Top Ten Signs You're a Fundamentalist Christian
evilbible.com — 10 - You vigorously deny the existence of thousands of gods claimed by other religions, but feel outraged when someone denies the existence of yours. 9 - You feel insulted and "dehumanized" when scientists say that people evolved from other life forms, but you have no problem with the Biblical claim that we were created from dirt.

- realclark, on 11/13/2007, -8/+7I didn't want to be the one to tell you all this, but remember when you found out that Santa Clause and the Toothfairy were not real......well religion isn't either....it is all a supernatural myth/fairytale. We had good intentions though.....we thought that telling you there was heaven and hell would force you to be a good person. Unfortunately the plan backfired and resulted in war and bloodshed.......
- AKBryant54, on 11/02/2007, -5/+4"well religion isn't either...."
religion certainly is real, but semantics aside: "I used to believe in Santa Claus and Jesus, until i realized they were both fairy tales made up to keep me in line" - I forget.

- diegoferreyra, on 11/02/2007, -9/+2I used to be in a social group that taught bible to kids. I am now an agnostic.
I will raise my kids in the crhistian faith. Why? On the side of all that fundamentalist crap (yes, any fundamentalist, no amtter what religion believes in CRAP) most christian schools teach values.
Most religions are a metaphor of the same.- AzBats, on 11/02/2007, -5/+3Are your "values" so poor that you need to send them to a christian school to find better ones? School is for many things, like learning how to think critically, but teaching "values" is a parental responsibility which should be backed up by the society the family is in. I say this as a father and an atheist.
- AzBats, on 11/02/2007, -6/+3@Sealab2021 - great find - I am now compelled to make evilbible stickers and put them on x-tian leaflets which littered around where I work ;)
- diegoferreyra, on 11/02/2007, -5/+5AzBats:
I would like to see you raise your kids with your great values in an enviroment with no values. I didn't say I sould leave values up to the school alone, moron. My mother is a school principal, so I do know how a school can be different from one another on a value teaching level.
Say, you encourage your kid to be honest, but in school they won't tell him not to steal, or even have teachers who say that it's ok to cheat as long as you don't get caught.
Good thing you are not my dad.- AzBats, on 11/02/2007, -7/+2If what you're saying is true then we'll all be living an a very anti-social environment because of all the millions of kids who have been through the public school system. See, parents are supposed to instill in them that stealing is wrong before they get to school age plus any teacher that says it's ok to cheat must be under a lot of pressure, from their superiors, to have their class do well at "the test".
And your anti-social ad-hominim proved your point very well I feel.

10. Reading lists like this don't make me angry, but they do make me sad for those who believe these things.
9. I've researched and read on the topics of the Bible, theology, world religions, philosophy, apologetics, humanism, atheism, ancient literature, etc. for 20+ years, and have yet to be convinced that the Bible is not what it says it is - the very Word of God.
8. I have yet to learn of any single individual who has done more to change this world than Jesus of Nazareth.
7. Through the years, the more I've read Scripture the more I understand - not unlike any other field of study that one might undertake.
6. I've seen hundreds of lives from several different nations and many different backgrounds transformed as a result of placing their faith in Jesus Christ.
5. Insults re: Christianity don't upset me, because I used to be one of those who made fun of born-again believers.
4. Even when circumstances get tough, I have peace knowing God is in control. He's always in control.
3. I'm willing to attempt to answer any sincere objection/question/comment re: the Bible, Christianity, Christ, etc.
2. I've known several individuals who have literally put their lives on the line in order to tell others about Jesus Christ.
1. I'm not holy, I'm not perfect, I'm not better than anyone else. But, when I understood that my sin separated me from the holy, righteous Heavenly Father, and that He loved me enough to send His Son, Jesus Christ, to pay the debt for my sin - a debt Jesus did not owe - I accepted that gift of forgiveness, and through no effort or act of my own, I became a child of God. - kokyprik, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0gaol

1. lock up or confine, in or as in a jail; "The suspects were imprisoned without trial"; "the murderer was incarcerated for the rest of his life" - KRFMRADIO, on 11/13/2007, -6/+0what a bunch of lies

- MunkeeBoy, on 11/13/2007, -1/+3Sad how almost all of these comments miss the point entirely and the ones that agreed with the post went down quicker than Monica Lewinski in the Oval Office. This submission should be entitled "How to identify Fundamentalist Christian's on Digg". I expect this comment to buried shortly as well...
