its a transparent bug and the lighting gives the bug an illuminating blue color
/check the movement...it is most definitely insect like - Skepsis, on 11/15/2007, -7/+222Its a man in a cloud costume.
- kinseyincanada, on 11/15/2007, -5/+184a ninja wearing blue?
- jsd8cc, on 11/15/2007, -2/+143It's just the OPEC fairy...bestowing upon us higher gas prices and a lifetime of overpriced snack foods.
- SoupsMan, on 11/15/2007, -4/+145Obviously it was a hyperintelligent shade of blue.
- mklopez, on 11/15/2007, -9/+137On related news, Stephen King was seeing today reading digg posts and taking notes
- thebellmaster1x, on 11/15/2007, -7/+119THIS JUST IN: Flies, when on camera lenses, appear blurry. STORY AT 11.
- deaconyermouf, on 11/15/2007, -5/+106Not Unexplained. It's clearly the Lost smoke monster, in blue form. Buried as lame.
Freaking DHARMA... - theNazz, on 11/15/2007, -9/+98"There was an angel here."
Sure was Cleatus! - GuacamoleSan, on 11/15/2007, -9/+93How the ***** could this have been a bag?
- inactive, on 11/14/2007, -2/+78I WANT TO BELIEVE
- RollFizzlebeef, on 11/15/2007, -2/+77Smurf farts are magical!
- reed311, on 11/15/2007, -4/+71It's a weather balloon.
- MindTrigger, on 11/15/2007, -4/+65Looks like a bug or something on the camera lens. The camera was focused on the cars and people below, so the bug on the lens was naturally out of focus. The blue color is a trip, but it sure moves like a bug, IMO.
- TheNatMan, on 11/15/2007, -3/+62It's Ghostwriter! And he's got a clue! If only our team of artificially multicultural experts were at that gas station, we could have solved that mystery!
http://youtube.com/watch?v=0jRPRs1jiKE - badjoke, on 11/15/2007, -7/+66...Science?...It's an angel!
- 68024, on 11/15/2007, -36/+89Gotta be fake. The story makes no mention of anyone seeing it besides on the video. In addition, the person in the video acts as if it's not there.
- badave, on 11/14/2007, -9/+60Actually, I farted... I had eaten a smurf earlier in the day. Sorry if it scared anybody.
- TheWestExit, on 11/14/2007, -4/+54Kucinich saw a object in the sky and couldn't identify it, thus a UFO. No mention of aliens or the crazies.
- turnthepage, on 11/14/2007, -6/+53Swing away Merrill. Merrill... swing away.
- thebellmaster1x, on 11/14/2007, -1/+47Way to spot the difference between "Hey, look, an alien" and "Hey, I don't know what that is so I'll refer to it by a term that literally refers to a flying thing that I do not recognize."
- Dreww40, on 11/15/2007, -1/+44Interesting ploy to get people to come to your gas station. "While your here waiting for the blue ghost/angel to appear, why don't u fill up the tank?"
- Treshnell, on 11/14/2007, -1/+44Very true. The person in the video appeared to have no awareness of the UFO being there, and the article, while it at first appears to suggest that people saw it, when reread carefully never actually says anyone saw it directly. The store owner was the only one the article actually says saw it, and it's likely he saw it through the camera. Also, while the article says it's seen flying around people and landing on a car, the video itself looks as if the object is very close to the lens, and is blurry because it's out of focus.
- stonedgeek, on 11/14/2007, -4/+43Before I watch this, is it one of those videos where you're looking hard for the ghost for 30 seconds before some douche in a monster mask jumps in front of the camera?
I've been fooled by that many times - N256, on 11/15/2007, -6/+44Can someone explain to me how this got on the front page?
- Hickeroar, on 11/14/2007, -1/+35After getting the vid to work, it's definitely a bug on the lens... Chances are the people at the gas station just wanted to make a big deal out of it.
- Somniis, on 11/15/2007, -4/+37It moves like a fly. Ghost? No, just stupid people wanting to get on the news.
- Phasmorphage, on 11/14/2007, -1/+33Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus
- chrisbarr, on 11/15/2007, -1/+30if this is true, he failed at being a ninja. He was SEEN!
- Kallius, on 11/15/2007, -3/+31It's the Vengeful Spirit of Global Warming prophetizing doom to SUV owners.
- dinostabOMG, on 11/14/2007, -0/+23No, but you're reading a comment that seems to be rolling along fine, a typical digg comment, nothing remarkable when all of a sudden
BOO!!!! - capiCrimm, on 11/15/2007, -2/+24"witness was then devoured by blue cloud"
- SquigglyP, on 11/14/2007, -0/+21only seen on video. Not by the naked eye.
remember, they didn't have video feeds back in feudal japan. - mathmanjeffy, on 11/14/2007, -3/+23It's English, jackasses. If he were failing Engrish, he'd be getting everything right.
- bjhath, on 11/14/2007, -5/+24In news today, YOU'RE failing at engrish as well.
- pernicat, on 11/14/2007, -1/+20Reminds me of the Santa Fe Courthouse ghost, also a bug.
- Shorties, on 11/14/2007, -2/+21So does that mean 6 more weeks of winter?
- banmaster, on 11/15/2007, -2/+21I recently set up the video surveillance system for a local car wash and a week after the cameras had been installed we saw exactly the same thing caused by a spidersitting across the lens.
- spoonboy, on 11/15/2007, -1/+19Someone submitted it, it got dugg, so... here it is, on the front page.
- ShrimpCrackers, on 11/14/2007, -0/+16Yes it could just be a blue insect on the camera lens. Even moves like one.
- Caislean, on 11/15/2007, -0/+16It is obvious. It is a Hooloovoo (a super intelligent shade of the colour blue)
I can't believe no one else had posted a Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy reference. - xcornbreadx, on 11/15/2007, -0/+13LOL! I forgot all about Ghostwriter! What, the show got cancelled so he's robbing gas stations now?
- fleury29, on 11/14/2007, -0/+12It looks like a bug. I have never seen a blue bug, but just look how it moves. It seems that the top of the object always moves "forward" in relation to the rest of the object. And at no point does it "get behind an object." Just something on the lens, it must have been a slow week in the news for that to make headlines.
- SquigglyP, on 11/15/2007, -9/+21No, chances are that people so desperately want to believe that there is an afterlife, Heaven, etc that the bug on teh lens is an angel and the interesting pattern of light reflected off a window is the virgin mary. The face on the burnt cheese sandwich is also the virgin mary. The clods look like Jesus. Etc Etc. People are ***** retarded. That's why ***** like this gets prime-time coverage, but no one gives a ***** how many times they've cured cancer in Korea, or how many innocent civilians get their brains blown out by our troops in Iraq, the genocide going on in various countries. You don't see that ***** making front page news or getting prime-time coverage. But the angel in the gas station video, that's ***** newsworthy. I bet their next story was about a dog that can walk on it's front feet and bark the words "I love you"
- aussieNickuss, on 11/14/2007, -3/+15DId people actually see it, or was it just on the security tape?
- greebowarrior, on 11/14/2007, -0/+11i really would digg you up for that, but you're at +42, and i don't want to ruin it
- Legato, on 11/14/2007, -0/+10its the Laughing Man
