- falcooonpunch, on 10/30/2007, -1/+245So some sleazy old guy keeps coming on to your fellow students, so you run around naked in protest? That'll show him.
- FreakyD, on 10/10/2007, -4/+142At least when these kids get beaten by the guards or cops they will soak up their own blood.
- chaosmachine, on 10/30/2007, -1/+111"One student even ran naked through school halls with a paper bag over his head in protest."
Actually, I didn't even know about the protest... - tehbored, on 10/10/2007, -2/+104That is one seriously messed up school.
- tomboy501, on 10/10/2007, -1/+62Yeah, a bit much...but, look at it this way...these kids' protest made the Washington Post. Sometimes you gotta go extreme. If that sleazy old guy wasn't already toast, he sure is now.
- WhiteIce89, on 10/10/2007, -0/+53"The district had banned backpacks in hallways this year for safety and security reasons, school officials said."
WHAT THE *****? - rnwen2750, on 10/10/2007, -5/+57What a freakin' creep! Good for those kids (especially the young men) - it is difficult enough to stand up to the authority, particularly in HS.
- collective, on 10/30/2007, -0/+40I'm going to get drunk and wear a lampshade on my head... in protest.
- Gzero, on 10/10/2007, -0/+37How the hell can you go to school without a backpack? Honestly.
- chicoer2001, on 10/10/2007, -0/+34If it's true that you can only carry a bag if you're having a period, there's something wrong with the school.
- Subvexer, on 10/10/2007, -1/+35"One student even ran naked through school halls with a paper bag over his head in protest."
That was actually an unrelated event involving acid and a dare. - Hood15, on 10/10/2007, -0/+32His job consists of asking girls if it's that time of the month?
- robdavy, on 10/10/2007, -3/+33"The district had banned backpacks in hallways this year for safety and security reasons,"
Um? Kids can't have backpacks in school hallways?
"Coming up next: briefcases banned from downtown office buildings"
The US is far too scared. The Administration/Terrorists/Oil Companies* have won.
*Delete as believed. - juicebag, on 10/10/2007, -17/+45VOTE RON PAUL, AND ALL YOUR WILDEST DREAMS WILL COME TRUE
- eddielement, on 10/10/2007, -1/+28I wonder why they banned backpacks...
...BACKPACK FIGHT!? - EmperorAwesome, on 10/10/2007, -0/+25I remember when they did that at my middle school. The policies there were ridiculous. Of course, you'd still get in trouble for not having your books in class or being late because you had to go to your locker between every single class. From 7th to 12th grade I was routinely treated like a criminal five days a week. Yay for idiots with authority.
- drizzlelicious, on 10/10/2007, -1/+22Banned backpacks??? What the hell???
- noahhoward, on 10/10/2007, -1/+22Great thing about protests, it brings out all the idiots who have no idea why everyone else is out running around but won't stand to be left out.
- jbklego, on 10/30/2007, -12/+33In Soviet Russia, tampon wears you!
- mohamedmansour, on 10/10/2007, -1/+21Welcome to the USA
- carterbaldwin, on 10/10/2007, -9/+28Clearly, this security guard is part of the police state! Ron Paul was right!
- kingkilr, on 10/30/2007, -1/+20A foursome with hot female triplets?
- jbklego, on 10/10/2007, -3/+21OMG BOMB!
ITS A TRAP! - 1337Einstein, on 10/10/2007, -0/+18Security Guard Responds, "Back off man. I'm a scientist."
- mV0G7, on 10/10/2007, -2/+20Pics of the naked kid or it didn't ha...
On second thought, never mind. - KevenM, on 10/30/2007, -7/+25Dugg for the google ads appearing on this page
- pastasauce, on 10/30/2007, -7/+24You know the drill. Pics or it didn't happen.
- Eleo, on 10/10/2007, -1/+17At this rate Ron Paul is going to become an internet meme. I'm just going to start dropping his name into every conversation, just because.
- unorginalityftw, on 10/30/2007, -0/+14Anyone think that kid was just looking for an excuse to streak with a paper bag over his head?
- forthelifeofme, on 10/10/2007, -0/+13Wait a second...
what kind of screwed up school bans BACKPACKS!? - haterrade, on 10/10/2007, -1/+14yeah..it clearly didn't do anything..especially since this story was picked up by digg and every major newspaper already when it happened. right?
- TotalHalibut, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12Getting picked up by Digg is hardly a major achievement. Making a story popular is as easy as getting 60 or so cronies to digg it in a short-space of time.
- LaueOfficer, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13It was a dude. Bag over "his" head.
- doshindude, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12wait till you see texas.
- BlackCow, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10I am sure he is well aware lol.
- TomP, on 10/10/2007, -8/+18What ads?
- 1337Einstein, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11Isn't that what happens already?
- mercurysquad, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9In other words, you wish you weren't such an idiot? ;)
- Le3f, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8^punctuation necessary
- thelimopit, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10Wrong guy, wrong place, wrong time of the month.
- Eleo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8I don't know. I've been wondering myself if the constant injection of his name into every other discussion is an honest grassroots effort or a slick form of trolling. Maybe it's a little bit of both.
- doshindude, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8I laughed for a good 30 seconds straight reading your comment.
- chrispr, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8That's how it was in my school as well. It was terrible. They allowed you to have backpacks in the beginning of the day, but not in-between. You were required to carry all of your materials and books individually to each class. Adding insult to injury, they rarely gave you any time to go to your locker in-between classes. They wanted to keep the halls "trouble free". They said they didn't allow backpacks in class because they were a safety hazard (not to clumsy students, they implied guns and knives could be concealed in them).
- retral, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8No backpacks.. do they really think that's going to stop the psycho who has had enough of people picking on him from wearing a gun tucked into his pants? Hell no. ***** school systems.. I'm glad I am done.
- zeldafan, on 10/30/2007, -0/+8You're obviously not in school anymore.
It's gotten bad in schools, real bad. In my district you can't wear hoodies anymore due to safety reasons... Yeah.
(edit: that was supposed to go to whiteice, my mistake.) - octophobic, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Yup. Someone wiling to run around naked barely needs any reason all - but it does make for a convenient cover story.
- Hood15, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8So you support people who ask anyone with a purse "are you on your period"?
- Smight, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Yes!
...but you also have to convince three incestuous triplets to vote for Ron Paul to decriminalize it, then convince them to have a foursome with you. - mikewhite314, on 10/10/2007, -8/+14aw *****, I have AdBlock Plus, I don't see them.
- Hood15, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6start posting some that way you can stop saying this in places it doesn't belong.
