- xerus, on 10/11/2007, -6/+11Somewhere out there, something is watching us. There are alien forces acting in ways we can't percieve. Are we alone in the universe? Impossible when you consider the wonders that exist all around us. Voodoo preists of Haiti, the Tibetian numerologists of Appalachia, the unsolved mysteries of... unsolved mysteries.
The truth is out there. - FrozenGonad, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Isn't this the same story as the one published by American correspondents in Australia and linked by digg already? The story is told by a different author, but it's the same story. Maybe I'm new to digg and don't quite get it, but I'm burying this as duplicate...
- curios, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Here's a well explained article about quantum research on detecting things without the thing being measured having any idea that it is happening whatsoever, no matter how sophisticated the detectors the thing being measured may have.

- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Thats what the 'bury as dupe' option is for. I just used it too.

- dmax801, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1My dad, Air Force colonel, was stationed at Roswell at that time. I was just a pup, but read about it later. We didn't get along enough for me to ask him if he knew much. Later, I read that the "bodies" had been transported to Wright Patterson AFB. Which is where he was transferred soon thereafter!!!... Before he died, I tried once to bring up the subject, and he dismissed it with the "that's bullsht" and hand wave that I grew to know so well. Still, as a teen, it was fun to read about Betty/Barney Frank and folks like that.
- phrstbrn, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0I'm no expert, but a good guess of what happened that day is the US military threw some Rangers out of an aircraft (doing some top secret experiment or testing) and they all died. Somebody found the wreckage, the military became embarrassed and covered it up, and the rest... is history.
Although I would like to believe that there are Aliens out there, or that they've found us, I'm not quite sure why anybody would try to cover it up. The former would make more sense. Are there any pictures of the aliens, or the wreckage that conclude that this was, in fact, aliens? Everything I've ever stumbled across about Roswell was either photoshoped, staged, or fake.
Oh well, it's fun to believe! - RickJS, on 10/11/2007, -3/+2If you truly believe there is nothing outside earth living, you are an idiot.
