- mbelleghem, on 10/14/2007, -5/+193Did anyone else notice that the police were quickly summoned and the poor guy interrogated by them? Welcome to the USA, land of the free, home of those able to handle the image of a naked person, etc etc...
Seriously if this happened in Europe, Australia, Canada, or pretty much anywhere else in the world, there'd be a snicker or two, and life would move on without the CNN / USA Today coverage. - analogkid01, on 10/23/2007, -0/+79Autoplay - it can be your enemy, and it can be your enemy.
- amprather, on 10/14/2007, -1/+61Note to self:
Memory Stick with Business stuff - Black One
Memory Stick with Porn - Hot Pink One - inactive, on 10/14/2007, -2/+58So will he get the same treatment that Julie Amero did?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julie_Amero - ZiggityZhang, on 10/23/2007, -2/+46Topless woman counts as porn? That's sissy stuff.
- inactive, on 10/14/2007, -7/+50I don't know HOW those pictures got on my memory stick!
As long as they are adults, you don't have to give a ***** what people think. - Error601, on 10/14/2007, -2/+40They actually go the police involved??? Come on...it's High School and it wasn't child porn.
- cybermort, on 10/14/2007, -1/+38america should put ***** on its terror list. we sure seem terrified by them
- schlurp, on 10/10/2007, -11/+44Seriously, and it wasn't even porn - just a topless woman.
Fits nicely with yesterdays threat about he outrage of someone flying a mexican flag over an american flag.
Home of the free my ass. Get back to me when I can drink a beer on the beach or smoke what the hell I want. - fluxion, on 10/10/2007, -1/+33he got off easy. remember the teacher who got fired and taken to trial for some child indecency charge when she started getting spyware pop ups with porn on the class computer?
whatever happened with that by the way? anyone know? im hoping charges dropped, that ***** was ridiculous. - enki25, on 10/10/2007, -14/+44If he was a Republican it would be a picture of a naked dude.
- torched, on 10/23/2007, -3/+32Oh man i've been there, + sympathetic digg.
- cmost, on 10/14/2007, -1/+27I love the part where he exclaims "I have no idea where they came from!?!?" in referring to the directory of nude images. *****! Way to cop to it when you get caught red handed. Leave to to politicians to continue proclaiming innocence in light of overwhelming evidence to the contrary. I'm not offended in the least by porn, but this guy should step down immediately simply for lying about it.
- x1101, on 10/14/2007, -0/+26Maybe when he said he didnt know where it came from he meant he doesnt remember which site he downloaded it from.....
- chall2001, on 10/14/2007, -1/+27I can only imagine what the call to the police sounded like.
911 operator: "This is 911, what is your emergency?"
Principal: "A topless photo was accidentally shown to a room of high school seniors!!!!!"
911 operator: "The police are on there way sir."
Why do I have this image of several police cars showing up and a dozen cops demanding to see the "evidence"? - Godlike, on 10/10/2007, -3/+28OH NO A TOPLESS WOMAN IN A HIGHSCHOOL CLASSROOM!?!
Get a rope. - natedouglas, on 10/10/2007, -0/+23What's sleazy about topless women? Granted, this whole thing is inappropriate, silly, and embarrassing, but I don't see what's sleazy about it.
- dondara, on 10/14/2007, -1/+24Yep, thats how backward we in america are. We could show brutal murder after murder on TV but if one nipple is shown ...OMFG, call the police, what about the children, I'm being harassed etc. And you wonder why we are so violent.
- bgthigfist, on 10/14/2007, -0/+22dumbass, keep your photos and your presentations on separate sticks
- BuboTitan, on 10/14/2007, -1/+22Plus it was only a topless photo for crying out loud! Here in Europe, this wouldn't even be a problem.
- jankind, on 10/10/2007, -1/+22Those poor, poor high school seniors... They must be traumatized!
- Godlike, on 10/10/2007, -7/+27Well, he probably doesn't run around screaming about how everyone is going to hell, either.
- Error601, on 10/10/2007, -6/+25So, basically you're admitting you'd be a stereotyping, political party sheep retard. Good job.
- DooM, on 10/10/2007, -3/+19They were all 18 - I think they'll live. Dunno if this guy's political career will, but hey..
- GabrielS, on 10/10/2007, -2/+18Dear elected officials,
Please use your own resources to access pornography. We have a hard enough time financing our own pornography. We really don't want to finance yours.
Sincerely,
The Tax Payers - MackDiesel2010, on 10/10/2007, -8/+24He is a Democrat. Were he a Republican, I would be dugg up for pointing this out.
- cloudyprison, on 10/10/2007, -1/+16At least he has some fuel to say he isn't gay.
- zyklon, on 10/14/2007, -0/+13"Barrett said the data memory stick was a gift he received about three weeks ago from a legislative liaison from the state Library of Ohio."
I'm sure. - redrock34, on 10/10/2007, -3/+16Should have just told him he was preparing for an abstinence lecture next. See this is what you wack off to when we force our morals on you!
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+15Sorry for slipping that porn onto your flash drive. I didn't think you'd be giving a presentation the next day.
- juwannaman23, on 10/10/2007, -2/+14Don't be ridiculous. Dems just aren't always preaching morality. It's not about being above reproach, it's about not being hypocrites.
- dirtyfrog, on 10/14/2007, -3/+14Could they have gotten the police involved because not all kids in high school are 18? I graduated from high school at 17 so even if it was just seniors their are still "minors" in the room. Maybe they just wanted to make sure they covered themselves in case some kid went home and told their parents that someone showed a topless women in a presentation. The parents would definately start seeing dollar signs. At least this way the polics were made aware and their is a record that this was most likely a mistake.
- natedouglas, on 10/10/2007, -2/+13Hey, it's the Republicans who don't like birth control...
- thanakar, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11Hell, in Europe this would have been a commercial on TV. Tuity Fruity anyone?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+12Those kids have seen worst.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+12Dems do silly things.. like getting cought for getting a BJ from an Intern, showing porn pics in class to seniors.
Reps do silly things like, invade countries, spend billions of people's money, responsible for death's of thousands, get rich off of texas tea... you know.. silly things... - zengonzo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10Looks like he's staring at a pair in that picture ..
- natedouglas, on 10/10/2007, -2/+12Why do Republicans equate pictures of topless women with attempted seduction of underage boys, soliciting for sex in men's rooms, and trying to orally rape a drunken accquaintance?
- stronglikedan, on 10/10/2007, -2/+12Of course he will!
Move along, nothing to see here.
You look thirsty. Here, have some of this Kool-Aidâ„¢. - RadicalEdward, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9How did autoplay make the image auto open if it had mixed content on the mem stick?
Not to mention who the hell puts personal and work stuff in the same spot? - winmywii, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10There is nothing wrong with having the images. You are right though, he is probably lying and that would be bad.
- RichLatherX23, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9"...but the nudie images were a gift he gave himself during a lunch break."
Giggity! - Godlike, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10Right, but as everyone who is not greedy or mentally disarmed can clearly see, there was no crime committed here. People who want to wrap the world in paper and red tape from atop their money piles might, but I seriously doubt there was any actual harm caused.
- amprather, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10Maybe the guy was truly showing HOW a bill becomes a law. Maybe it does involve a naked woman? Wink Wink.
Every thought of that! - schmitey, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10Interesting, I'd never heard of this before. Totally believable though, schools are totally naive about updating and malware.
And to think that I was going to be a substitute teacher at one time... - zengonzo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8Under more private circumstances I'm sure it would have been a most appreciated surprise.
- blueZhift, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9This actually does appear to be an update of the classic centerfold up the slide projector pull down screen. You know, the teacher pulls the screen down, students get an eyeful. It's nice to see that the classic pranks have not been forgotten in this digital age!
- Schauvin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8how was Bush/Cheney involved again? People like you help the Republicans.
- drakenlot, on 10/14/2007, -1/+9Brings a whole new meaning to Plug-n-Play
- jdoe562, on 10/14/2007, -0/+7Hey Joe, gimme the evidence! I need to take it back to the "forensics lab" in order to "examine it".
