- inactive, on 11/27/2007, -2/+39fun... dugg!
off topic, but I like the saying: "if you lend $20 to someone and never see them again, it was probably worth it". - jejeje666, on 11/27/2007, -0/+12"2 - Half the people you know are below average."
I think that includes you =P - richmessenger, on 11/27/2007, -0/+10That's why people keep borrowing money from me.
- sockpuppets, on 11/27/2007, -2/+11I like reply buttons.
- inactive, on 11/27/2007, -5/+14I like turtles
- praveenmarkandu, on 11/27/2007, -2/+10"2 - Half the people you know are below average." - obviously the devil has never heard of variance
- thcobbs, on 11/27/2007, -2/+10The depression comment is just ***** right on!
- deano6410, on 11/27/2007, -4/+11yes, a classis tune. Agreed though, great post, very amusing, and scarily accurate.
- betterth, on 11/27/2007, -2/+8I dunno it was cheesy. I was hoping for like advice from some unholy priest of the church of satan or something. Some creepily interesting advice, not some cliched sayings... oh hell whatever, dugg anyway lol.
- OnipSemaj, on 11/27/2007, -1/+5Very clever - I liked it, but I don't understand how most of these apply to "self-imprisonment advice".
- inactive, on 11/27/2007, -0/+5I feel like I've seen all of these before. Oh well, why reinvent the wheel?
More seriously, why is self improvement advice so popular these days? - AdionC, on 11/27/2007, -0/+4Now you sound just like any other self-improvement advice.
And I also don't see why we wouldn't be able to create something that is different or even the opposite from ourselves. - HolemCross, on 11/27/2007, -0/+4The only one I liked was the quote on depression.
- ducktomguy, on 11/27/2007, -1/+4Digg me down for self-promotion, but I built a Flash site for users to submit such quotations - quotebloat.com
- scott2007, on 11/27/2007, -0/+3They don't seem that devilish to me.
- joebaloney, on 11/27/2007, -0/+3All of you people saying things like "FUN" and "Very clever" are making me really sad.
- nesibus, on 11/27/2007, -0/+3wow....flash back to mIRC days (NeXgen Script!)....cause thats how old this stuff is.
- quickgold192, on 11/27/2007, -2/+4actually, that's not ironic - it's coincidental
- BoneheadFarker, on 11/27/2007, -1/+3Why does this read like a demotivator poster from Despair.com?
- betterth, on 11/27/2007, -1/+3Fortunately I can digg whatever I want. This is a site of freedom and I can digg even the worst articles. Anything else and we'd descend into a site of communism! Diggs for all! Everyone gets their diggs and nothing gets front paged except for Mr Baby Man and Zaibatsu! You don't want that, do ya, commie?
- toxicbrain, on 11/27/2007, -3/+5all picked up from http://www.jokesandhumor.com/jokes/362.html... hmmm....
- Tiphys, on 11/27/2007, -0/+2Nah..is simpler than that.
http://www.straightdope.com/classics/a4_001.html - Theisos, on 11/27/2007, -0/+2I'm bored so I'll do this. I figure that the black box's survivability has more to do with the architecture and less to do with what it's actually made of - as opposed to a plane.
- doktorzee, on 11/27/2007, -0/+2You just added that digg entry. Why make dupes?
- zachshmack, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1Best one: 7 - The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.
- hmmmok, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1When's the next Penelope Trunk column?
- Waterrat, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1 I like that one, they should have included it.
I like thie one too:
"18 - The problem with the gene pool is that there is no lifeguard." - OwdenBowden, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1Agreed. I only wish I can digg this up even more..... Great Read and just in time.
- NoOnEx, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1You can only apply your knowledge and experience into something. You cannot create something different that what you know. You are bound by your own mind, and will always create things that are in part like you. You can't create something different because you have no idea what or how that would actually be. You cannot walk a mile in someone else's shoes and you can't create something radically different than yourself.
- enri, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1So that's what Rove is doing since he resigned.
- KingBunny, on 11/27/2007, -1/+2I feel I should mention that not only is the "article" a collection of quotes, but the only image is actually remote-linked from someone else.. and it's not even resized!! >:(
- spanishflea, on 11/27/2007, -1/+2Great to see a self-improvement list that is edgier and goes against the grain of most self-improvement lists. The latter tend to be cheap knockoffs of either Dale Carnegie or S. Covey.
- gnick, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1Very clever
- Shawnshank, on 11/27/2007, -1/+2The "author" just took a bunch of old quotes from around the Internet and compiled them into a blog post and called them his own. Hasn't anyone heard these before? I commented on the blog but the comments there are moderated. I guess stealing credit, then moderating out comments that call them on it is what the Devil would do anyway.
- betterdaystvnet, on 06/08/2008, -0/+1thanks so much for sharing!
maybe you'll like this, it's over 255 free self improvement videos personal development videos nlp videos and ebooks

on his back he holds the earth - Shawnshank, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1"It's about time we shook things up a little..."
Copy/pasting a bunch of old quotes isn't shaking anything up, and you're not really even doing it because someone else already did. - deano6410, on 11/27/2007, -1/+2I don't recall them claiming they invented these qutoes. Everyone knows they are not new, they are from all over the place, and almost every major comedian has used them at some point. Perhaps you can point out where they claimed to have invented them??? to me it just looks like they compiled the very best ones and put a clever spin on it.
- bella21, on 03/14/2008, -0/+1I consider myself to be an advert student of self improvement, so I am a little ashamed how much I enjoyed reading this. Very funny stuff!
- Damknom, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1Funny, here is a poster I made :

20000 hrs in paint :D, not really, 20 min on GIMP - bella21, on 03/17/2008, -0/+1Hysterical advice. A little embarassed to admit how amusing I found this since I do consider myself a self improvement advisor.

- bosssmiley, on 11/28/2007, -0/+0Mark Twain, Ambrose Bierce (in "The Devil's Dictionary") and C.S.Lewis (in "The Screwtape Letters") mined this vein earlier and better.
Nothing new under the sun. Dwarves on the shoulders of giants. etc. etc. - rhodz, on 11/30/2007, -0/+0man.. i can't wait to throw my viral article next to dean's hit.. :)
- FluffyJ, on 12/07/2007, -0/+0Perfectly logical to me!
- kemengr, on 03/13/2008, -0/+0Dean is a devil when it comes to challenges! He released an eBook recently and spilled the beans literally. I have become a fan of his after reading his eBook on free traffic.
