i could do the exact same thing with a picture, and just give the results in reverse! - firebirdstation, on 10/12/2007, -19/+846video or it didn't happen
- Vazelos, on 10/22/2007, -14/+518I'd still hit it somehow
- controltheweb, on 10/28/2007, -8/+502".. and you scrape the whipped cream off, revealing the woman underneath!"
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -15/+299So much for the saying "pics or it didn't happen"
- leetleo, on 10/12/2007, -28/+215There isn't a clear progression in this image. By 3.5 hours it looks like he just took a photo and colored over it with photoshop.
- Norminator, on 10/10/2007, -52/+219There is way too much detail for this person to have done it in that time frame. I mean create a person in 7 hours but the dress takes an additional 63 hours to complete? Noway.. FAKE
- KevenM, on 10/22/2007, -7/+147with your little crayon?
- sakuraz, on 10/10/2007, -9/+132and WTF is with the 7 hour - 70 hour LEAP
- MajorD, on 10/12/2007, -13/+124I would've made her ***** a LOT bigger.
- detales, on 10/10/2007, -39/+142If anybody even bothered to check out the site it came from, you'd understand that this is a form of art called SUPER-REALISM AIRBRUSH PAINTING.
Taken from the site:
" If you are interested in unleashing your true artistic potential, we offer 4-day hands-on workshops in Photorealistic painting. Our 1000 square foot facility near Raleigh, NC was constructed for the sole purpose of creating an optimal environment for art instruction. Led by Dru Blair, these intense courses are designed to accelerate your artistic capablities forward from 2 to 4 years in the matter of 4 days. We feature several different courses, from novice to master artist, each designed to fit your needs. "
It's called skill, ass. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -19/+115This is old!!!
- brenan999, on 10/20/2007, -67/+150hahaha, yes this no doubt IS a photograph. This isnt the first time ive seen this pic before. Its a fake.
- GawtMilk, on 10/10/2007, -2/+79Blonde *****? Ew. I prefer them hairless.
- Razster, on 10/10/2007, -28/+102They just used masking layers to make it look like they reversed this process - It is a Internet urban legend and it is FAKE!
- smokie766, on 10/10/2007, -16/+89simpson's did it
- corkdorkdan, on 10/10/2007, -5/+71The guy had to jerk off several times before he painted on the dress.
- AntBing, on 10/10/2007, -8/+71What happened in the hours between 7 and 70?
- KevenM, on 10/20/2007, -1/+60I'll take Revenge of the Nerds for $800 Alex
- Bridea, on 10/10/2007, -6/+65here's the long version, with narration that walks you through the process:

- mrASSMAN, on 10/20/2007, -6/+59It's a picture, but it's not a photograph. Yes, those words have different meanings.
- CaptUnderpants, on 10/10/2007, -13/+63The artist's name is Dru Blair, and I know him personally. He teaches several classes, including one on portraits. Yes, his work is fantastic. He's also the official artist of the U.S. Air Force. His military paintings are phenomenal, I have a few on my walls at home. He's also done a lot of Star Trek book covers and such.
- VinceNoir, on 10/10/2007, -15/+57I have no idea why you are getting diggs up from the cumguzzling morons here... But, it's not a photograph. It's airbrush work by a very talented artist. Why is that so hard for the talentless to fathom? Just because you can't do it doesn't mean no one can.
- Guitarhero10, on 10/10/2007, -5/+40http://drublair.com/
Artists Website. - themarq, on 10/10/2007, -4/+36I don't claim to be an expert but I am going to say this is real for one reason.
The picture shows the site drublair.com, which is the site of a well known and well established artist and teacher. If this picture was proven to be a photo or some other kind of fake, it would seriously harm his business and reputation as an instructor of super-realistic painting. - djphatjive, on 10/10/2007, -13/+45I can erase in reverse too!!!!!!!
- hammerpants, on 10/10/2007, -1/+32You rely on pictures for truth?
- z3rgRush, on 10/10/2007, -4/+35chemical analysis or it didn't happen
- stanton, on 10/10/2007, -5/+35There is actually a video to this somewhere... probably listed when this non-photograph was posted to Digg the first time around ;)
- swrostmore, on 10/10/2007, -6/+34This is real, the artist is well known as an extremely technical airbrush artist.
Full resolution is even more impressive -

- cardyology, on 10/10/2007, -1/+22"Thats my pie!"
- fatlip, on 10/10/2007, -5/+26erase in reverse? you mean draw?
- chyperbola, on 10/10/2007, -6/+27This is the guy's website. It's kindof slow atm: http://www.drublair.com/
Here's the part about this painting: http://www.drublair.com/comersus/store/tica.asp
He also loves aviation and techie realistic paintings, which is what he's more famous for: http://www.ozarkairfieldartworks.com/drublair.html - cyberoidx, on 10/10/2007, -2/+21There isn't a clear Progression in Digg. By 2 Months it looks like the same stories are being dugg again and again.
- ninfudo, on 10/10/2007, -3/+22video or it didn't happen
- lordthor, on 10/10/2007, -3/+21wow, you're kindof a douche.
- sanotaan, on 10/10/2007, -0/+17all kinds of minuscule details, whose presence you don't really notice (or you subconsciously do and might lead you to call "fake"), but whose absence you would notice
- noahhoward, on 10/10/2007, -10/+27Who are the army or retards who have dugg this comment up so high? He's wrong, the image is real, it's been proven.
- XStatic, on 10/10/2007, -2/+19From AirBrush magazine Dec 2006
http://airbrushworkshops.com/images/BIDEC06opt.jpg - Bridea, on 10/10/2007, -3/+19Wasn't there a time lapse video of this floating around somewhere?
- dr0psy, on 10/10/2007, -5/+21dont crap your pants, but http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer-generated_im ...
- mrASSMAN, on 10/20/2007, -18/+34No it's not. It's real. The guy is a super-photorealistic art professor. I've seen it before too.
- noahhoward, on 10/10/2007, -4/+19http://www.drublair.com/comersus/store/tica.asp
You are both wrong. - ersnyder, on 10/10/2007, -4/+19Wow, you are really passionate about this picture.
- bouche, on 10/10/2007, -4/+18pics of your walls please.
- djdragon, on 10/10/2007, -25/+39Not *****.
Get off your computer, get out of your mom's basement and go to your local hobby store and pick up the magazine that this was featured in.
Christ you people suck sometimes. - Crispin, on 10/10/2007, -15/+29This is actually an old story. He created a complete image using PS but used a reference photo as a guide, which is why it looks so much a photo. It's not fake.
- jhshukla, on 10/10/2007, -3/+17no. it's not the dress that takes 63 hours. it's the wrinkles. reminds me of 90/10 rule.
