- sjbdallas, on 10/18/2008, -2/+49I prefer to steal panties AFTER they've been worn.
- granolajoe, on 10/17/2008, -2/+45Come on...you know it'd be hard for *anyone* to concentrate when working at a Victoria's secret store.
- teamgwho, on 10/17/2008, -5/+37They charge $50 for a bra. **A bra** If you ask me, their customers were the ones getting fleeced up till now, so turnabouts fair play.
- sockpuppets, on 10/18/2008, -0/+27Dad?
- sockpuppets, on 10/18/2008, -0/+26Turn yourself in. It's for the breast.
- bixby1, on 10/17/2008, -1/+25They'll never catch me.
- BeShirtHappy, on 10/17/2008, -0/+24See I assumed before reading the story that women were stealing them (maybe going in braless and leaving with one on). I didn't think about men doing it. Big money for bras in the black market, I guess.
- macmonkey, on 10/18/2008, -0/+21My girlfriend claims that the $50 bra is "money well spent" so who's to say that they are overpriced? They look great and according to a lot of women they feel great. I pay $75-$100 for tennis shoes and get about the same mileage out of a pair that you would a bra. What's the difference?
- sockpuppets, on 10/18/2008, -0/+21It appears that you're not wearing one in your photo.
I'm sockpuppets and I approve this message. - inactive, on 10/19/2008, -0/+16Cheap bras pull out my chest hair.
- jotux, on 10/19/2008, -1/+17That's the funniest comment I've read, in recent mammary.
- bieber, on 10/18/2008, -0/+16You can download bras now? WTF?
- inactive, on 10/18/2008, -0/+14They're pretty expensive.
- caitymac, on 10/19/2008, -0/+12VS bras are by far the most comfortable, and they're pretty well made too. Guys don't realize that a crap bra can leave you with a lot of discomfort and back pain. So, yeah, I'll pay $50 to not have back pain at the end of the day. Not to mention they're damn sexy!
- linagee, on 10/19/2008, -4/+15"What's the difference?"
Shoes go on the feet. - inactive, on 10/19/2008, -0/+10Get a gf and you will see difference between $50 and $15 bras
- yacks, on 10/19/2008, -0/+10here you go
http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm129/tux96/bra ... - teamgwho, on 10/18/2008, -2/+10Every one of us is willing to spend a lot of money on things that other people wouldn't. And we're completely cheap on things that other people aren't. I get that. Bra's aren't a luxury, women need them. Most women have anywhere from 4-10 bra's, depending on their needs (strapless, black, white, whatever) not to mention the ones for making sexy. Buying one or two bras there, maybe, but that's the problem, they don't really sell any bras for less then $40.
And most women I know think bra's are insanely expensive. - crossmr, on 10/19/2008, -1/+9That depends on whether or not she's an A or a D.
- bullox, on 10/18/2008, -2/+9You'd probably freak out at the Roberto Cavalli store here in Vegas. The cheap sandals are $800.
- AlienMushroom, on 10/19/2008, -0/+6 But they only cost VS $110.
- jordantneff, on 10/19/2008, -0/+6I read this and thought of the term five finger discount... and now it has me thinking dirty, dirty things
- pavanb500, on 10/19/2008, -1/+7Spoken like someone whose girlfriend's first name is Flesh and last name is Light
- linagee, on 10/19/2008, -1/+71 - $11,000 bra stolen.
- willwillywilson, on 10/18/2008, -4/+9Fancy lingerie is pointless. That thing is coming off after 2 seconds and after 3 minutes the guy is going to be asleep anyways.
- Matt88, on 10/19/2008, -0/+5The bras are probably made for 50 cent each by exploited workers in a third world country.
The sad fact is that they will probably say that they have to increase their prices to cover the thefts. - haydesigner, on 10/19/2008, -1/+6@sockpuppets: "It appears that you're not wearing one in your photo."
Methinks FlankedOut's profile views just went up exponentially (yeah, I looked. And yeah, she's smokin'). - bullox, on 10/19/2008, -0/+5Problem with that is thieves don't steal the cheapest stuff. If you were going to risk getting caught, would you steal the cheapest thing possible?
- brendanryder, on 10/19/2008, -0/+5http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?from=R40& ...
- MissCellania, on 10/19/2008, -0/+5Bras are expensive, but a $50 bra will last ten times longer than a $10 bra. And look better, too.
- caitymac, on 10/19/2008, -0/+5They steal the bras and return them a few at a time. With tags and no receipt, swearing they paid cash. Maybe they get their girlfriend to do the returning to make it seem more legit.
This is a standard operation in retail theft. - madc0w, on 10/19/2008, -0/+5Haha I live right near the mall they're talking about, I go all the time.
- thespanielator, on 10/19/2008, -0/+5disgraceful, that's $24 per breast or roughly $15 per pound.
- purplesawdust, on 10/18/2008, -3/+7The cheapest bra at Victoria's Secret is about $38. If you divide that by $11,000 then 289 bras would have been stolen that week.
- crossmr, on 10/19/2008, -0/+4"Even faster thefts have taken place recently. On Oct. 7 a man grabbed 13 bras"
Really.. are you saying its faster to steal 13 bras instead of 231 bras? Holy *****.
Stop the presses. Quality journalism folks. - Jger, on 10/19/2008, -0/+4I would just like to reassert that hot bras are being sold on the black lingerie market...
- RealmDown, on 10/18/2008, -2/+6I know that I keep stealing glances.
- Myztry, on 10/19/2008, -2/+6The $11,000 is not the amount lost by any means.
Retail items are like shares. They don't gain/lose their value until their are sold.
Replacement of the stock at wholesale will be a fraction of that amount.
The theft will have have negligible impact of sales turnover as their customers are not the black market buyers.
Indeed the free advertising from the event will help put the brand back in peoples minds.
It would take a hand full of resulting full retails sales to recoup and even surpass the cost of the theft.
So spare the tears. Corporate has a lesson to learn from. Business goes on. - inactive, on 10/18/2008, -2/+5You didn't know that? Yeah, after you download em you just print them out.
- IIECONII, on 10/19/2008, -0/+3If I worked there, I would be the complete opposite of lax.
Engorged? - ZippyV, on 10/19/2008, -0/+3I think I found the stolen bra's.
- neutronphaser, on 10/19/2008, -0/+3And relax.
- sooska, on 10/19/2008, -0/+3This is my fantasy....I've always wanted to rip-off Victoria's Secret bras!!
- themande, on 10/19/2008, -1/+4I used to work at the Galleria store they mentioned; two of my old managers work at the Westchester. It's no surprise at all so much was stolen. We used to have people steal entire tables full of panties because people weren't paying attention.
- pjsk8, on 10/19/2008, -0/+3I'd digg you twice (one for your profile pic, as well as the comment) if I could.
- lisaawesome, on 10/19/2008, -0/+2A good bra is essential. Unfortunately the cheaper ones usually don't cut it. And please stack3r enlighten us with more of your bra wisdom because you know we ladies only wear them every goddamn day for the majority of our lives and have no idea what we are talking about.
- ReignInMud, on 10/19/2008, -0/+2Most retail mall stores security is lax. As if employees who isn't trained in lost prevention is allowed to stop anyone, period. Most places in the mall policy for LP is provide "excellent customer service".
- kbir007, on 10/19/2008, -0/+2Pics or it didn't happen.
- cl2yp71c, on 10/19/2008, -1/+3$768 for 16 bras is a crime in itself.
- benroy, on 10/19/2008, -1/+3Boobs are best when they're outside of a bra.
