- lxevolution, on 12/27/2008, -2/+190Yeah this is dangerous. How could such a thin pole support that large sign! It could fall and hurt someone!
- bixby1, on 12/27/2008, -5/+101I'm moving to Texas.
- aereaus, on 12/27/2008, -3/+95Liquor in the front, shooter in the back.
- PhillyMJS, on 12/27/2008, -6/+89Brian: Bottle of Jack Daniel's, please.
Clerk: There you go.
Brian: Thanks. What's this?
Clerk: That's your gun. Buy some liquor, get a free gun.
Brian: Is that like a special you have on now or something?
Clerk: Nope. Texas state law. You have a nice day now. - mvanhorn, on 12/27/2008, -1/+67Oh man.. it's legit. http://doubleshotliquor.com/
"DOUBLE SHOT LIQUOR & GUNS IS A UNIQUE WOMAN OWNED BUSINESS. ON THE FLIP SIDE OF THE LIQUOR BUSINESS IS THE INCORPORATION OF GUNS" - doublefelix, on 12/27/2008, -0/+37Now THAT'S a convenience store.
- ronjohnson, on 12/27/2008, -3/+38Yeah, I am all about that store
- d2002, on 12/27/2008, -2/+26This is why I love Digg.
- 4rp4n3t, on 12/28/2008, -0/+23Alternatively, get ***** faced, buy a gun and rob the bank.
- diothar, on 12/27/2008, -0/+22Being from Texas, that was my first thought too!
- 0260, on 12/27/2008, -15/+34This is how America should be. If you don't like it.. ***** off
- ZincSaucier, on 12/27/2008, -2/+18That's almost as dangerous as a McDonald's one
- chesterjosiah, on 12/27/2008, -0/+15I found it on Google Maps Street View!!
http://tinyurl.com/774du3 - mvanhorn, on 12/27/2008, -0/+15I didn't understand that.. can I purchase my guns and liquor in the drive thru with my paypal credentials? because that would = win.
- d2002, on 12/27/2008, -0/+12Ha ha great work Chester. The only one someone can beat that is to actually go there and get themselves a picture of them driving through and shooting some pokemons or something.
- ThunderKitty, on 12/27/2008, -1/+13Where are the drugs?
- thizzlebot, on 12/27/2008, -0/+12Drive-bys have never been so easy
- binky79, on 12/27/2008, -1/+13There is a place near me with a sign for "Doughnuts, Guns, Archery."
I found it on Flickr
http://flickr.com/photos/49539268@N00/276170703/ - BossKey, on 12/27/2008, -1/+12The Bush family is from elite, preppy New England, actually.
- Rapter09, on 12/27/2008, -0/+11In their "Services" section, the only thing not in caps (and subsequently, not related whatsoever to the website or business:)
"Hint: Want to sell your products or services directly from this page? With PayPal, you can make it easy for your visitors to buy now. Click the "Page Settings" link at the top of your screen to activate PayPal buttons on this page." - Neworab, on 12/27/2008, -2/+12actually that came as somewhat of a surprise to me..
- iamtenninjas, on 12/27/2008, -0/+10Texas? There's a gun shop right next to the liquor store in my old town. (In New York state.)
And it's also right across from the bank, so you can get all of your money out before heading to spend it all on booze and guns. - BN89, on 12/27/2008, -2/+12I can't imagine ANYONE thinking you're stupid.
- JamesBondJr, on 12/27/2008, -1/+11It's alright, they sell hunting licenses there to go along with the booze and bullets
- Dumbledorito, on 12/27/2008, -0/+9What? No ciggies?
- PrairieDoggin, on 12/27/2008, -3/+11Woman owned... that's just icing on the cake.
Still redneck though. - lovemorgul, on 12/27/2008, -1/+9I think that it's something that anybody who has technical skill could do.....
- mrcaulfield, on 12/27/2008, -1/+9Bush Jr wasn't born in Texas.
Furthermore, it is Texas that is putting Rove and Cheney's feet to the fire.
Sincerely,
a proud Texan - ilikedemoon, on 12/27/2008, -18/+26I get it. Guns and alcohol are two things being slowly taken away by the system. whatever.
Must be from down south in hillbilly country! - andrewpickens, on 12/27/2008, -0/+7Its the perfect place to go during this recession.
- Psygnosis, on 12/27/2008, -3/+10America! ***** Yeah!
- BossKey, on 12/27/2008, -1/+8Of course something can go wrong. What if this drunk, armed man goes to see the next screening of "Benjamin Button?"
- adkenc, on 12/27/2008, -0/+7maybe they meant lbj?
- bg2500, on 12/27/2008, -2/+9I bet Hunter S. Thomson would have stopped in a place like that. (That dude was awesome)
- frostyausty, on 12/27/2008, -0/+7Shouldn't that be a Question mark instead of an exclamation mark? Just saying.
Nice job though? - giggadee, on 12/27/2008, -0/+6Incorrect. In Texas, with a CHL (concealed handgun license) it is perfectly legal to carry your weapon into any place that sells alcohol for off-premises consumption, or any establishment that derives less than 51% of their revenue from on-premises consumption of alcohol.
- PrettyBoyFloyd, on 12/27/2008, -1/+7No, that's why they have a drive-through window.
- addicted68098, on 12/27/2008, -0/+6Not thats what I call one stop shopping!
- azureskies88, on 12/27/2008, -2/+8This may not be a popular view, but I don't see how this is inherently dangerous at all. It's good to see that there are some places that are not yet affected by anti-gun propaganda.
- greatpaimei, on 12/28/2008, -0/+6The only difference: this one has a drive thru
- trolley, on 12/27/2008, -0/+6What do you expect in a country that has a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms?
- Jiuzton, on 12/28/2008, -1/+7don't mess with texas
- AnGryTreE, on 12/27/2008, -0/+6If they sold heart clogging fried chicken behold the perfect weapon arsenal.
- pagno, on 12/27/2008, -1/+6It make perfect sense(if youre from Texas), but, isnt it a felony to carry a firearm into places where alcohol is sold? I guess the loophole is the gun is sold there. Kooky Texas legislature.
- zantos420, on 12/27/2008, -1/+6i bet she wears flannel
- SonicAD, on 12/27/2008, -0/+5All they need is cigarettes and then they could call it the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms.
- GovernmentsGun, on 12/27/2008, -0/+5There is a place in Arizona where you can get booze and guns through the drive-through window. I used to drive by it every day on my way to work.
