- dimsum05, on 10/16/2007, -15/+471Is HTML really geeky anymore?
- ivorysky, on 10/13/2007, -10/+388Does that mean a geek started it too?
- TGMD, on 10/12/2007, -16/+248if(war.start == 'true'){
bush.blame = 'yes';
} else {
eat.icecream = 'yeah!;
} - GodsDragon, on 10/13/2007, -18/+224should be more like < /Bush>
- bjarkebech, on 10/10/2007, -5/+167HTML is, Frontpage is not.
- Vicujozobenaxod, on 10/10/2007, -3/+137You can't close that tag, it's embedded into the web page of human existence.
- 89vision, on 10/26/2007, -2/+134I believe its called myspace code now.
- willemmulder, on 10/10/2007, -15/+129if ( usingLousyProgrammingStyle(this.parentComment) ) {
me.scream("use proper programming with good booleans, and no nonsense like eat.iceream='yeah!'");
} else {
me.eatMoreIceCreamThan(this.parentComment.owner);

- willemmulder, on 10/13/2007, -1/+97ah, you mean < strong > < /strong >
- bigdoug, on 10/10/2007, -3/+91Bush has no idea what a forward slash means. He thinks its a Pakistani comma.
- thechosen, on 10/10/2007, -13/+99Should've been in < b > < /b > .
- Magillicutti, on 10/13/2007, -11/+91HAI

KTHXBYE - WoollyMittens, on 10/12/2007, -2/+71That's not html, since "war" it is not a valid HTML element. Offcourse it is XML instead. :)
- jjb123, on 10/13/2007, -6/+73Not since the dawn of CrapSpace.
- Mirielle, on 10/10/2007, -1/+63Welcome to Digg.
- Lewie, on 10/10/2007, -0/+54I like your style.
- leprix, on 10/10/2007, -7/+56you sir, are an idiot.
- willemmulder, on 10/10/2007, -4/+51how many people around you do you know that know (proper) HTML? Not too much probably. Unless you're a real geek. But that in turn proves the point that HTML *is* geeky.
- ClayDragon, on 10/13/2007, -1/+46Wrong! You can't surround a closing tag with a set of other tags: < b > < /war > < /b >
- shinynew, on 10/10/2007, -5/+50too many functions also shouldn't that be single quote marks?
can we standardize the programming language used in jokes?
I vote for basic. - Nougat, on 10/10/2007, -3/+4810 "WAR? Y/N"; INPUT A$
20 "BUSH'S FAULT? Y/N"; INPUT B$
30 IF A$ = "Y" THEN GOTO 50
40 GOTO 100
50 IF B$ = "Y" THEN GOTO 70
60 GOTO 100
70 PRINT "GO STOP THE WAR."
80 GOTO 110
100 PRINT "GO GET SOME ICE CREAM."
110 PRINT "THANK YOU." - capiCrimm, on 10/13/2007, -1/+44that's some crappy coding. What if I wanted to blame Nixon?
- euro22, on 12/17/2008, -1/+40That's what she said.
- Splitter402, on 10/10/2007, -10/+49Read this as Star Wars
- talywackerflash, on 10/10/2007, -2/+38typical twit republiscum
- wolfimus, on 10/10/2007, -0/+33He.... he knows about commas?
- Slungsolow, on 10/30/2007, -3/+34tag is deprecated.
- Jugalator, on 10/10/2007, -0/+30But it's not necessary to understand HTML to adopt the end tag meme. It has become a meme on its own and you see it in lots of places. Just like people using the " != " thing may not at all be C++ programming graduates. Heck for all I know about people, I wouldn't be surprised if some using the "life > you" thing or whatever don't even get the "greater than" sign... :-p
- jdmcadam, on 10/10/2007, -0/+29The same one that allows you to end global conflict with 6 characters of ASCII
- thcobbs, on 10/10/2007, -1/+28You just:
- Download source tree from cvs
- Modify blame.bush='yes' to blame.bush='I am not a crook'
- Recompile with "make clean; make dep; make; make install"
- Generate patch file
- Submit patch file to mailing list
Simple right? - m0tbaillie, on 10/10/2007, -2/+27He's just pissed because he's clearly not tech-savvy and didn't get the joke. Leave him be, he has issues.
- Me1000, on 10/10/2007, -1/+25First time I have seen it!
Shut Up! - dnite, on 10/13/2007, -2/+25CrapSpace? Really? That's the best you got? I don't think 'CrapSpace' made HTML non-geeky. Everyone who used HTML on myspace thinks they are special 'myspace codes'.. 95% of them don't even realize they're using HTML since all they're doing is copy and pasting.
- anarchytv, on 10/10/2007, -0/+23that's more like a closing tag, which assumes you were the one programming the war... better to sudo to root and do a kill -9 on the war process
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+24damn you guys are nerds...
- mcprogrammer, on 10/10/2007, -0/+22What markup language lets you put attributes in the closing tags?
- sapped, on 10/13/2007, -2/+24I don't think Bush is finished with his bold statements yet
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+20I'm printing that out and placing it in my box of treasures.
- leroyrich240, on 10/10/2007, -5/+24If tooAnalRetentive = True Then
MsgBox("Settle your ass!")
End If
(Yeah, VBScript - I'm not a programmer, I'm an Admin) - niczar, on 10/10/2007, -4/+22If you were a real admin, you'd do it in sh or perl.
VB? That's for kids. - centran, on 10/13/2007, -5/+23*****
- kenadak, on 10/10/2007, -0/+16Oh, if this were only true! alas... I manage an IIS server running a website written by a woman who has at least 2 pages I swear were exported to HTML from Word 95! The rest was made with Frontpage...
- willemmulder, on 10/10/2007, -3/+19I really didn't want to use the [/just kidding] here, but all right, there you go. I was [/just kidding]. < /comment >
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+15Wait, wait... I get to end it like the guy did in the pic!
< /war > - theghoul, on 10/19/2007, -1/+15like < BR > no end tag implemented.
- mal1964, on 10/10/2007, -2/+16More like "Protest the war the geeky way"
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+14HARDY HAR HAR
- Rikushix, on 10/10/2007, -1/+15Haha....style. I get it.
