- Y0tsuya, on 11/13/2007, -2/+23They're raising a nation of fearless ass-kickers. What are we doing with our kids?
- tangofish, on 11/12/2007, -0/+19Over here a professional window cleaner would be breaking several health & safety laws
- Drexus, on 11/12/2007, -3/+19Interesting. However, developing bravery as a characteristic may prove more effective if the students refused to participate in such activities.
- inactive, on 11/12/2007, -0/+11I think it's there to make all the fat kids fall.
- archimago42, on 11/12/2007, -1/+11Not selling them to factories?
- purpleacid, on 11/12/2007, -0/+8China finally came up with a way to solve their population problem...kill the dumb ones before they can even grow up.
- suxmonkey, on 11/12/2007, -1/+7Only in Asia ... here's a vid of Chinese workers barely escaping death ... for basically every minute of the day. Crazy, huh: http://onemansblog.com/2007/10/13/the-most-hazardo ...
- SiNN4R, on 11/12/2007, -0/+5Shh. Don't go against the group think.
- treas, on 11/12/2007, -0/+4it builds character.
- cypher303, on 11/12/2007, -0/+4Yeah... so now that all of us have seen this, why don't we write China a letter saying, "Dear China, we saw what you did to those poor school children, and we found it very distasteful and even mean. Please don't anymore or we'll be forced to thrash you... nuclearly, as it were. Thank you."
To which they'll respond, "Dear America, those were grown adults you *****! So we're short, ok? Do you have to rub it in our faces every ***** time we clean our windows? ***** you man! Just wait until you get your fat asses caught in our foxholes, then we'll see who's laughing, wont we? P.S. Santa might just be sending a few extra poison toys your way this Christmas too, enjoy!" - therearenorules, on 11/12/2007, -0/+3balls 101
- stklaw, on 11/12/2007, -1/+4Raising a nation of xenophobic ass-kissers?
Sorry, I'll stop that. - Paroparo, on 11/12/2007, -0/+3Stuff like this damn well should be against health and safety laws. It's only a matter of time before someone gets seriously injured or killed.
- stklaw, on 11/12/2007, -0/+3Put them in the Solid Snake Simulator.
- dinostabOMG, on 11/12/2007, -0/+3"boosting bravery" - what a load of *****. They just want to avoid paying someone to do this.
- inactive, on 11/12/2007, -2/+5This would never happen if only China would elect Ron Paul!
http://www.ronpaul2008.com/ - cadethansen, on 11/12/2007, -1/+3American parents complain about our school Health and Safety code...
- inactive, on 11/12/2007, -1/+3Take that, Neo! Children!
- DickyT83, on 11/12/2007, -0/+2BBB and OSHA would not approve.
- Nonashi, on 11/12/2007, -0/+2Funny, I'm actually a China-born, Neutralized Canadian. Came to Canada when I was about 10 (now 18). Reading this article brings back a lot of grade school memories. I can say with proof, that when it comes to practices like these, It's pretty much the same across China. Hell, I've got outside and cleaned 3rd/4th floor windows without any safety gear probably dozens of times. Sure you get scared, but you learn to be careful and not to fall. People over there have a different mentality, Not sure how else to really explain it.
- Fragowell, on 11/12/2007, -1/+3America may be pussifying its children, but that doesn't really have anything to do with how stupid this is.
- archimago42, on 11/12/2007, -0/+1They are gearing them up for when they have to climb into the machines in the factories they'll be sold to. Don't worry if it's running Timmy I'm sure it won't eat your hand.
- princessToBe, on 11/12/2007, -0/+1aww poor kids but YEA!!! FOR BRAVERY
- andyakadum, on 11/12/2007, -0/+1DOOM3!
- DickyT83, on 11/12/2007, -1/+2There goes 60% of the US population.
- DesertDude, on 11/12/2007, -1/+2Nah, it's just that this article reminded me of some great jokes that bombed because there was a chance a child COULD have been hurt. Admit it, you Americans have no humor when it comes to kids. You're all just old grannies when it comes to kids. It would be sickening and nauseating if it wasn't just so damn funny.
- MtheoryX, on 11/12/2007, -2/+3I read the title and description to my wife. Her response? "Let me guess, it's in China."
Clicked to the story, and yep, sure 'nuff, there it is. Surprise, surprise. - clearwaterlab, on 11/12/2007, -1/+2At least their schools are teaching them actual life skills. I can use Bravery for the rest of my life. Trigonometry? Not so much.
- inactive, on 11/12/2007, -0/+1The kids are being trained for circus.
- Drexus, on 11/13/2007, -0/+1Facinating. Such openness with your personal revelation no doubt.
- benroy, on 11/12/2007, -1/+2Kids now are spoiled pussies with an inflated sense of false entitlement. If it weren't a felony I'd like to beat several of them with their own iPods. I really like this idea, if I had kids I would still endorse this. But what's next? Doing chores? Mowing the lawn? Cleaning Gutters? The Mind Boggles.
- inactive, on 11/12/2007, -2/+3Wow...you know you are just looking to bich about America and Americans when yuo are saying that americans are wrong for thinking that forcing kids onto a ledge to clean windows is a bad thing.
- andyakadum, on 11/12/2007, -0/+1DOOM3!
- cm702, on 11/12/2007, -0/+1you're next
- WraithIX, on 11/12/2007, -0/+1I guess America has until those kids are adults before China takes over.
- inactive, on 11/12/2007, -0/+0Cho Chweet!!
- dinostabOMG, on 11/12/2007, -2/+2rtfa
- Grumps, on 11/12/2007, -1/+1The school officials say this is their way to cut the school operation cost. Janitor cost way too much!
- inactive, on 11/13/2007, -1/+1Teh authorities should be kicked in their ass.
- thomas, on 11/12/2007, -1/+1Beat them with an iPod? Even an old school one wouldn't be all that effective just be a man and punch them. :P
- ggacid, on 11/12/2007, -1/+1LOL
- dime, on 11/12/2007, -1/+1Gotta learn em' young. It's a good life lesson - if you aren't careful and hold on, life will pass you by and you'll plummet to a grisly death.
I put my son out to sleep in the snow when he was just a newborn.. made him appreciate the heat... hard life lessons build character - kinda like scars!
... now there's an idea... brb... - inactive, on 11/12/2007, -0/+0Just distribute PS3's among the kids.
- carterbaldwin, on 11/12/2007, -1/+1Time to adopt the practice in America!
- TatesWNN, on 11/12/2007, -0/+0Weird Indeed
- dsully215, on 11/12/2007, -3/+3That's so cool.
- inactive, on 11/13/2007, -1/+1Yay! for bravery.
- Tarnum, on 11/12/2007, -1/+1The Chinese immigrants are neuter(lized) in Canada?
- guymal, on 11/12/2007, -3/+2Next thing you know they'll be randomly lighting classrooms on fire to "boost their bravery".
- DesertDude, on 11/12/2007, -6/+5This must be shocking to Americans. In America where they take kids way too seriously and spoil the living ***** out of them. In America, a shove is "brutality" and a touch is rape ("sexual harassment" if you're lucky). Anything where kids are in risk of being scratched is not funny at all and is way too serious. Some Americans cry when they think of all the American kids who who have throat tickles and can't do anything about them.
You can see this in US comedy shows all the time. Way too serious about children, to the point of nauseating. -
