- sm0ky, on 10/30/2007, -202/+391RIGHT ON!!!
I would have done it also. - mot576, on 10/30/2007, -90/+236I voted for bush twice and it now makes me sick to my stomach. (gore & Kerry would have done the same thing too since they all work for the same masters ) We are under attack from within. I feel sorry for the innocent Hispanic Americans who have no part in this travesty going on. All of the Hispanic Americans I know are super cool people. Please don't hold them responsible. They are being used by this fascist government.

- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -170/+300This guy is my hero.
- pintomp3, on 10/10/2007, -23/+108the native americans must have had the same sentiments.
- satanatnmtedu, on 10/10/2007, -36/+108And, you should respect US law to live with the consequences of your act.
- Error601, on 10/15/2007, -73/+145Well, it is vandalism. Seeing something illegal doesn't give you the green flag (pun intended) to commit another crime.
- pintomp3, on 10/10/2007, -10/+76i bet the native americans wished they reacted the same way to invasion.
- needau, on 10/10/2007, -103/+164We're being invaded now. The war for this country has been going on with the destruction of our sovereignty. Get on board. You won't have a country to defend when we are put into a North American Union and our Bill of Rights are taken away totally.
- rnwen2750, on 10/10/2007, -24/+79So you condone taking someone's life because they expressed themselves?
- Ajajadude, on 10/10/2007, -57/+109Well, the fact that they were flying it above the America flag means a hell of a lot.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -35/+85Whatever...watch any home improvement show in the US. Flip this house, property ladder, etc.. All of the labour is Mexican. You see 15 people landscaping for $400. You americans all complain about mexicans, but you dont hesitate to take advantage of their labour.
- BelXul, on 10/10/2007, -25/+73It's not the fact that a Mexican flag was flown, but that it was 1) not only flown on the same flagpole as the American flag, but 2) that it was flown above it. This is against the law on both counts.
- epipha44, on 10/10/2007, -22/+69Destroy your right-left paradigm,bro. The right is just as vile.
- wilburbonzo, on 10/10/2007, -41/+85Down with the New World Order!
- satanatnmtedu, on 10/10/2007, -24/+67Do you mean the sheeple that prefer the rule of law where you don't damage another man's property? Or, do you mean the sheeple that talk to the owner about how the US flag should not be flown under another flag on US soil? Or, do you mean the sheeple that show respect for other people and do not commit vigilante type acts?
- Albionshores, on 10/10/2007, -11/+51The Queen of England called. She say you was direspecting her language. You're lucky shes a lady or you'd have tongue ripped out or fingers broken.
One man's pride is another man's faux pas. A little understanding and patience goes a long way :) - satanatnmtedu, on 10/10/2007, -13/+52It has nothing to do with immigration. It has everything to do with respect for law. The vet in question destroyed someone else's property; yet, people are rushing to defend the guy. If you want the immigration laws to be enforced, then why don't you want the laws this guy broke enforced. If you are for the rule of law, then you would see the irony. If not, then you are just a blowhard.
- jsd8cc, on 10/10/2007, -2/+39Incidentally, the "caps lock" key is the one to the left of the "A" key.
- MrGrinchstick, on 10/10/2007, -166/+202That bastard knew he was disrespecting when he put that flag up!
Hes lucky people are so civil or he'd be burned out. - Hamsterpotpies, on 10/10/2007, -18/+53What the ***** are we coming to? Its just a ***** flag!
- BelXul, on 10/10/2007, -15/+50Title 4, United States Code, Chapter 1, Section 3,
(c) "No other flag or pennant should be placed above or, if on the same level, to the right of the flag of the United States of America, except during church services conducted by naval chaplains at sea, when the church pennant may be flown above the flag during church services for the personnel of the Navy."
(f) "When flags of States, cities, or localities, or pennants of societies are flown on the same halyard with the flag of the United States, the latter should always be at the peak. When the flags are flown from adjacent staffs, the flag of the United States should be hoisted first and lowered last. No such flag or pennant may be placed above the flag of the United States or to the United States flag's right."
Section 8
"No person shall display the flag of the United Nations or any other national or international flag equal, above, or in a position of superior prominence or honor to, or in place of, the flag of the United States at any place within the United States or any Territory or possession thereof; Provided, That nothing in this section shall make unlawful the continuance of the practice heretofore followed of displaying the flag of the United Nations in a position of superior prominence or honor, and other national flags in positions of equal prominence or honor, with that of the flag of the United States at the headquarters of the United Nations." - mage1129, on 10/10/2007, -9/+44The power of citizen's arrest does not allow someone to destroy someone's property. If he truly wanted a citzen's arrest he should have arrested the store owner then contacted the police to complete the arrest.
- rnwen2750, on 10/12/2007, -17/+50When will you guys learn? Citizens arrest does NOT exist as a viable, legal option in the US.
- jarjarjanks, on 10/10/2007, -17/+48looks like the racists are coming out of the woodwork on this one.
- AriaStar, on 10/10/2007, -9/+40Since when has it been the law that private businesses MUST fly the US flag above any other? For government buildings, well, that's one thing. But a private business? This is supposed to be a free country. As long as the person who put up the flag isn't out vandalizing or killing people, who cares? That veteran just did the U.S. a big disservice by making it look like all Americans will be intolerant of others. If he were to move to Mexico, you bet he'd be flying an American flag above a Mexican, presuming he chose to fly a Mexican flag. The store owner has the same right.
"I am not going to see this done to my country. if they want to fight us, then they need to be men, and they need to come and fight us, but I want somebody to fight me for this flag. They're not going to get it back."
And hell, the veteran committed vandalism on top of it. - umdmatto, on 10/10/2007, -69/+100I'm a registered Democrat who is pro immigration and I can't think of a single bad thing to say about what that Vet did.
- zip22, on 10/10/2007, -5/+36"The Flag Code (see below) is intended as a guide to be followed on a purely voluntary basis to insure proper respect for the flag."
http://www.ushistory.org/betsy/flagetiq.html
yes, the person was not properly respecting the flag, but that does not make the veteran's actions legal. you can't walk around taking people's flag shirts off their backs or prosecute the president for standing on a flag rug. there are many many things people do with flags that don't follow the code. - RollFizzlebeef, on 10/10/2007, -4/+34I'm like George Carlin; I leave symbols to the symbol-minded.
- RogerStrong, on 10/10/2007, -8/+38American law does not such thing. It was even established a few years ago that burning the flag is allowed. Vile, yes, but legal.
And even if flying the Mexican flag above the American one were illegal, that's what police are for. - friedcalamari, on 10/10/2007, -3/+32Do you know what’s the real WTF in this story? Both flags were made in China.
- m0tbaillie, on 10/10/2007, -3/+32Statistically, over half of the people you see at sporting events don't even know the National Anthem in its entirety.
- mage1129, on 10/10/2007, -7/+36Technically this person is a criminal if he is breaking a law. To protect and serve does not and should not and cannot just be the apprehension of criminals.
- Cryptocracy, on 08/17/2008, -42/+71this country is going down the tubes and its because the NEOCONS who think BUSH is a Patriot???? you gotta be kidding!!! him and his Council on Foreign Relations buddies are hell bent on trashing the constitution! Vote Ron Paul he is a REAL PATRIOT!
- 741776marketst, on 10/10/2007, -40/+68the republic will prevail
- DreKor, on 10/10/2007, -5/+32A few things come to mind after reading the rest of these posts. The first being that caps-lock is cruise control for awesome. The second being that I'm clearly in the minority when I say that I'm not afraid of Mexico.
- jsd8cc, on 10/10/2007, -8/+34I have many Ally McBeal fantasies also, but they involve less flag burning and more Lucy Liu.
- smashthestate, on 10/10/2007, -14/+39That's because it's not a matter of being "pro immigration," it's a matter of being "anti ILLEGAL immigration". Immigration is a concept that is vastly different from illegal immigration. Notice how the media is a afraid to use the "illegal" adjective these days? They've done virtually the same thing in refusing to refer to Communist China as anything other than simply China. Don't buy into their rhetorical manipulation. All together now: ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION MUST BE STOPPED AT ONCE.
- CannedMango, on 10/10/2007, -12/+35He was *lucky* that he didn't get burned out?
What friggin' country are you talking about? America or China? - swrostmore, on 10/10/2007, -2/+25In Nevada it is illegal to "speak evilly" or contemptuously of the flag.
- Herostratus, on 10/10/2007, -104/+127Long live the True Patriot. A dying breed coming back in full force. Recruiting is becoming a lot easier.
- nblsavage, on 10/10/2007, -14/+36*whew* there is a lot of concentrated crazy in this thread.
- rnwen2750, on 10/10/2007, -8/+29I do stand up for myself by using my words. What sort of regression have you boys on this thread undergone? Resorting to mob rule? Who gets to decide which rules are broken?
- Albionshores, on 10/10/2007, -10/+31What's that little Jimmy? You say your sister Katie his drowning in Yate's pond over yonder. Sorry no, I can't help you I'm a police officer. I'm only here to catch criminals, PERIOD. You obviously don't understand what 'period' means. Now if your sister was in the process of committing a crime....
Of course police officers have other roles. Prevention? Security? Civic duties? And yes, social mediation. - mandarin, on 10/10/2007, -1/+21There goes my pirate flag....
- smashthestate, on 10/10/2007, -9/+29Welcome to the war on the New World Order, friend. We're all glad you woke up.
- sleepwalkers, on 10/10/2007, -9/+28Yeah, too bad our ancestors are the ones who immigrated to this country in the first place and nearly wiped out the native population.
If it happens again, I hope whoever it is shows that same attitude towards you. - djbelieve, on 10/10/2007, -7/+25Well then...do the right thing and boycott all goods and services that are provided by illegal immigrant labor. Good luck with that one.
Seriously, all these people who condemn illegal immigrants and illegal immigrant labor need to stop being hypocrites. How can you go around pointing fingers when you directly benefit from illegal immigrant labor? Until you are willing to boycott, you are just as much part of the problem. -
