Might as well watch the routine where it's from.
George Carlin is the man. - WunderTroll, on 07/12/2009, -32/+545Dugg for truth
- Kajaah117, on 07/13/2009, -5/+279George Carlin wasn't a comedian, he was a philosopher with a sense of humor.
- AntP1, on 07/12/2009, -7/+209RIP George Carlin. RIP.
- mentallyinhell, on 07/12/2009, -5/+162I miss George.
- inactive, on 07/13/2009, -15/+133George Carlin? Dead.
Dane Cook? Alive.
Further proof there is no god. We are alone in this universe and left to our own devices. - jdh24, on 07/12/2009, -23/+113THIS PIC IS OVER 9000!!!!!!!!
- acdtrux, on 07/13/2009, -16/+95TL;DR
- premiumballin, on 07/12/2009, -17/+80Save the cheerleader, save the world.
- yocouchdigga, on 07/13/2009, -4/+59Dugg for Carlin.
- skinsgamer, on 07/13/2009, -1/+55Somebody actually trademarked "The planet is fine the people are *****!"?
lol - dzneill, on 07/13/2009, -2/+54George was the man.
- TheCollective00, on 07/13/2009, -1/+36Well, to be fair, George Carlin WAS 72 years old, a respectable age for anyone to live. Bill Hicks, on the other hand, was taken way too early. It's worse when the great ones are taken young and unexpectedly, while the mediocre ones are allowed to thrive.
- Kosh, on 07/12/2009, -14/+46Technically correct but practically useless.

- draemalic, on 07/13/2009, -6/+33We're not just killing our species though, we're killing millions of other species in the process.
I miss George though - inactive, on 07/13/2009, -12/+37Why the do people think this is some kind of mind-blowing revelation? Oh man how meta is this.
Few people other than worthless hippies mean "save the actual earth."
They mean, "save the earth so it is habitable for humans."
It's called a metonym. Like when the news says "the white house signed a bill..." They aren't saying THE ACTUAL WHITE HOUSE SIGNED A BILL. - TonyLocNE, on 07/13/2009, -2/+26Was going to bury as tl;dr but then I actually read it... Dugg.
- fragMasterFlash, on 07/13/2009, -9/+33But the earth is only 6000 years old, right?
Disclaimer: years in Kansas are 666,666.67 times longer than in non-creationist states. - bizzywho, on 07/13/2009, -10/+33You need to get laid.
- inactive, on 07/13/2009, -3/+25Windmills grind grain. Wind turbines generate electricity.
- beldenge, on 07/13/2009, -1/+22*****, are you kidding me? I didn't realize you could put entire essays into digg comments.
- inactive, on 07/13/2009, -2/+22Don't see that reference much....
- Imissnaptime, on 07/13/2009, -0/+20*tears*
- inactive, on 07/13/2009, -3/+21This planet sucks without you George...
- Memnochxx, on 07/13/2009, -6/+24Are you on drugs?
- Imissnaptime, on 07/13/2009, -0/+17guess which category you fall in?
- bstew22, on 07/12/2009, -2/+19It literally is.
- tgc1, on 07/13/2009, -0/+16He lives on in our hearts man.
- algaeturd, on 07/13/2009, -7/+21People don't just not give a ***** about the planet, they don't give a ***** about much of anything except for money and ***** like cable and fast food. That's why people were able to hijack this country for 8 years, ***** it up from the inside out nearly to the point of self-destruction and nobody even cared. People were yawning and asking when Arby's was going to have another 5 for $5 sale.
- trentshipp, on 07/13/2009, -0/+13Stand-up philosopher. He coalesced the vapors of human experience into a viable and meaningful comprehension.
- BrendanJB, on 07/13/2009, -0/+12Buried for burying GEORGE CARLIN for saying *****.
- lukas88, on 07/13/2009, -7/+19This is kind of dumb. When people say "save the planet" they are taking about life on the planet and the balance that the life depends on. You are right, it wouldn't be the "end of the world" in a literal sense, but self annihilation is still probably worth avoiding. Probably not the best issue to get tied up in semantics.
- clouds31, on 07/13/2009, -1/+12Religion has nothing to do with it.
- Dubersive, on 07/13/2009, -2/+11Dugg for giving me a paradigm shift on thoughts of the future. How very possible all that seems now that I think about it.
- JonnyIsElectric, on 07/13/2009, -0/+9yea man
- inactive, on 07/13/2009, -6/+15hey, I'm high too
- inactive, on 07/13/2009, -1/+10Wouldn't you need to compare three things to get the 'same difference'?
- directedition, on 07/13/2009, -6/+15"What is happening right now is changing society in ways few people appreciate just how significant they are, in a cosmic perspective."
Maybe in a human perspective. But in a friggin cosmic perspective? Our entire civilization will pass in a blink the universe's eye. The whole of the human race could die out tomorrow the universe would never know we were ever here.
Also, TL;just skimmed. Calm down and just enjoy our species' short-lived ride. - mrkmrk, on 07/13/2009, -1/+10The world will probably be better when neither you nor your spawn are around to support an inanimate object over intelligent life.
- diggydoc, on 07/13/2009, -3/+11cool story bro
- ChuckDees, on 07/13/2009, -0/+8Earth First!!!
we'll strip mine the other planets later. - lazlonger, on 07/13/2009, -0/+8Once the man....always the man. It's an eternal commendation.
- vsujohn2, on 07/13/2009, -3/+11We miss you George...
- parmindersingh, on 07/13/2009, -2/+10You sound like HG wells...
- noizeuk, on 07/12/2009, -5/+12Really couldn't give a flying ***** about people being the problem. We're lucky to get 100 years out of it anyway.
- iVisionX01, on 07/13/2009, -3/+10OH GOOD FOR YOU!
