- Eeqmcsq, on 10/10/2007, -0/+33This one shows the entire weekend, showing the engineers tearing apart that section to them sliding the new section over.
http://www.nuspectra.com/SiteProxy/laborday07bay-bridge.mov - Vorow, on 10/10/2007, -0/+18Did it made the 'click' sound when it fell into the place? :O
- loganz, on 10/10/2007, -2/+12ca state site down.. lol wtf okthxbye
- dolemite5005, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10I love how there's a constant group of construction workers just standing around watching at any point in time in the video.
- toekneebullard, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9Needs Benny Hill Music.
- holygram, on 10/10/2007, -4/+13But still surprisingly easier than your sister.
- philomatic, on 02/08/2009, -1/+8Not as easy as a montage though
- WarpFox, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7we brought down the secretary of state website once
- Buckey1983, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7That's really awesome. Time-lapses make work seem so easy though
- zioxide, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6people digg it so they can go back to it later.
- briankoenig03, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6eh, it's their version of Digg. Everyone needs to chill every now and then.
- Lasereth, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Wow, I see a whole lot of standing around. Get to work.
BTW this was really cool. - gmc74, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6117 diggs and the site is down... gg ca.gov....
- thcobbs, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4No, that would be a "Ménage à trois".
- SkippyDoorknob, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Evacuate!!!!
- Otto, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Excellent vid. Here's a dotcache mirror of it, just in case that site can't handle it:
http://dotcache.com/http://www.nuspectra.com/SiteProxy/laborday07bay-bridge.mov
Also a mirror of the original site:
http://dotcache.com/http://www.mtc.ca.gov/news/info/movies/bay_bridge_video_9-07.htm - DiggzDE, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4This is cool. I was just there this last weekend visiting my sister. I actually complained about the construction on the bridge as well because no one knows how to drive up north and so it all got bottlenecked on the bridge.
- Unclickable, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4some other cool examples of timelapse http://yuxt.com/artist/Timelapse
- seattle98104, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Clearly, Michael Scott now has a Digg.com account.
- digggggggggg, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Also the signage here is crap. Especially East Bay.
Try missing an exit on 580 or 880. Chances are, you won't be able to take the next exit and go back because
1. The on-ramp for the other direction is in some obscure area, sometimes up to 10 streets over.
2. The signs are very sparse and hard to find. Moreover, when you do find a sign, there's a good chance you'll have no idea where it's pointing to.
3. Some intricate combination of the two. - phlanx, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I was wondering where my Cal tax dollars went. :P
- otakushark, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2"no one knows how to drive up north" Yeah, we say roughly the the same thing about the southern CA drivers.
- brjndr, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1They still finished 11 hours early. Was supposed to open 5am Tuesday, but opened 6pm Monday night.
- Gir53457, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1No, Most work goes on when the bureaucrats are drunk. They'll approve anything.
- amgamer23, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3Front paged and down :(
- Gir53457, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Unless you actually require the use of the bridge. I'm so sick of the BART.
- OakRidger, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Pretty damned cool.
- phlanx, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2it was just working 2 minute ago
- Mitch726, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1The url took me to a page that said they had reorganized and i would have to look for it. Maybe it's just me.
- Chakat, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1People have posted mirrors which still work.
- kearsey, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1does anyone know how one can automate this process say with a canon digital point and shoot and an ibook? I know there is remote image capture software, but is there something out there that lets you set intervals?
- Gir53457, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Way ahead of you. Idaho-Ho!
- RooDoG, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2How are people digging this when the site is down.. is it the fact that we brought down a government site?
- HappyScrappy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Yeah, especially with the gaggle of "supervisors" standing at the near end of the bridge. They just seem to be watching and doing nothing all night.
Nice work if you can get it. - Gir53457, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1*Supervisors*
Four years of trade school to drink on the job and get payed for it. - RooDoG, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I posted this before the Mirrors by about 10 minutes and before it was on the front page
- nataliej, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1There is. Try this: http://www.granitebaysoftware.com/
- kearsey, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Windows only. :( Any mac equivalents out there?
- rspeed, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Yeah, they're called supervisors. You do realize that there are people in charge, right?
- cbartlett, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2That is why god hath bestown Delicious upon us. I never Digg unless I've seen it and like it.
- Frostman3D, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1The main thing I noticed was all the people standing around not doing anything in the foreground.
- montulli, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0There is a remote shutter release attachment for the camera that includes an interval timer function. You just attach it and tell it to take a picture ever X minutes and it is fully automatic. The one for the 20d/30d/40d is $150. http://www.amazon.com/Canon-TC80N3-Remote-Control-Cameras/dp/B00009XVA3/ref=sr_1_8/002-8347362-9432827?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1190139547&sr=8-8
- edwartica, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0I thought it went towards Arnie's Hummer. :P
- c0n724ll10n, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0I love how people actually think this stuff, especially about CalTrans - as if they know more about construction methods. People forget that most work goes on during the night, too.
- thcobbs, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2What is this? "Not another teen movie" or somethin' ??
- zeusthemoose, on 10/10/2007, -5/+4google cache got it:

- seattle98104, on 10/10/2007, -4/+1I don't know why people are digging you down ... google cache DID get it.
- holygram, on 10/10/2007, -5/+2That's what she said.
O.o - manfrin, on 10/10/2007, -7/+3http://72.14.253.104/search?hs=sUq&hl=en&lr=&c2coff=1&q=cache%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.mtc.ca.gov%2Fnews%2Finfo%2Fmovies%2Fbay_bridge_video_9-07.htm&btnG=Search
