- MasterThief117, on 10/10/2007, -2/+22Your mother tends to do the same thing to me.
- Dradis, on 10/10/2007, -3/+22Why would he delete it when he can just revert to a previous save game before the two fat guys ruined everything?
- drouk1556, on 10/10/2007, -0/+18No, because the guy's decision to lie down in protest of the simulation would be part of the simulation, wouldn't it? PARADOX.
- flashboy131, on 10/10/2007, -8/+25that was lame.
- HunterTV, on 10/10/2007, -2/+14There's an 80% chance I don't give a *****.

- Sell, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9Wow the artist is really up on current events. But his material is no different than what I read in 30 posts on Digg today.
- korupture, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8All your lives are belong to us.
- KniteWulf, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8It would just happen again. Apparently, its part of the story line.
- skealoha86, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8that's because fat gamer macbook owners hits too close to home!
- mishabear, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8If this was really a sim, there'd be a LOT more pr0n.
- Audacitor, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Okay, there are thousands of stories submitted everyday. You think that you, one person, can comb through all of them? You would have to work twenty-four hours a day!
- Todesengelvr6, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6What the hell do mac users know about gaming?
- Gryfft, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Aw, really? And here I was hoping I would be able to run The Universe on my new Alienware if I just bought another gig of RAM.
- Dedmaker, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Why did the prime designer make all of his dudes fat? they can't fight very much like that.
- jiminizer, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5they sure beat my attempt ^^ http://www.bay-computers.net/comic/sims.png (yes, it's a little large ^^)
- miriclaire, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Nice idea, though.

- Lobuh, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3OK, this is lame.
- Scheissen, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Fatties!
- 68024, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Not finished watching this (18 minutes in) but man is it painful to watch. The biggest thinking error people seem to be making is that they forget that people are here precisely because this universe happened to be "tuned" this way (I already have a problem with "tuned" because it implies somebody tuning it). Who knows how many billions of other universes may be out there that are sterile or simply non-viable as ours happened to be. The whole idea that the universe is here for us is complete and utter bs. We're here because of the universe, not the other way around.
- Kookami, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Episode of the Twilight Zone did it better:

Punchline is, aliens come back and clarify they meant we SUCKED at it. And then wipe us out because we have no means to defend ourselves. - TheTeenVote, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2http://bestpicever.com/pic-629-Just-a-simulation until the site is restored
- Scheissen, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3He can just search for "Picture," "Photo," and "Screenshot."
- OneAndOnlySnob, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I see Joy of Tech still sucks.
- 68024, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1ok... glad to see this docu is redeeming itself later on on this topic. Then again the discussion about intelligence is very speculative. Who knows what redundant processes exist in the brain that would actually increase intelligence without actually having to make the brain larger. Saying that we're at the pinnacle of intelligence and that the only way to improve it is technology is also highly controversial.
- sgin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1this google vid explains simulation theory way better than that article,
smart people explaining it instead of some new york times writer

- waynehoggett, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0It'd have to be a PS3 game...
- annenk38, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0The Matrix reference is inappropriate. People in The Matrix were "brain in a vat" types, they were not fully simulated, which is technically a lot harder to implement. The whole "we are living inside a simulation" argument rests on our entire universe, including our bodies running inside a very powerful computer simulation. This is a lot easier to implement than The Matrix and is actually feasible. Some work is already being done on it; see, for instance the folding@home project:
http://folding.stanford.edu/ - Zodiac, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2Theres not enough RAM to run that many living things at the same time.
