- mdjohnson1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+69You know what also works for "any surface"? A clock and duct tape.
- dbug, on 10/13/2007, -0/+40Wow, is it yellow past blue already?!
- Vazelos, on 10/11/2007, -0/+34Give me a situation where you do not have enough wall space in a house to hang a clock please.
- akkibaba, on 10/11/2007, -0/+32I wish they made a smaller version of this, with some sort of strap so I could tie it to my wrist or something. Then I'd have the time everywhere.
- MikeonTV, on 10/12/2007, -2/+33you use your brain.
- PerfektXj, on 10/10/2007, -1/+25Wordpress error already! heres a mirror http://m3.bestpicever.com/piles/?s=timeanywhere
- Subvexer, on 10/11/2007, -0/+22What, are you kidding? I'm always running out of wall space, and my growing amount of unused metal wall surfaces causes me great concern.
I should probably just stop filling my walls with metal tiles... - Subvexer, on 10/13/2007, -0/+22Finally mankind has mastered the technology behind adding a clock to a magnet.
- on9star, on 10/11/2007, -8/+20Stick around, you've got plenty of time
- manray, on 10/13/2007, -0/+12Wordpress however, does not stick to any surface or server
- Camote, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10I can't ever recall successfully viewing a Wordpress page linked from Digg. Ever. Guess I'm too slow.
- Puttzy, on 10/11/2007, -3/+13good call Nostradamus
- TheSexyGeek, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9Sorry. . . this is kinda lame. Not Digg-worthy in my opinion.
- mismetti, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8Wordpress sucks.
- Insomnya3AM, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7But the situation must also have ample pot-space.
- Frei, on 10/11/2007, -2/+9Hamster wheel
- 16777216, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6It is technically a chronometer until it is placed.
For example when not placed it only shows the passage of time.
However, when set in a fixed position it then becomes a clock as now there is a reference point with which to associate with x hour of the day.
So, it does not matter where the hands are before you place the clock ( to make it simple we will assume both hands are pointing the same way ) if it is noon place it with the hands pointing up, if it is 3:00 give it a 90° turn to the right etc.. - Rockmaninoff, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Reminds me of StarFox 64...
"Keep shooting! We've got lots of torpedos!" - Cyber_Akuma, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6When I saw the title I was excited.
Then when I saw the description I was disappointed. I thought this was that prototype I once saw of a nearly paper-thin see through watch that looked like it was made out of a small strip of see-through plastic. - nekochan, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5...or is it adding a magnet to a clock?
- roystgnr, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5There's lots of situations where wall space is at a premium but where metal surfaces are plentiful. Submarines. Spaceships. Tanks. Giant robot cockpits. You're just need to start thinking outside the box, and inside the smaller metal box.
- 16777216, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4No, it's ran with an illudium Q-36 explosive space modulator .
- MikeonTV, on 10/10/2007, -5/+9Sheesh. 13 magnets, a glue gun, a small clock mechanism and 12 of anything will get you the same thing.
- webprgmr15, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4I hated windows clock so I attached this one to my monitor...
- Gzero, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4You only know when it fails. Maybe there's just a lot of wordpress sites out there.
- jamangold, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5I admit it, I dugg this before reading the article. I thought it would be a thin, flexible liquid crystal display sandwiched on top of a magnet. I was wrong. Horribly wrong. It's nothing more than crap bought from Hobby Lobby and hot glued together. The shame of this digg will follow me for as long as my profile is active. Damn you, WordPress. Damn you all to hell.
- Foamator, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3It would suck having this if you have OCD.
Coloured... blobs... must... be... at... completely... regular... intervals...
AARRGHHH!!!! - 16777216, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5How the hell should I know, I'm color blind you insensitive clod!
- FriskDown, on 10/11/2007, -3/+6A mark on the back perhaps?
- Dylan47, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4now thats innovation! fancy a clock, but on your wrist..!
- decker12, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Strangely my home or office isn't surrounded by metal walls, so this is of dubious use to me. But I'll know what to buy if I ever move into say, a storage container or a meat locker.
- CannedMango, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3That's why you read before digging... otherwise you might end up digging someones blog (ugh). You might also end up digging a word press error which is much more infuriating.
- PaperDesigns, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5So cool! I can't begin to tell you how cool that it. I think I'll make one. Actually, I have all the pieces now sitting in the art studio.... I'll put up a pic of my version when I'm finished. Thanks for the shout!
- emberjohn, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4http://64.233.167.104/search?q=cache:z-kNu28sYecJ: ...
- 16777216, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Yes, and your point is?....
- Wazzog, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Thats handy, cause I dont have any wall space, but I do have plenty of metal areas around. Or for the suction ones, that may go handy on my wall, just like a normal clock
- jenjer, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Site is down probably from diggers ;)
google's cache http://64.233.167.104/search?q=cache:z-kNu28sYecJ: ... - Dylan47, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2no your mistaken, the doesnt actually do anything, its the universe that warps itself around it, making it look like the hands are moving.
- Dylan47, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2lets try fusing a pidgin and a rat next time..
- Wazzog, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4I didnt realise it would mater which it the 12 O'clock position, doesnt a function exactly the same regardless of if its 5oclock or 12oclock
- walkingdogs, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Yeah kind of like your watch or any wall clock.
Smart aren't we? - tradwolley, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2WordPress strikes again!!!
No, wait, it rolled over and played dead. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Too bad, you thought the design world was actually aware of the great technological achievements of the past 30 years. Nope, they're still stuck on rainbow colors and wasteful novelties.
- arjie, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Ah, a magnetic clock! I shall stick this on my cassette player, it'll look great!
- cogit0, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Hell, a clock mechanism, glue gun, and 12 of anything will also stick to most surfaces. Completely skip the magnets part.
- Dylan47, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2if you rotate the hands of a clock at noon 45 degrees, it isnt 3:15, its 1:30.
each minute is six degrees on a clock, i.e. 60 minutes in a clock, encompassing 360 degrees.
so 1:30, would be 7.5 minutes from starting point, x6 = 45 degrees. - Error601, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I like it. I don't think I've seen a design like quite that before. Clock making is a good creative hobby because pretty much any skill level can create something usable.
- jamangold, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Update: I forgot about the "Undigg" button in my profile. The deed has been done, my sins have been cleansed. Now, where is that blasted "Bury" link?
- Dylan47, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1do you only digg funny and witty comments? this comment is perfectly valid.. definatly not grounds for insult.
