- spyd3rweb, on 12/03/2007, -4/+151) Any road with Michigan drivers on it...

http://www.darkroastedblend.com/2006/11/most-dange ... - nick415, on 12/03/2007, -1/+6I lived in La Paz, Bolivia for a year and a half when i was a kid. i took that road to the yungas once for a vacation. a kid who should have been in my class in school and his parents died after their van plunged off the side of the road. there are big trucks bringing crops (cough, coca, cough) up the road, and when you meet them and cant get around them, one of you backs up until there is room to pass. unbelievable. a family friend, Jean Jennings, prez and editor of Automobile magazine was considering visiting, but on the condition we didnt go anywhere near that road. ***** nuts. that was the scariest ***** i have ever done.
- Defcon79, on 12/03/2007, -0/+5Stelvio pass is not dangerous! It is in fact the greatest driving road in the world according to Top Gear - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMEON6bivZs !!
- Harbinger67, on 12/03/2007, -0/+4Apparently you suck at driving. 75 mph is hardly scary.
- UMDirector, on 12/03/2007, -0/+3haha I have that shirt...my wife almost got sick due to all the twists and turns. Did the whole drive in a torrential downpour too...that was scary.
- Harbinger67, on 12/03/2007, -1/+4Oh man how do you SURVIVE with all that power?!?! You must have one bitchin' 2001 v6 Mustang!
- Harbinger67, on 12/03/2007, -0/+3Hey ninefournine949, thanks for giving motorcyclists a bad name. The rest of us who aren't douchebags reeeeally appreciate it.
- awesomeface, on 12/03/2007, -0/+3Fiancee just actually biked down the road of death (in bolivia). These british guys will set you up with the equipment you need, and give ya some sort of memory cd with pics of your group.
Unfortunately they put crap music on there too. Gravity Bolivia or something like that is the company. - yhan, on 12/03/2007, -0/+2This one could be included: http://img408.imageshack.us/img408/9973/madeiraqc9 ...
Madeira island, Portugal - CornmealMush, on 12/03/2007, -0/+2Hah, we handle snow a lot better than most people in the country. Look at California when they get 2 inches, they have 100 car pile-ups.
- zantos420, on 12/03/2007, -0/+2how about by hands, tools, and people? really? you asked that question? wow.
- Jschluet, on 12/03/2007, -0/+2When I was in Maui, Hana was closed because some drunk guy told some tourists he was gonna "make" this jump. They then filmed him as he jumped 60 feet into a 3 feet deep pool. All he made was a pancake.
- jimmyjars, on 12/03/2007, -0/+2Not all cars weigh 3800lbs.

http://www.gypsyjournal.com/Member/ID634/images/73 ... - brstilson, on 12/03/2007, -1/+3You are aware that our freeway speed limit is 70, right?
- spyd3rweb, on 12/03/2007, -1/+3Do you have to wait a good 5 seconds before proceeding through an intersection to be sure no one is going to run the red light?
- xquizit, on 12/04/2007, -0/+1first to the bottom wins!
- kuyman, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1I was going to say with Photoshop, but by hand seems to work just as well. Maybe they were built from the trees they cleared off the land with, like they were for the last 70,000 years.
- miken32, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1I'd feel a lot safer on an elephant than in a car on most of those roads! At least an elephant isn't going to get much over 10 km/h!
- Zacko1337, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1Some of the roads in the latter episodes of Long Way Down looks pretty bad...
- inactive, on 12/04/2007, -0/+1***** that's nothing, we have millions of unlicensed, uninsured and unskilled economic insurgents on the road every day round here. Yet, the carnage is largely ignored.
- drastik21, on 12/03/2007, -2/+3We are a bunch of pussies now. To think that Hannibal crossed the Alps with a bunch of elephants.
- RoyalPwner, on 12/03/2007, -3/+42) Any road with massachusetts drivers on it...
- 808kick, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1I'd kill a man to drive on that road in a Porsche 911 or Aston Martin DBs
- Longstreets, on 12/04/2007, -0/+1For the record: The first set of pictures is Guoliang Tunnel Road in Hunan Province,China .It was carved by villagers using hand tools and can hardly be considered a dangerous road.
For quite some time the location of this road was a complete mystery until Lori M discovered similar pictures on flickr.

Here is another set of photos from the same area

Stremnaya road is a myth ! There is no such place that I am able to find. - adamsacres, on 12/09/2007, -0/+1I hate heights. I had a melt down half way up Pikes Peak but went the rest of the anyway. Don't have any desire to get on any of the roads pictured on your page.
- thomashauk, on 12/04/2007, -0/+1There's a road near me which is a single track road barely wide enough for two cars to pass and people do 60mph down it. Plus Buses and lorries use it without slowing down.
I'm surprised I still have my driver's side wingmirror... - onetimeuse, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1actually its almost 80-90 when you get near san diego. kinda weird. feels like people are eager to go south of the border or something.
- dagamer34, on 12/03/2007, -1/+2Michigan drivers average 75 on a 60. Honestly, I was scared the first time I drove on the highway.
- hockey, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1/puts on Battlestar Galactica hat
all of this has been posted before, and all of this will be posted again. . . . - skyteria, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1Yes you will. Digg wills it so!
- DietRitePure0, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1These are themselves quite dangerous, though my own personal dangerous road experiences took place in Geiranger, Norway.

Try to imagine that hair-pin turn on a full-length tour bus when the driver believes that 30 MPH is a logical speed to travel at. My life, and that of about 26 other people, flashed before my eyes. - GemStar38, on 12/03/2007, -4/+4I love that some of them are called "the road of death".
- carnage, on 12/03/2007, -3/+3you dont always need a vehicle to build stuff. get some ropes, some buckets and some hammers to drill into the rocks
- CompIsMyRx, on 12/03/2007, -1/+13) Any road with Wisconsin drivers on it...
- Rikushix, on 12/03/2007, -2/+2This picture of that Chinese hiking trail actually made my palms sweat a bit, and I'm by no means scared of heights.
http://www.winkk.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/12/mo ... - Davekcon, on 12/03/2007, -1/+1where are the rally cars?
- ConfusedONE, on 12/03/2007, -1/+1Apparently you haven't been on a California highway. Its 75-80 on a 65 MPH speed limit.
- wolvyne, on 12/03/2007, -2/+2alt mirror. Painfully slow but working.
http://www.winkk.com.nyud.net:8080/2007/12/03/top- ... - joshbert99, on 12/03/2007, -0/+0You can't lol yourself unless its funny.

- BlaenkDenum, on 12/03/2007, -1/+1It's not crappress, it's crapauthor for not running wp-super cache
- inactive, on 12/04/2007, -0/+0Yes in Romania you will find many dangeuros roads, in the heart of the mountains.
About the roads near Brasov: there are the best roads, only few small country roads are not very good.
I go very often in that part of Romania.
Thank you - superguysteve, on 12/03/2007, -3/+3How bout the Yellow Brick Road? Houses fall on you, Witches pop out and threaten to 'get you' flying monkeys grab your dog. Man, that's a tough commute.
- ricardo53, on 12/05/2007, -0/+0I think they used one of those switchback roads in a Mazda commercial. Zoom zoom zoom!
- krytz86, on 12/03/2007, -0/+0Some of the mountains around Brasov have obscenely bad roads.
- frazierhockey03, on 12/03/2007, -1/+1Don't lump us all together, but I agree. Every time it snows, no one remembers how to drive in it.
- ScienceDoc, on 12/03/2007, -2/+1These have all been on Digg Before...
