- Blinker1315, on 04/29/2009, -6/+58I'm opposed to excessive government regulation, but texting while driving endangers other motorists on the road, as does yakking on a cell phone.
- W0lf1o, on 04/30/2009, -4/+45I can't believe this...it wasn't a woman.
- RedSox4547, on 04/30/2009, -0/+35DUGG for the bus drivers reaction after he hit the SUV.
- inactive, on 04/29/2009, -0/+31someone was just jailed in the UK for 9 years for causing death by dangerous driving - the dangerous bit was texting.
- Sucka27, on 04/30/2009, -0/+25I'm guessing the person in that 4Runner gives a *****.
- RedSox4547, on 04/30/2009, -0/+22Any man who denies road head is not a man at all.
- detcade, on 04/30/2009, -0/+17Next time someone crashes into your car, I'll be in the jury, voting "I don't give a *****".
- AkiraIsley, on 04/30/2009, -4/+20Other things you should not being doing while driving:
- Talking on the phone
- Eating food
- Sleeping
- ???
- Getting a blow job
- Drinking
- Crying
- Reading
- Watching TV
- Searching for your lost ______ under the seat - Rain12913, on 04/30/2009, -4/+18Yeah, did anybody else notice that he didn't even look back to see if his disabled passengers were okay? Not even on his mind, all he could think about was his job. ***** loser.....
- detcade, on 04/30/2009, -2/+15Ladies and gentleman, the American attention span
- billhanifin, on 04/29/2009, -2/+15I've been tempted myself, can't lie, I've done it....but it is bad, bad, bad. I haven't even had time to put the bumper sticker on my car that says "hang up and drive". Now I'll get the one that says "dnt txt whl u drv"
- EMJeney, on 04/30/2009, -2/+13And why aren't these drivers in jail exactly?
- detcade, on 04/30/2009, -0/+10It's not that ***** hard to crash a bus filled with disabled people into dead-stop traffic.
Fixed that for you - inactive, on 04/30/2009, -1/+11buried for burying for yakking
- blumpkinator, on 04/30/2009, -5/+14Driving while texting = FAIL.
- Rain12913, on 04/30/2009, -0/+8People can't even manage to not crash their cars while they're paying 100% attention to their driving, you think it's a good idea for average ***** #10094 to be texting also?
- MattyDienhoff, on 04/30/2009, -0/+6Dugg for the word "yakking".
- sockpuppets, on 04/30/2009, -1/+8Because people texting while driving are dangerous.
- KarateMedia, on 04/30/2009, -0/+6Jesus, I feel guilty just scanning though my mp3 player when I'm driving - how the ***** do people not feel like total douchebags for texting while driving?
Guess what - *especially* if you're driving a bus - nothing you are texting is more important than operating the ***** potential death machine that you are behind the wheel of!
Everyday a new facet of my hatred for humanity is polished to a showroom shine. - Neekolazz, on 04/30/2009, -0/+6They died? Phew, thank science.
- Resistoon, on 04/30/2009, -1/+6Ban all texting and remove this technology from cell phones!
- EMJeney, on 04/30/2009, -0/+5That would just piss off the passengers.
- chadsmith729, on 04/29/2009, -3/+7You know they could line the bus with a "faraday cage" material to block all cell phone signals. However, the bus driver would probably just stick their hand out the window.
- RedSox4547, on 04/30/2009, -5/+9I am agree with you on being opposed to texting while driving, very distracting. As for talking on the phone I do not understand what the difference is between that and talking to a person in the passenger seat. Maybe some people cannot do that efficiently either?
- abajaj2280, on 04/30/2009, -4/+8so...
i solve the Rubik's cube and laugh at people when i drive - AcesandEighths, on 04/30/2009, -0/+4This is nothing compared to the bozo's driving the school buses down here in Florida. These drivers are certifiable.
- whyt74, on 04/30/2009, -0/+4He may be able to text and maneuver through tight city streets but those damn stopped cars in a straight line mess him up pretty good.
- rpgguy1o1, on 04/30/2009, -0/+3who among us hasn't been videotaped doing something illegal on public transit?
- woofers07, on 04/30/2009, -0/+3Okay, that was a lot worse than I was expecting.
- miggyb, on 04/30/2009, -0/+3"We the jury find that we just don't give a *****." *air guitar solo*
- Funnylink, on 04/30/2009, -0/+3- Putting on makeup
- whatupdoc18, on 04/30/2009, -0/+3yo bus driver, you're an *****.
- ooMARLAoo, on 04/30/2009, -0/+3Exactly.
The surveillance cameras are RIGHT on them!
Kids get suspended/expelled when caught fooling around on the bus, but the actual bus driver can get away with texting? - enevitable, on 04/30/2009, -0/+3I'd hate to see this regulated, because this is a part of just being a responsible driver. This is something we need to be vastly aware about in the coming years though as smart phones become more main stream, texting is just the start of it, imagine drivers surfing the web and looking at Google maps.
I've already seen a lady T-bone a car in an intersection when she was clearly looking at her phone and the left signal turned green, not the straight through. - vladin, on 04/30/2009, -0/+3Douchebag.
- inactive, on 04/30/2009, -1/+4Text with toes while driving - hands are for keeping my beer from spilling!!!!!
- Mothrog, on 04/30/2009, -3/+6"I do not understand what the difference is between that and talking to a person in the passenger seat. "
You don't have to dial the number of the person in the passenger seat, and you don't get dropped passengers. - Mootabolife, on 04/30/2009, -0/+3Don't talk back.
- MonoDede, on 04/30/2009, -0/+3Get caught texting once? A fine. Twice? License suspension. Third times a charm? Revoked. Motorway accidents kill; if these ***** can't learn to drive properly, no driving allowed. And on the job? Are you ***** kidding me?
- sphigel, on 04/30/2009, -1/+4How far are you willing to take that? Is driving under the influence legal as long as you don't cause an accident?
- verynegative, on 04/30/2009, -0/+3Dumbass.
- faizal5k, on 04/30/2009, -0/+3I take those Chinatown buses which are $20 round trip from Philly <--> NYC and those bus drivers are ALWAYS on the damn ***** phone. I'm scared sometimes that there will be a crash while I'm in the bus. I've sent numerous complaints to that bus company and they still haven't done ***** about it.
- verynegative, on 04/30/2009, -1/+4He should be fired and fined. Prison seems a bit too much.
- tgc1, on 04/30/2009, -0/+3You guys remember that movie Idiocracy? Yeah, it's here now. This proves it.
- Skishy101, on 04/30/2009, -0/+2I'm guilty of texting while driving. But I only reply if it is important and I am at a red light or in the drive thru. Plus it is full keyboard and I've learned to type with one thumb without having to look down.
Still bad though. - DoktorRob, on 04/30/2009, -0/+2I'm a motorcyclist and I see it all the time. Cell phones are the most dangerous devices on the road. It's been well proven that inattention is the leading cause of vehicle accidents by far. The human brain can only process a limited number of stimuli and using the communication centers of the brain directly limits one's ability to focus on the road.
I like to explain it this way.
You're watching a show on TV. The phone rings and you answer it... do you have a good idea of what was happening on the show while you were talking? No!
Then what makes you think you can operate a two ton vehicle traveling at 60 miles an hour while talking on the phone?! - mishabear, on 05/01/2009, -0/+2I bet 80% of the people posting here have texted at least once while driving.
- ryanand80, on 04/30/2009, -0/+2Look mom, I'm texting at 65MPH!!
