And to be honest, you can't find the same level of outrage in a Buddhist as you would find in, say, a fundamentalist Christian. There's a lot of gratification to be had in being offensive. On the other hand, we *could* make fun of Muslims, but then there'd be burning flags and effigies and bombs and whatnot, and that's too intense for some people.
As for atheism and the GOP, neither are religions, I have no idea why you list them with the rest. Alhough admittedly, the GOP is fun to bash because you can catch politicians doing the opposite of what they claim is right (but that goes for a lot of people in politics). The humor is in that most kids see Easter as simply another day to get candy, completely missing the gravity of the holiday. It doesn't poke fun at Christians it pokes fun and the commercialization of the sacred.
- J6stik, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I know that, and that this submission is probably just a blip on their graph for the month. (Okay, so "*****-ton" is a gross exaggeration, relatively speaking.) It's basic etiquette to link to a page, tho. And I'm guessing that the submitter found the image through a hotlink as well. I've had experiences in the past where people hotlink to images I'm hosting, tho, and it was probably the biggest pet peeve of mine as a webmaster.
