There are no degrees in Kelvin, noob. - jayleb, on 10/10/2007, -7/+83iPhone FTW!

- dudefather, on 10/10/2007, -10/+74stomach's closed due to nitrogen
- shadeOgrey, on 10/10/2007, -0/+63It's molten lead, not molten rock. Lead has a pretty low melting point. Molten rock would royally ***** your hand up no matter how wet it was.
- stealth658, on 10/10/2007, -4/+65Madness? THIS IS SPARTA!!!
- CrocHunter, on 10/10/2007, -0/+59Deal.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXBuHGBzT-I - greenlight2001, on 10/10/2007, -2/+56If you put LN in your mouth, it better be a small enough amount that it ALL vaporizes IMMEDIATELY on contact with your tongue/mouth. A few drops at most. I've played with LN enough to know that you must respect it, or you will get burned hard core. This ***** will freeze anything with water in it.

- twertyto, on 10/10/2007, -0/+34So what's the story on the hand in molten lava? True or false?
- shempey, on 10/10/2007, -0/+34Digg really needs a picture section.
- trogdoor, on 10/10/2007, -4/+38Liquid nitrogen is less damaging.
- alphaterminus, on 10/10/2007, -0/+34I'll support your point. I'm a physician. I was in the office one night dictating and my 7-year old daughter was there with me, looking at ***** like snot and squished bugs in the microscope. She kept bugging me to do an "experiment" (I do my best to emulate Mr. Wizard for her at home by blowing ***** up.) So I got the liquid nitrogen, filled a diet Mountain Dew plastic bottle 1/2 up with it, capped it, and threw it down the hall. I put a surgical facial shield over her and made her stand 10 feet away. We stood there for 10 minutes and nothing happened. I thought about picking it up but realized it might be akin to picking a dud grenade up... "just say NO!" So I made her come back to my office with me and wouldn't let her out of my sight for fear her curiosity would get the best of her. About 20 minutes later we both heard the loudest explosion I've ever heard and walked out to find absolutely no trace of the bottle but the lid about 30 feet down the hall and what looked like green snow in about a 10 foot radius, with a few shards here and there, including some embedded in the false ceiling. It took an hour of vacuuming, a ladder to get the shards out of the ceiling, and a ***** load of explaining how I "knew what I was doing and she was safe the whole time" to her mother.
/I do realize some Nazi DFS worker will probably show up to my house 3 days after posting this, or I'll be charged with some Patriot Act violation, but it's something that at least taught her that "experiments can go wrong." - supernovasky, on 10/10/2007, -2/+35Are we really THIS jaded?
- ChuyMatt, on 10/10/2007, -1/+33of MOLTEN LEAD!
- pmace, on 10/10/2007, -1/+31I can't believe this story made the front page, digg sucks, I'm leaving.
