis, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8Often, one of the pillars in a set like that can be removed. It's obvious they drove in there to clean up the mess--they weren't installing the pillars.
- ryannerd, on 10/11/2007, -3/+11Does anyone agree that the new commenting system has some problems?
- elsJake, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9exif sais it's directly off the camera.
Grain and ***** quality is because it was made with a mobile phone under poor light conditions.
...not fake.
Besides it's not like you're looking at a photo of aliens , why would anyone think of something like this and then create fake photos ? - sweetrelease, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7I know, its The Laughing Man walking in the bottom corner
