- KrayzieKyd, on 01/09/2009, -1/+59The internet is on computers now?
- kd420, on 01/09/2009, -0/+33Anyone know why these are considered "Web 2.0". Also, "...the Rick Astley video Never Going to Let You Down " does not exist, fail.

Best description of web 2.0 ever! - NiravGorajia, on 01/09/2009, -1/+14The most common Web 2.0 buzzword?
Unprofitable. - ileftfark, on 01/09/2009, -1/+12'Duckrolling' had nothing to do with Rick Astley. And what does "Web 2.0" have to do with any of these? Fail.
- shawns, on 01/09/2009, -2/+11STFU!
- specialK16, on 01/09/2009, -0/+8For those who care, duckrolling came before the rick roll. Duck rolling began in 4chan's /b/ board when moot (the admin and owner of the site) began to filter the word 'egg' to display duck. So people saying eggroll would get duckroll instead. Didn't took long before people began posting links that were supposedly related to the discussion but instead linked you to the image of a duck with wheels.
When the first GTAIV trailer came up, Rockstar's site went down due to demand of millions of fans trying to see the trailer. Some guy then began to post links where you were supposedly able to see the trailer, but instead, linked to Astley's video and thus, the rick roll was born. - falafelkiosken, on 01/09/2009, -0/+8wtf has this to do with web 2.0, (except the last term of course) please stop this 2.0 *****, most people did years ago
- fragsta, on 01/09/2009, -0/+8As fond of those words as I am, these had been popular long before "Web 2.0" was - I think the point of the article is, despite the fact that @fedak is right that none of these terms have anything to do with Web 2.0 they are relatively modern Internet slang terms.
Wow, I need a holiday. - judicar, on 01/09/2009, -1/+8OGC
- inactive, on 01/10/2009, -0/+7This is ***** bull *****. FTW, fail, and Rickrolling emerged well before this "Web 2.0" crap. Does the author think the life of internet memes begins when his newfag ass learns about them? The author should be kicked in the throat and so should anyone who dugg this up.
- saranagati, on 01/10/2009, -0/+7i'm pretty sure Napster --> The Pirate Bay would be much more accurate.
- TexasShiv, on 01/09/2009, -0/+7Go Kart.
- saranagati, on 01/10/2009, -0/+7you must be somewhere in the range of 13? most of the text messaging acronyms were used in chat rooms, forums, bbs, etc long before anyone anyone was texting, let along even had cell phones.
- drgmdp, on 01/10/2009, -0/+6FTW FTL?
- BoneStamp, on 01/09/2009, -0/+6Ya, this more about memes of the web than web 2.0 itself.
- OpticalLiam, on 01/09/2009, -0/+6What a terrible article (and comments). Since when was web 2.0 anything to do with these terms?
- doshindude, on 01/10/2009, -0/+6Except
mp3.com --> Napster
should be
mp3.com --> The Pirate Bay
Referencing Napster is a bit outdated now. - marshallk, on 01/09/2009, -1/+7yup, there's a whole lot of other phrases we could have done - this one took awhile though?
- schnikies79, on 01/10/2009, -0/+5Buzzwords based on a buzzword?
Web 2.0 is itself, a buzzword, nothing more. - petebot, on 01/09/2009, -0/+5FAIL, indeed.
- immatellyouwhat, on 01/09/2009, -0/+5"So there you go. Now you don't have to be a wall flower at parties any more."
- CrushThemTorg, on 01/10/2009, -0/+5I just wanted to let you know that the internet thinks you're an idiot.
- ngmcs8203, on 01/10/2009, -0/+51337 and Pwned were around way before Web 2.0
- digitalpencil, on 01/09/2009, -0/+5yeah, but since when has web 2.0 been reduced to *chan memes?
- Xwhy, on 01/09/2009, -1/+6Gee, and I always thought that FTW was "fhat the wuck".
- seantubridy, on 01/10/2009, -0/+5This article made me puke in my mouth.
If you're going to mention a bunch of crap that has nothing to do with web 2.0, at least have the balls to mention 2 girls, one cup. - LifeNova, on 01/10/2009, -0/+5Article fail.
- nshady, on 01/10/2009, -0/+4...'eating your own dogfood'? Really? That's what you picked?

- Zomgondo, on 01/10/2009, -0/+4The period. Find it. Know it. Use it.
- tgc1, on 01/10/2009, -0/+4Needs more Megahertz.
- TrendyTim, on 01/10/2009, -0/+4How about the origin of 'after the jump', so we can take away that persons ability to write anything ever again.
- GawtMilk, on 01/10/2009, -0/+4I think the "BBQ" could come from the Simpsons episode, where Homer hosts a "BBBQ"
"Come to Homer's BBBQ. The extra 'B' is for 'BYOBB'"
"What's THAT extra 'B' for?"
"That's a typo." - Niallgriff, on 01/10/2009, -1/+5Your comment was full of fail. Annoying people FTW!
- borez, on 01/10/2009, -0/+4This has nothing to do with web 2.0
- inactive, on 01/09/2009, -0/+4NO
YOU WILL NOT DO THAT
NOT ON MY WATCH - miken32, on 01/10/2009, -1/+5buried for "web 2.0"

- Musicmonkey34, on 01/10/2009, -0/+3step one: put a fail in a box.
- Totz83, on 01/10/2009, -0/+3Actually it was Tim O'Reilly and it's in the article, which I presumed people had read.
http://www.oreillynet.com/pub/a/oreilly/tim/news/2 ... - palmer, on 01/10/2009, -0/+3"'Duckrolling' had nothing to do with Rick Astley."
They didn't say it did. Read the article. -
