- shifty2, on 10/23/2007, -2/+227It would be more impressive if it was a rainbow colored tornado shooting lightning bolts in many directions
- ChromaVita, on 10/23/2007, -9/+195I managed to capture 10 :)

- fishbert, on 10/23/2007, -5/+99or out of a photoshop project.
- blorc, on 10/23/2007, -10/+80I'm gonna have to be the skeptical one and call shenanigans on the legitimacy of this photo!
- markp93, on 10/23/2007, -0/+48'Tornado Lightning Rainbow' -- that's my new poorly-translated Chinese martial arts codename from now on.
- Sinistocrat, on 10/22/2007, -0/+37I managed to capture one ... with my bare hands.
- satanatnmtedu, on 10/22/2007, -2/+34There is no tornado in the center. It is just rain.
- saxmaster, on 10/18/2007, -0/+31It was 9 lightning strikes long.
- Ottergoose, on 10/19/2007, -5/+36Not actually a tornado... nice looking showcase of Photoshop skills though.
- PerfektXj, on 10/23/2007, -15/+43pizzler, this was on reddit an hour before you copied the image to your site and submitted with the same title and description as the original http://reddit.com/info/5ygt0/comments/ - you can just submit the original site next time
- inactive, on 10/19/2007, -21/+45i have AIDS
- Asianwaste, on 10/19/2007, -1/+25Hurry up and die before they think twice about finding a cure!
- pizzler, on 10/22/2007, -1/+21First, not my own website...and actually the pic came from some website (i can't fully remember the name) called 'Cool Pics' or "Best Pics' or something like that...and digg has the site blocked so that you can't submit pics from there...so I copied to a (ad) free website just so I could submit to digg.....
and plus why would I have some UK site when I live in the US? - DeskFlyer, on 10/18/2007, -0/+20It's not a tornado; it's a rain shaft.
- AriaStar, on 10/22/2007, -1/+21Smart-ass. :)
- Sinistocrat, on 10/18/2007, -0/+20That's actually what I was expecting. :(
- WhiteRaven, on 10/18/2007, -0/+15I think the photo is legitimate (aside from contrast and saturation tweaking). However, I don't think it's actually a tornado, just a distant cell of intense rain.
- Jennyd6, on 10/18/2007, -5/+18The lighting in the foreground is flat. To have a rainbow you have to have direct sunlight. There is none in this photo. Right? Sorry. I love the photo, but it isn't legit. ;-)
- techrex, on 10/18/2007, -5/+17Wow, looks like something out of a movie.
- dzorz, on 10/19/2007, -1/+13I like turtles.
- KrazyOne, on 10/18/2007, -0/+11Very cool. Could be a cool wallpaper if made bigger.
- geartype2, on 10/18/2007, -3/+14if you held a long exposure of a tornado it would just come out blurry. Lightning pictures are usually caught by numerous held exposures lasting no more than a few seconds. This picture is totally shopped.
- DJB31st, on 10/18/2007, -0/+10high res for wallpaper http://www.firegigs.com/pic/storm.php
- Anub1s, on 10/18/2007, -3/+13Great looking picture, but I really doubt it's real.
- Fracture98, on 10/18/2007, -0/+10Fantastic picture, but that's not a tornado. It's a cloudburst.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloudburst - chrisgnv, on 10/18/2007, -0/+9High res version.... please!
- prioret, on 10/18/2007, -0/+9Hmm a link would work better..
This is a lighting strike on or really near the Capitol that I got from my roof:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/prioret/180369955/ - CapeKid, on 10/18/2007, -1/+9Tornado Lightning Rainbow = awesome band name
- chuckyc130, on 10/18/2007, -3/+11is that you, chuck norris?
- burke, on 10/18/2007, -1/+8You mean Adobe® Photoshop® Software®.
- Shigglyboo, on 10/18/2007, -5/+12yeah I'm no naysayer or anything. but why would you only take one photo if this was in front of you? It's also super high def looking, so ideally this photographer had a nice camera, and by the looks of it a tripod. yet they only took one shot? it looks very much like a pic out of the landscapes section on Deviant Art.
it's nice looking n' all. but you guys have me paranoid now. I'm by nature very naive and gullible. who would have though those characteristics would be exploited by users of the internet? - psbpv3o, on 10/22/2007, -0/+7Fine. But only if you are aware of the punishment for false shenanigans. I hope you're prepared for the consequences.
- zeitgueist, on 10/18/2007, -0/+7That's some low resolution you're running on there.
- brainwash, on 10/18/2007, -0/+7Regardless of whether its real or not, I wish there were some higher res versions to set as wallpaper.
- DeskFlyer, on 10/18/2007, -0/+7Looks like a nice long exposure to me; no Photoshop needed.
- saintdesy, on 10/18/2007, -0/+6Too bad it isn't a larger picture. Would make a killer wallpaper.
- lewkus, on 10/18/2007, -0/+6where's the wallpaper sized one?
- orion846, on 10/18/2007, -1/+71440x900 please
- fishbert, on 10/18/2007, -0/+6I don't know... there's something funny going on with that horizon...
- SirDivineGod, on 10/18/2007, -0/+6all rainbows are double, but the outer rainbow isn't always visible due to less intense sunlight or some other interference
- vtbarrera, on 02/03/2009, -2/+8Look at the horizon. Can someone say photoshop?
- WhiteRaven, on 10/18/2007, -0/+6Yes, the sunlight is over the photographers right shoulder. While the photographer is standing in shadow there is obviously an opening in the cloud cover between the sun and storm. That is why the center of the photo is so bright.
- justconnor, on 10/18/2007, -4/+9Looks more like it has been enhanced using Adobe Photoshop© Software.
- TheInimitable, on 10/18/2007, -1/+6Really? HIS real?
- FeloniusMonkey, on 10/18/2007, -2/+7Sure... "photoshop".
- blindmonkey, on 10/18/2007, -2/+7They only took one shot because it's a lightning bolt. And it doesn't last forever.
- inactive, on 10/18/2007, -1/+6Brilliant!
- KoopaTroopa, on 10/18/2007, -0/+4along with a skull in the clouds
- inactive, on 10/18/2007, -0/+4And the pixels...
