- irfanmp, on 07/25/2008, -2/+65I ignored the suggestion because Digg never suggested it to me. If you notice both URLs are exactly the same: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25802950 meaning that had I tried submitting it, Digg should have directed me to the "Cool! This has already been submitted page". Instead, since I submitted mine before the other digger clicked the "Totally original, I swear" button, Digg allowed me to submit it as an original link and the other one did not show up in the dupe suggestion.
I never re-submit something if the dupe suggestion catches it. Instead, I digg whoever had submitted it first, as I should. So to BOOKLOVER28 I apologize. But to you, sir, I ask you not to jump to any conclusions in the future, lest you want to look like a moron. - dnields, on 07/25/2008, -1/+291. 1943: The Philadelphia Experiment

I was lead to believe that this article would be about X files episodes that caused a large controversy in the real world. What I got was 6 strange events that may or (more probably) may not have actually happened. I now get that these are 'real' X-Files and not instances from the show, but it's somewhat misleading. Moderately interesting nonetheless.
- inactive, on 07/26/2008, -1/+23what about how the fridge light goes out when the door is closed. total x-file.
- hdar3415, on 07/25/2008, -0/+20Diggs "dupe checker" isn't that great anyhow.
- chrisshouse, on 07/25/2008, -1/+16I love the Xfiles:)
- sfaiku, on 07/25/2008, -3/+16Did anyone notice that the circled code in the "wow signal" image looks like "EQUUS"? Are aliens really horses? Or perhaps they want to see Daniel Radcliffe naked?
- chadwalters23, on 07/26/2008, -1/+14The episode "Home" sparked a serious debate on what should be allowed on television. It was, by far, the most controversial episode of the X-files and should definitely have been included. It was banned from network television and only ever aired on the TNT and FX rebroadcasts. I believe (or at least want to.)
- inactive, on 07/25/2008, -0/+12Funny how television can really influence the way we act and the way we look at things...even subliminally.
- razorsharpwit, on 07/25/2008, -2/+13haha yes, skeptics and believers.
a skeptic needs evidence to believe in something illogical-
a believer needs no such evidence - anagoge, on 07/26/2008, -1/+10Gillian Anderson is still hot.
That's all I have to say on the matter. - Tonicks, on 07/26/2008, -0/+9Here's how the X-Files goes.
Scully: "Mulder, there's a logical explanation for this."
Mulder: "I know... but what if there ISN'T?" - mdlyn26, on 07/25/2008, -4/+12dugg....
- dbldn, on 07/25/2008, -2/+10Relax bronco. Irfan meant no ill will.

- War3Zone, on 07/25/2008, -1/+7Digg DUPE CHECKER ftw! :D
- louiebaur, on 07/26/2008, -0/+6yea that thing doesnt work to well
- gab00n, on 07/26/2008, -0/+5It doesn't go out, it's always in the fridge.
- gab00n, on 07/26/2008, -1/+5Actually they all died.
- DonWigler, on 07/26/2008, -1/+5The Lone Gunmen live forever!
- joel8x, on 07/26/2008, -2/+6Just got back from the movie - I think the reviewers are panning it because they were expecting something grandiose, and what you get is an X-Files episode 6 years after the 2 main characters left the FBI. Sure their are a million more interesting topics that could have warranted a new movie, but come on - pedophilia and a modern-day Dr. Frankenstein are pretty heavy subjects. It is essentially a movie that manages to address a lot of unanswered questions about the two main characters while revisiting the off-beat, who-done-it style of the non-mythology episodes. It is not groundbreaking, but much like most of the Star Trek movies, true fans will appreciate the offering. I only wish Chris Carter would realize that he doesn't have to make X-Files movies that appeal to non-fans at this point, and bringing back the Lone Gunmen in the future would be a good decision.
- DonWigler, on 07/26/2008, -0/+4They're alive in my heart.
- rbk303, on 07/26/2008, -0/+3If only the system could have been there to save YOU from looking like a moron. Oh well. ; )
- joel8x, on 07/26/2008, -1/+4It did air on Fox, it was banned after the original air date. But yes, it is the most disturbing one.
- SillyDigger, on 07/26/2008, -1/+4What were they thinking when they casted some guy named "Xzibit" in this movie?
- Tonicks, on 07/26/2008, -0/+3That's what they want you to think.
- northernmonkee, on 07/26/2008, -0/+37 pages yet only around 1000 words and 7 pictures. When will these sites realise we don't want to continually reload a page just to advance to the next paragraph.
- DeFex, on 07/26/2008, -0/+3bah..no chupacabra.
- rationalist, on 07/26/2008, -0/+2He was talking about a fridge light, not a Digger.
- BuckNutty, on 07/26/2008, -0/+2" I only wish Chris Carter would realize that he doesn't have to make X-Files movies that appeal to non-fans at this point..."
EXACTLY. Sure you have to take that into consideration in terms of making money and appealing to a wider audience, but this is what has hampered the X-Files ever since Carter decided to move away from the the whole alien/conspracy stuff in favor of the sporadic supernatural/mythology one offs. It's almost a given now that the X-Files will never fully give fans what they truly want.
I mean the days of CSM, Mr. X, Krycek, Lone Gunmen and all of that... golden. - inactive, on 07/26/2008, -0/+2Uh you can't brainwash people didn't the Philadelphia Experiment screw them up in the head because of the magnetic field they created on the boat or whatever?
- CancerBomb, on 07/26/2008, -0/+2Four.
- chadwalters23, on 07/26/2008, -0/+2Word on the street is...not so much.
- chadwalters23, on 07/26/2008, -0/+2It's called "Home." It's been mentioned.
- chadwalters23, on 07/26/2008, -0/+2required wiki to digg you or bury you. wiki says bury.
- Goldbricker, on 07/26/2008, -0/+2I am so sick of the slideshow ***** on these sites.
- rationalist, on 07/26/2008, -0/+2I have AdBlock Plus, but I hear this is designed to feed you more "ads", a possibly apocryphal but certainly archaic form of commercial communication.
- adnams, on 07/27/2008, -0/+2***** off a time-traveling, zombie-like, signal-broadcasting, crop-circle-making, Bigfoot-like overlord killed two of my friends!
- MikeLiveAdmins, on 07/26/2008, -3/+5Great stuff here!! :D nice submission, Irfan
- Onji, on 07/26/2008, -1/+3I thought number six said "Is Bigfoot black?" and I was like: "Wtf?" *skips ahead to number 6*
- sysop073, on 07/29/2008, -0/+1"Print this" link FTW
- mrgermy, on 07/26/2008, -0/+1Good find and the plot-line is pretty similar.
- jgtg32a, on 07/26/2008, -0/+1Maybe they submitted at the same time?
- Tonicks, on 07/26/2008, -0/+1That's what they want it to tell you.
- sparkleshine, on 07/26/2008, -0/+1What season is that episode from?
- chadwalters23, on 07/26/2008, -0/+1I'm thinking netflix or some form of piracy
- sysop073, on 07/29/2008, -0/+1THERE'S A BUTTON! Why do people insist on commenting with "dugg" and "buried"? Click the button, we'll know about it
- alwilson, on 07/26/2008, -0/+1I want to believe... but common sense tells me otherwise.
- inactive, on 07/27/2008, -0/+1Anyone else wondering if this is too far gone to reincarnate? The X-Files, I mean.
