- lsloany, on 05/25/2009, -0/+71They just wanted to do some ambulance missions and make some extra money.
- inactive, on 05/25/2009, -1/+62What is wrong with people? I mean really. What in the hell were they thinking?
"No worries. No one will notice we just stole a freaking bus with lights and sirens and Identifiable Numbers on the side. Were good as gold." - gbudavid, on 05/25/2009, -0/+24I saw a Tweaker steal a street sweeper in Clackamas Oregon and drive it down the Freeway With two cops following. She ran it it into a ditch and went to jail. I don't believe that they "think" anything
- renanrrinaldi, on 05/25/2009, -0/+21I do that all the time on GTA.
- LuckyASN, on 05/25/2009, -0/+20This happened here in my county a while back. Some crackhead jacked a Basic rig for the drugs. Problem was Basic rigs don't carry meds (aside from epi and glucose). Good luck stealing one today though, they all have Automatic Vehicle Locators.
But yeah, these asshats need a swift boot up the arse. - flunky02038, on 05/25/2009, -1/+15999 is the UK number for emergency services - same as 911 in the US
- NoozeHound, on 05/25/2009, -0/+11 - and that extra 50% health bonus.
- inactive, on 05/25/2009, -0/+8We don't need insurance.
NHS brah - tehknotte, on 05/25/2009, -0/+7ugh this makes me sick. dirty *****, this is why we can't have nice things.
- anonymousmedic, on 05/25/2009, -0/+6Someone please put a boot in the ass of the people who did this.
- SoCalCove, on 05/25/2009, -0/+5The crime for this should also involve some sort of attempted homicide, stealing something that can actually save lives, should have more serious charges than just taking some normal suv or car.
- yizuman, on 05/25/2009, -0/+5I'd love to give these turds some serious beat down and deny them an ambulance, just to see how it feels like.
- tehknotte, on 05/25/2009, -0/+5they are probably not human. i consider these kinds of people subhuman.
- scriptcoder, on 05/25/2009, -0/+5Or if they were smart they wouldn't steal at all....
- santixx, on 05/25/2009, -0/+5But of course everybody knows it was replaced by 011 8 999 88911 9119 725 3
- 3rdDay, on 05/25/2009, -0/+4I work in a hospital. ***** the heartless, senseless bastards that do these things. People die when the don't get the care they need.
- Suzilla, on 05/25/2009, -1/+5"You moron! I didn't say stretcher ... I said I wanted a STRETCH limo!!!"
- FlareHeart, on 05/25/2009, -0/+3Next time these people need help, they should be denied an ambulance for the 10 minutes it took for the police to find the ambulance they stole. Maybe then they will realize what they did could have been life threatening. Stupid *****.
- Killeroid, on 05/25/2009, -0/+3The new british emergency number courtesy of The IT Crowd: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RK4Xye7AErE
- TheGreatZarquon, on 05/25/2009, -0/+3I wish I could have seen the look on their faces when they went outside and didn't see their ambulance there. Must have been a real "wtf" moment.
- absentmindedjwc, on 05/25/2009, -0/+3karma is *****... what comes around rarely goes around. That is just a submissive statement that people use when they dont care enough to do something about a problem.
- Ramble, on 05/25/2009, -0/+2Of course it does.
- 3rdDay, on 05/25/2009, -0/+2Some people have no sense of consequences, true. It's like they never learned it as a child. Had to google, btw;
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=twe ... - Whackly, on 05/25/2009, -0/+2If I were criminal minded and had designs on some serious crime an ambulance would be a pretty useful thing to have. It could be very useful in a clever getaway plan. A couple of EMTs responding to a bank robbery grab the robbers, now disguised as victims, and the four make a clean getaway under lights and sirens? I dunno. Seems like it could be handy somehow.
- inactive, on 05/25/2009, -1/+3If this happened in my city in Saudi Arabia, we would hunt these thieves and make them suffer the same fate.
- MargotCross, on 05/25/2009, -0/+2these people have to be the DUMBEST people on the planet. who steals the loudest brightest vehicle on the road?
- anarcurt, on 05/25/2009, -0/+2Police are seeking this man for questioning.
http://gtaiv.forumfree.net/?t=30239823 - jon30041, on 05/25/2009, -0/+2http://www.suntimes.com/news/24-7/1547637,w-stolen ...
Another ambulance theft. Not the one I mentioned, but still...
It does happen. It's uncommon, but it happens. - Zeos, on 05/25/2009, -0/+2Um, not if it's an ALS unit (And depending on local protocols of course) ....We've got plenty of good stuff in our locked boxes.
- OrangeTide, on 05/25/2009, -1/+3it's like 911, but takes longer to dial on a rotary phone.
- yizuman, on 05/25/2009, -0/+1Some people are born with no brains.
- jsynnott, on 05/25/2009, -1/+2Yep, your post is today's daily fail.
- HappyHourChris, on 05/26/2009, -0/+1"The theft was condemned by police and ambulance services."
When would they APPLAUD a theft? - longlivesquare, on 05/25/2009, -0/+1Did somebody just e-mail us about a fire?
- smemily, on 05/25/2009, -0/+1You're just describing the end of Bandits.
- tsotha, on 05/25/2009, -0/+1A joke, perhaps?
- flunky02038, on 05/25/2009, -3/+4Crazy enough they know 911 wont help in the UK.
Not sure if you are uninformed or ignorant, or maybe both. - The_Tate, on 05/25/2009, -0/+1"Did you reboot your computer? Yes, I'll wait."
- warsongs7, on 05/25/2009, -0/+1Unlimited stamina.
- Suzilla, on 05/25/2009, -0/+1I asked a lawyer friend ... civil matters, so not an expert in criminal law. Felony murder would indeed be an appropriate charge, along with several levels of reckless homicide/murder -- if the victim had died. Of course, this happened in the UK, so the definition of felony murder / reckless endangerment / reckless homicide might be very different there.
- PacGamer, on 05/25/2009, -3/+4What's a 999 call?
- Whackly, on 05/25/2009, -0/+1Really? I'll have to see that. Sucks that all the good crimes have been made into movies.
- diothar, on 05/25/2009, -0/+1Ambulances don't really carry any meds worth anything. They only carry the ones that will save a life in a pinch... such as glucose and maybe epinephrine... Not the fun ones- which are the ones that are worth something on the street. :)
- thomasuk, on 05/25/2009, -0/+1Seriously, when will the Daily Mail hire journalists that can spell and use basic grammar?
- Stuntaneous, on 05/25/2009, -0/+1its always been novel and fun in gta. doesnt quite translate into rl :0
- Suzilla, on 05/25/2009, -0/+1Interesting point. Maybe a lawyer, here, could tell us whether, in the event the person being treated did die, the thieves could be charged with felony homicide. Seems like there'd be grounds since they are driving a vehicle during the commission of a crime in which someone dies as a consequence.
- jon30041, on 05/25/2009, -0/+1On the far north side of Chicago, about a month ago, a private ambulance was stolen from behind a psychiatric nursing home, then driven through downtown Evanston. The guy smashed six parked cars with the thing. The crew that the rig belonged to got a new box ambulance.
I'm jealous. - ohreilly, on 05/26/2009, -0/+0I believe that was the point.
That, and with something like 112 (the pan-European one), a fault in the line could end up dialing the emergency services. Despite that I think 112 works on our networks now. - mupet0000, on 05/25/2009, -1/+1rofl!
