- mathsciteach, on 01/13/2009, -1/+27The "trilogy" of The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy" by Douglas Adams (a very silly and fun series of, I believe, 5 books) asks the Ultimate Question and receives the answer of 42. This answer is discussed at length but no real sense is made of it.
You can always find the geeks in a crowd by loudly asking, "What is the answer to the Ultimate Question?" They will loudly reply, "42!" And if you are really lucky and they are really geeky they will be so happy to find each other and you that they will then begin having long conversations of dialog directly from the books which will then gradually change over to Monty Python routines as they run out of material. - inactive, on 01/13/2009, -5/+30***** you, 42 of my friends died at the end of the universe.
