Summary (from what I gathered)
* The names Kirk McInerney and Martin Carty can be ignored.
1. Mary-Ellen Mitchell (previously known as Miss Murphy prior to marriage) and Joshua Mitchell have a small dispute and break up from their relationship.
2. During that time, Mary-Ellen started talking to Jason McInerney who was using the false alias "Paddy Delaney". She met up with him whilst out with her aunt and sister.
3. He began showering her with expensive gifts and asked her out but she told him she still loved her estranged fiancé.
4. Mary-Ellen told the court she stopped calling Mr McInerney and asked him not to call her after she and Mr Mitchell were reunited.
5. Joshua Mitchell was shot in the upper thigh in an apparent attempt to "sexually mutilate" him during his wedding with Mary-Ellen.
