- dunderballer, on 10/10/2007, -1/+26I don't think the location's proximity to North Korea is a coincidence.
- crapmatic, on 10/10/2007, -3/+23A Chinese submarine? I bet it starts leaking in 2 months, and by the time it breaks it won't be under warranty.
- Ajajadude, on 10/10/2007, -1/+19I'll make sure to steer clear of that area next time I'm out in my rowboat.
- borninda818, on 10/10/2007, -1/+18Hard to keep anything bigger than a blueprint secret with satellite imagery.
- DeeCafe, on 10/10/2007, -4/+20Doesnt China have a right to defend it self ?
The same right applies to every single country in the world! - Absalon, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13You sir have never had General Tsao's Orange Chicken!

google maps has higher res - jlhoben, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Bought with profits made from selling cheap manufactured goods to America.
- wonderchemist, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Take a look at the numbers killed in WWII, China has a right to be paranoid.
- Bingster, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5for the record, China's subs stay near to the shores, they hardly ever venture into deep occeans ... unlike US Subs which are all over the 7 seas.
- saggygrandma, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5for now..........
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3This was the same base in Raiders of the Lost Ark that the Nazi's were using. Obviously, the Chinese have taken it over.
- Urusai, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3North Korea? Tibet? Vietnam? I think they bite when they want to.
- Victorioso, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Dugg for the dry humor..."just in case you need to know..."
- benjpw, on 10/10/2007, -3/+5Actually its American corporations that are to blame for this one. When you give a factory 1 dollar per product and the product costs 2 dollars to make then your going to loose quality.
Quit with all the China bashing. - FallenHero, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Wow, damnyooneek, the bias and ignorance in your statement are overwhelming. Yeah, America has never sent soldiers to die pointless deaths, and we've always conducted ourselves with diplomancy. Iraq is going fine, and Vietnam was a victory- and both were totally warranted too.
- michaelzhao, on 10/10/2007, -6/+7To be honest, all the China bashing on digg is getting a little old...
If China's quality was really that *****, then I don't know why Airbus is planning to build their planes there (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airbus#International_manufacturing_presence) or why Apple manufactures all their iPods there (http://www.apple.com/hotnews/ipodreport/).
The fact is, that there may be a percentage of low quality, low standards, sometimes dangerous things that come out of China. But there are plenty of goods that also require precise engineering that come from China as well. - ParaRegSoldier, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Kim Jong-il?
- UnstableMind, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Guess you didn't read TFA? It's been in existence since April of 1981.
Oh and this lead ***** is our own administration wanting to reduce the trade deficit and encourage the purchasing of American goods, and that is ALL it is. - twinklyJesus, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Israeli isn't a race, its a culture comprised of many races. Just like being an American isn't your race. Chinese, however can be your race.
- twinklyJesus, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1America can efficiently and effectively eliminate wave after wave of people, risking minimal casualties, too. With this type of technology mass numbers don't count if your technology is inferior or maintenance/repair becomes a problem during the duration of the conflict.
- redbone, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Okay. I'll try not to lose my frisbee over their fence, then. Thanks.
- Victorioso, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2And unlike the russian subs, which have been spotted off the USA's West coast. One such sub malfunctioned and "sank".. (how do you say that about a submarine the right way ) and we helped them bring it up to the surface
- lenach, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0for now is right. This is a good one to know about.
- rootstyle, on 10/10/2007, -4/+4Defend itself against Taiwan and Tibet? They are fierce opponents I know.
- damnyooneek, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2China is a weaker country in some aspect but they have a ***** load more people than us. The communist government can send waves of people to die and in America we can't do that. We have rules of engagement to follow. Technically we can't just send soldiers as pawns knowing that they will die. I guess thats where they have the upper hand.
- hansk, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0id hit that
- ParaRegSoldier, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0in that case maybe its a solution to global warming. china do their more than fair share of polluting.
- Ziqing, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Unless they shoot down the satellite in orbit with ASAT
- subewl, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0On that GoogleMaps link, if you scroll up the shoreline a bit, you'll see a missile sub sitting in dry dock. I count about 12 missile tube hatches on the deck.
- joker1972, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2Nothing to see here move along (Said in Chinese accent)
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1and they still digg you down...
You get a Digg from me! - hansk, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0better dead than a red1
- Chip53, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Keep buying those Chinese products boy and girls, this is what they're doing with the cash.
- binorgog, on 08/07/2008, -5/+4Would you be that racist if it were made in Israel? Point is, I love the Hypocrisy in diggers, it's everywhere you look. Digg up hot girls, digg down comments from femails or gay men about hot men. Personal army for some, not your army for others. Bitching about the "picture" section ok, and praised, bitching about other diggers off limits. I really don't want a new comment section any more, I want new diggers.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2chinese military hacking digg in 3 2 1
- joker1972, on 10/10/2007, -2/+0Vietnam kicked China ass last time
- CatsAreGods, on 10/10/2007, -6/+3Probably made of lead and bad pet food anyway.
- davidsetagaya, on 10/10/2007, -7/+2probably the proximity to South Korea / Japan is more significant. What is there to bomb in North Korea?
- markwilcox, on 10/10/2007, -6/+0Secret
- FallenHero, on 10/10/2007, -6/+0Let me try to understand your logic here, livefr33. The bad experience you had with your McDonalds Happy Meal toy has given you the proper basis for assessment about China's weapons? Well then, allow me to draw the same ignorant kind of assessment. Hmm, judging from your writing style... you must be impotent. Thank you.
