- Number23, on 06/04/2009, -1/+45Two men can keep a secret, if one of them is dead.
-Mark Twain - juankovo, on 06/04/2009, -15/+58Why Pentagon 9/11 but no WTC 9/11? http://www.ae911truth.org/ has some interesting stuff on it from a physics perspective.
In any case, Americans should ALWAYS question what their government tells them for the official story. It's intellectual sloth to let others (especially those with power) do your thinking for you. - subliminalurge, on 06/04/2009, -2/+42Conspiracy theorists crack me up in their willingness to believe anything that's put in front of them, as long as it paints the government in a bad light.
For example: I have a friend who believes, simultaneously, that the moon landing was faked, and also that when the astronauts were on the moon they saw alien bases and NASA is covering it up.
He honestly doesn't see the two beliefs as contradictory. - modernsavage, on 06/04/2009, -1/+40If I were involved in a massive cover up I would immediately publicize what actually happened as a conspiracy theory. Once something is labeled conspiracy theory, it's automatically dismissed by the general public as loony, then it's just easy sailing from there. It's the perfect conspiracy...
- duncan202, on 06/04/2009, -1/+34Which in some ways is the grandaddy of them all.
- LloydBentsen, on 06/04/2009, -2/+33What exactly is "the 9/11 conspiracy"? There are completely asinine theories out there like the no-plane theories, but there are also plausible theories like the conspiracy that certain people in the government allowed it to happen. Lumping them all together isn't really a fair thing to do.
- daivos, on 06/04/2009, -1/+29What a dumb picture for aluminum foil hats protecting you from mind control. They picked two Edmonton Oiler fans wearing Stanley Cup replicas. Idiot photo editors. That the best they could come up with?
- asgardshill, on 06/04/2009, -5/+31The "WMDs in Iraq" one is always good for a laugh.
- hydrodev, on 06/04/2009, -1/+26Why are most of the links to "read more" broken? I smell conspiracy!

Should have had that on there. - fuzzymuzzy, on 06/04/2009, -12/+34My boss's all believe in the 9/11 conspiracy... and they wonder why they still work at a supermarket
- Ciryon, on 06/04/2009, -1/+22No Kennedy assassination? Sooo it isn't a conspiracy theory anymore? :)
- mrzisme, on 06/04/2009, -12/+33When you take any theory and put the word "conspiracy" in front of it. No one wants to believe it, and they won't unless they've partaken in some of the research themselves.
The word conspiracy is like a voodoo / dangerous word. You know how teenagers in high school are mostly completely mindless and popularity contests actually mean something to them? The word 'conspiracy' is like the most unpopular kid in school, everyone gets away from it unless they happened to grow up as his neighbor and were somehow forced to know the real story.
The type of people who are the first to laugh at a conspiracy theory regardless of its plausibility, are the same people who were the first to laugh at the strange kid wearing the same ratty t-shirt every day to school. They feel obligated to be on the popular side of the fence at all times, and would rather have their balls in a blender than give a theory the time of day to hear out some the details before making judgment.
A lot of the conspiracy stories in this list are surprisingly plausible if you take the time to hear the whole story outside of the mainstream media's version of the story. - marmotjmarmot, on 06/04/2009, -2/+21You can’t truly appreciate Shakespeare until you’ve read it in the “original” Klingon.
- BohicaTwentyTwo, on 06/04/2009, -1/+20I love how some people think that the Pentagon is some sort of armed fortress with missile batteries and anti-aircraft guns and a battalion of ninjas in the basement protecting a boss with twin gatlin guns for hands.
- SmpleJohn, on 06/04/2009, -1/+19And.... he's your friend?
- kidego365, on 06/04/2009, -4/+22This article is pure disinformation propaganda!
- tgc1, on 06/04/2009, -6/+23Well you're talking about a nation of people who are too lazy to park their car and go into a restaurant to buy food that is made for them by someone else. Ie. They want drive thrus. So I mean *****, if most people are too lazy to get their own food, they sure as ***** are not going to do any research on any conspiracies.
It's easier for them to just call you a crazy fill-in-the-blank and carry on with their life of ignorance. - sleestakslayer, on 06/04/2009, -3/+19The Bermuda Triangle is not really a conspiracy theory, but rather unexplained phenomenon.
- slicksoul999, on 06/03/2009, -1/+17The moon landing is my favorite
- Bovorik, on 06/04/2009, -3/+18Conspiracy theories - as American as apple pie.

Here's a much better Top 10 list that has been voted on by a large conspiracy community. Much more research went in to this one, and it wasn't chosen by a single editor. Its all on 1 page. - danjal, on 06/04/2009, -1/+13Apollo Moon Landing

The Roswell cover up - inactive, on 06/04/2009, -1/+13@CrazedLeper:
I'm pretty sure most people know the government isn't truthful about everything, but some conspiracy theories are in the realm of complete absurdity. - snagglefoof, on 06/04/2009, -2/+14Well wait, he might not be contradicting himself. Maybe he believes that particular moon landing was faked, but another moon landing (a real one) happened where astronauts saw aliens.
- Opiate, on 06/04/2009, -6/+17Stop making sense, you might break the ball and chain.
- jbird32275, on 06/04/2009, -0/+10The guys wearing the real ones....you'll never get those cats on film.
- wigren, on 06/04/2009, -2/+12But once the facts are in the light, please shut up.

- artofwot, on 06/04/2009, -1/+10Mulder would be proud.
- dforty3, on 06/04/2009, -5/+14That's the whole point of classifying it as a conspiracy theory. It totally discredits any rational discussion about the obvious inconsistencies with the official story, which in itself is really is a conspiracy theory too. Not even the FBI is willing to list 9/11 on Osama's wanted page because they have no evidence to tie him to it. Even the frequent Osama videos are unconvincing to them. like the one where he is writing with his right hand when it is known that he is actually a lefty. Even if the 19 hijackers (the ones not still alive, that is) were truly involved in it, they were likely just patsies. It can't explain the controlled demolition characteristics of the destruction from that day. But to discuss these unanswered, unaddressed inconsistencies is just crazy talk. Crazy Talk I tell you. Pay no attention to the men behind the curtain.
- JustLoren, on 06/04/2009, -1/+10@CrazedLeper. Just because the only two options are "true" and "false" doesn't make it a 50/50 chance every time someone says something. l2statistic.
- inactive, on 06/04/2009, -2/+10Just keep your nutter conspiracies to yourself. Nobody cares if JFK was shot by a spy who spoke fluent russian and met mobsters in new orleans nighclubs and was shot before his trial by a man with terminal liver cancer. Nobody cares that "1963: On June 4th President John F. Kennedy (the 35th President of the United States 1961 – 1963) signs Executive Order 11110 which returned to the U.S. government the power to issue currency, without going through the Rothschild’s owned Federal Reserve.
Less than 6 months later on November 22nd , president Kennedy is assassinated by the Rothschild’s for the same reason as they assassinated President Abraham Lincoln in 1865, he wanted to print American money for the American people, as oppose to for the benefit of a money grabbing war mongering foreign elite.
This Executive Order 11110, is rescinded by President Lyndon Baines Johnson (the 36th President of the United States 1963 to 1969) on Air Force One from Dallas to Washington, the same day as President Kennedy was assassinated.
Another, and probably the primary, reason for Kennedy's assassination is however, the fact that he made it quite clear to Israeli Prime Minister, David Ben-Gurion, that under no circumstances would he agree to Israel becoming a nuclear state. The Israeli newspaper Ha'aretz on February 5, 1999, in a review of, Avner Cohen's book, "Israel and the Bomb," states the following,
"The murder of American President John F. Kennedy brought to an abrupt end the massive pressure being applied by the U.S. administration on the government of Israel to discontinue the nuclear program...The book implied that, had Kennedy remained alive, it is doubtful whether Israel would today have a nuclear option."
While we still have our freedom of speech and our last bastion of freedom of expression, the Internet, please spread these two links around on the Internet, wake people up before it's too late."
As pointed out in this video, JFK was desperately attempting to give America back its monetary system and free Americans from the stranglehold and tyranny of the Federal Reserve System. For this he paid the ultimate price: his life. - danthek54, on 06/04/2009, -0/+7dugg for wolfenstein 3d
- velveetaavenger, on 06/04/2009, -2/+9He was actually shot from the sewer across the street.
- inactive, on 06/04/2009, -2/+9Well you shouldn't abandon a friend just because he's paranoid schizophrenic.
- vbullinger, on 06/04/2009, -0/+7Judging by most of Mark Twain's quotes, he would actually be defined a "conspiracy theorist" by today's standards.
- dforty3, on 06/04/2009, -0/+7The funny thing is that Apple pie was invented in England.
- inactive, on 06/04/2009, -1/+8It's a conspiracy.
- purplepungo, on 06/04/2009, -1/+8Interesting how all the "click here" for more information links are 404s
- jackwk, on 06/04/2009, -0/+7This is why no one buys newspapers. Any unpaid blogger would have came up with a better researched list. Tin foil hats? Seriously?
- ripter, on 06/04/2009, -1/+7I used to go around telling everyone that was true, when I was 9.
Still It's one of my favorites. - aguynamedjoe36, on 06/04/2009, -3/+9Yeah, LBJ was behind that one. I am firmly convinced.
