- orangester, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Here in Iowa I live about 15 minutes away from the world's largest truck stop. Pathetic I know...
http://www.iowa80truckstop.com/ - knedl, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Let's see if I got this right, the world's biggest roadside attractions are only in America?
- SantaClauz, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4I thought EVERYTHING was bigger in Texas... didn't even make the list. Tsk tsk tsk.
- phderop, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5Everything is big in the US, even the women.
- knightblade2oo4, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2i think this deserves a spot:
http://www.roadsideamerica.com/attract/WASEAboots.html - mrswirl, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2That's exactly what I was thinking.
- themarq, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2The list of "Big Things" for:

- RaisingSpirits, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Here are some others from Wisconsin. Tragically, some of them are no longer around...

For those not familiar with the Hodag: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hodag - meatmcguffin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2We also have Stonehenge which is the world's largest pointless object. Does it count if someone builds a road beside something that was already there?
- jspegele, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Who else builds giant cuckoo clocks and balls of twine and puts them alongside highways in the middle of nowhere?
- j3one, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1dugg for I80 reference.
- bmorrow, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I live near the big tire in Allen Park. They took the nail out a few years ago and sold it for $3,000. The guy who bought it started a website around it. http://www.bignail.com/
- roseap, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1They forgot the Worlds Largest Egg, in Winlock WA. http://www.roadsideamerica.com/attract/WAWINegg.html
- CovardeAnonimo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1my state has the world's largest payphone. but it's not a roadside atraction, it's located in the city's main square in itu.
here: http://www.itu.sp.gov.br/exageros.htm - j3one, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1"Uniroyal Tire" - Looks like they just keep getting ran over..
- Bwanamukubwa, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1This is the worlds second largest alligator in Kissimmee Florida about 5 miles away from Disney world. Right next door is the nations second highest revenuing (SP?) walmart, and Medevil times is also within walking distance. Great place to vacation, very family oriented and family owned. always full of interesting people from other countries.

Popularized, also, by Wierd Al Yankovic's song "Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota."
[ http://local.live.com/?v=2&sp=Point.rhgsfv73z9f9_Darwin%2C%20Meeker%2C%20Minnesota%2C%20United%20States___&encType=1 ] - TargetDog, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1The talking loon is pretty scary. I bet if you could ship that back in time a thousand or two years you could get people to worship it.
- jpmoney03, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Minnesota has so many more it isn't funny. Just off the top of my head. Hockey Stick and puck, Tiger muskie, Deer and I know my Dad has made me see more than that just don't feel like trying to remember anymore.
- hiPpymIck, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1i think the peanut one #24 is a little unusual
http://travel.howstuffworks.com/enlarge-image.htm?terms=roadside+attractions&gallery=1&page=23 - MKautz, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1No love for Salem Sue, the worlds largest Holstein Cow? http://www.roadsideamerica.com/attract/NDSALcow.html
- indyGuy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1While not necessarily "wacky", Alabama has several Saturn rockets standing off I-65 on the north end of the state. http://www.myspacemuseum.com/saturn.htm The space and rocket center is in nearby Huntsville (which has even LARGER rockets, full scale space shuttle, and an SR71 visible from the road). A lot more impressive than the Iowa-80 truck stop (sorry iowans)
- violentvinyl, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1No. Your country has the world's biggest WHINER.
- hoovcluck, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Reminds me of my apartment.
- jhuebel, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Let me correct that for you. It should read "the largest waste of time-- digg." There. That's better.
- ahhell, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I like Dog River's Big Dirty Hoe.
- bongowaxx, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1My home city of Beaumont, Texas has the world's largest Fire Hydrant.... There's loads of "World's Largest" type things in Texas... A glaring omission, I'd say.
- aguynamedben, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1not sure if this was in there (didn't want to click through 96 photos), but this Cadillac Ranch in Texas is way cooler than most of those.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cadillac_Ranch - sinembarg0, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1This is not relevant to the OP. Texans could make that statue and put it in West Virginia, and The Worlds Biggest ***** would be in West Virginia.
- jhuebel, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1A fellow Beaumont resident. Hola.
- dagooh, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I know about it because of Sam and Max.
- Bonzodog, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Why doesn't Texas put up a huge statue of G W Bush, and then they will have The Worlds Biggest *****!
- hoovcluck, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1You also have the world's oldest quarterback.
- hoovcluck, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Because Dubya was not born in Texas.
- hoovcluck, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I have seen the world's largest thermometer and the world's most white trash trailer park.
- ehberg, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I cant believe I just flipped through 96 of those pictures.
- mttiseman, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0I'm glad to
- iceschade, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Haha, awesome. I was actually planning on replying with "Our toilets, because we're all fat." But you beat me to it. ^_^
