- UncleCrapper, on 06/17/2008, -0/+4The psychic? Maybe. The teacher and school? Definitely (although that doesn't mean the case will succeed). A landmark case a few years ago established that those reporting suspected abusers must have legitimate concerns before doing so lest they open themselves to civil action. The case centered around the actions of a university professor in eastern Canada that reported one of his female students to police of suspected child abuse. With nothing more than his belief that a paper the student submitted on child abuse represented a real account, the student was ultimately placed on a social worker "black list" that resulted in her being denied employment in her field of study. After years of run around and outright lies from the university, the police, the province and social agencies, the student sued after finally learning of the true nature of the blacklist.
- simonowens, on 06/19/2008, -0/+2Does anybody remember the case in Florida where the teacher was fired for practicing "Wizadry" because he had showed his students a few magician tricks? I can't decide whether this story is worse.

Typo! - NSResponder, on 06/22/2008, -0/+1"Why do most people dismiss psychics? "
For the same reason we dismiss anyone else who just makes ***** up. Next question?
-jcr - MoxieHart, on 06/21/2008, -0/+1-Why do most people dismiss psychics?
Because there's no scientific evidence supporting them? Because none has won the James Randi Challenge yet, not even famous ones like Sylvia Browne, James van Pragh, or John Edwards? - InvisibleInk, on 06/18/2008, -0/+1I thought Canada had world-class health care, but they don't cover this treatment?
- codemonkeysteve, on 06/20/2008, -0/+1The spirits are telling me ... someone's going to get sued.
- bobthetitanic, on 06/20/2008, -1/+0Why do most people dismiss psychics? @WordsnCollision - That's not how psychics work. Now all of a sudden the mother wants to pull her out of the school for trying to protect her daughter and now wants the school to pay for treatments she obviously can't afford? It sounds kind of ridiculous to me.
