- dood, on 01/07/2008, -0/+98It seems like there must be some sort of emotional disorder at play here. I'm guessing that way more than 10% of people were creeped out by it, but were too polite to say so.
- inactive, on 01/07/2008, -3/+87I'm gonna have fun dropping these reborns in public multiple times.
- willscottsi, on 01/07/2008, -0/+84OK, that's just freaky.
- Jillish, on 01/07/2008, -3/+82I think some of those women really shouldn't have kids. These dolls might actually be a good think for the sake of evolution.
- vault, on 01/07/2008, -3/+60This is treating babies like they're a fashion accessory. Very bizarre.
- KMye, on 01/07/2008, -2/+48Wow, these dolls open up an entire new level of twisted hidden camera show pranks... I'm going to hell...
- CannedMango, on 01/07/2008, -3/+46This is the female equivalent of the documentary:
Guys and Dolls (2006) (http://www.moviesfoundonline.com/guys_and_dolls.ph ...
-----
in which men buy dolls which look like real women and then live with them as if in an actual relationship.
A very interesting movie, and worth a watch (it's sure to get a lot of discussion going!) - bralynn, on 01/07/2008, -2/+40Nobody puts fake baby in the corner.
- ryan83189, on 01/07/2008, -0/+24I know a couple(not personally) that had a fake baby doll and carried it everywhere. They also walked in the road as if they were driving a car, obeying traffic signals etc.
- CannedMango, on 01/07/2008, -1/+22They're both creepy.
Women are more emotional, so they use fake people more for an emotional bond.
Men are mote physical so they use fake people more for a physical bond.
You can see in both videos that there is some crossover though. - rnwen2750, on 01/07/2008, -6/+24Okay, what's freaky is that you equate maternity instincts with sexual frustration.
- pateo, on 01/07/2008, -4/+21I don't get the whole pushing them around and giving them heartbeats and such. But those dolls are beautifully made, I could see them as a collector item if you were into such things.
- Alfurnguy, on 01/07/2008, -4/+20Apparently i'm in the 10% that think its "rather strange," who else is with me?
- tyywebb, on 01/07/2008, -3/+17First of all, WTF??!?! Second of all, when you think about it it's just the female version of the guys that buy those "ultra-realistic" sex dolls.
- inactive, on 01/07/2008, -1/+14GET IN MY BELLY!
- ChileanGoD, on 01/07/2008, -0/+13It is freaky but i think it is a good idea. Do you really want those morons to reproduce? Let them have their plastic toys.
- inactive, on 01/07/2008, -0/+13Follows what Hollywood is doing these days.
- danconia, on 01/07/2008, -0/+13I'm almost wondering if some lost a baby at some point. Miscarriages and/or infant deaths may have caused them to become neurotic.
I'm still trying to figure out what's wrong with adopting a real baby though...? - MillionsLivio, on 01/07/2008, -0/+12I'd say more like 95%.
- spenderaka, on 01/07/2008, -2/+14I saw this two times in a ten year span. Once in a stroller and once caring a doll in a grocery store.
But I've never seen a guy walking around with blow-up doll.
The woman seem to dissociate themselves from reality.
Spender a.k.a. - Xerces, on 01/07/2008, -0/+12I can has mental ward room for 2?
- MaTT2011, on 01/07/2008, -1/+12while its creepy i must admit it kinda makes sense when you think about what our primal, ingrained, instincts and urges really are. So many people, mostly women i would say, desire to have BABIES.....not necessarily children. There is some genetic imperative within us that compels us to create offspring and like many other genetic imperatives (think men preferring women with large breasts or the desire to "fit in" socially within the pack) we have used science, technology, artistry and intelligence to create suitable placebos, or replacements, to satisfy those imperatives.
Any way you look at it theres something interesting to be learned here. - Dested, on 01/07/2008, -0/+11If the eyes would have opened at 1:41 I would have ***** my pants.
- inactive, on 01/07/2008, -0/+11From the few lesbian couples I've known, they just breed Jack Russels to satisfy that maternal instinct. And before you digg me down, check the dog show winners.
- Lazrath, on 01/07/2008, -0/+11uncanny valley?
- Fihiro, on 01/07/2008, -0/+11Good, now we know the grammar police is still here.
Don't taze him with your grammatical correction gun. - peestandingup, on 01/07/2008, -0/+10It looks like the dead baby from Trainspotting.
- ninephoenixes, on 01/07/2008, -0/+10The only way this could possibly be creepier is if one of them also has a Real Doll.
- neuber, on 01/07/2008, -0/+9I'm in whatever percent thinks its "EXTREMELY CREPPY"
- inactive, on 01/07/2008, -2/+11Women are weird weird beings...
- CaptainTater, on 01/07/2008, -1/+10Thought it said "fake boobies". Let down. :(
- CannedMango, on 01/07/2008, -0/+9So you're in the 90% camp eh?
- Chompy, on 01/07/2008, -1/+9Prank idea: replace one of the fake babies with a real one, then watch the nutter's reaction when she walks into her "storage room".
- gabrielg01, on 01/07/2008, -0/+8Hey people, look at the good side of this. These people are INSANE, so it is a good thing they don't reproduce. Let them play with dolls.
- kaevne, on 01/07/2008, -0/+8While this seems laughable now, I'd say 25-75 years from now the world and its media will start contemplating robot partners of all sorts.
- tyywebb, on 01/07/2008, -4/+12http://www.realdoll.com
- stephant, on 01/07/2008, -0/+7Sorry, Johnny Knoxville of Jackass beat you to it. He also drove off with the fake baby (not these of course) on the roof of his car. Pretty funny.
- t0ny, on 01/07/2008, -1/+8Women want to take care of babies and men want just to make them. Seems normal to me. :)
- CannedMango, on 01/07/2008, -1/+7the link didn't display properly.... it should be .php but it trimmed the last character for some reason
www.moviesfoundonline.com/guys_and_dolls.php - Tpot, on 01/07/2008, -0/+6superfreaky
- NGliam, on 01/07/2008, -1/+7I didn't watch the show (it was on TV in the UK last week) and I'm pretty sure these dolls are worldwide. ***** you racist thank you please.
- thefallofbrad, on 01/07/2008, -0/+6another link: http://hk.youtube.com/watch?v=qij9J7M3k2c
- DinosWillDie13, on 01/07/2008, -0/+6....... and now I am going to unsuccessfully try to get a good night of sleep.
- CannedMango, on 01/07/2008, -1/+7Probably the same thing that's wrong with the *American* company that makes these things....
http://www.realdoll.com/ - compgeek, on 01/07/2008, -0/+6that's gotta be just about the creepiest thing I have seen ever. literally the first like minute gave me the willies it was just so bizzare
- Locke2053, on 01/07/2008, -1/+7Maternal instincts and sex instincts are both primitive reproductive instincts. In both cases, people are simply stimulating them artificially.
- seanhive, on 01/07/2008, -0/+6I hate to say that this seems even worse than guys who hang out with Real Dolls.
- Xerone, on 01/07/2008, -0/+6It is very creepy...
- rnwen2750, on 01/07/2008, -2/+7Oh noes! The fake babies are on the rise! Soon every white Christian will have one and there will be more of another type of people!
