- TGothe, on 01/02/2009, -6/+19I'm sure this was funny to the family involved, but seriously... front page material? This space could have been used for xkcd or something about the iPhone. Weak.
- laronde20, on 01/02/2009, -1/+14You can't sue for being a redneck in Canada.
- InfernoX, on 01/02/2009, -4/+15Thank god it happened in Canada, we don't take things so seriously up here.
- Ommatidia, on 01/02/2009, -2/+13I get the reference, but not the relevance.
- Red1Delta, on 01/02/2009, -5/+14No lawsuits? This is an outrage!!!

- kingmanic, on 01/02/2009, -3/+11English, ***** do-you-read-it?
1- It was the recipients cousin who sent the letter,
2- it was a in-joke which Canada post help facilitate,
3- it was sent by a woman,
3- and the article is two dozen sentences long.
Is it really that hard to read the ***** article? - Murdats, on 01/02/2009, -1/+8occasionally, how about frequently?
this sort of stuff makes up a large portion of diggs content - sublimer, on 01/02/2009, -3/+10Nice to see a clean and original prank every now and then :)
- db0255, on 01/02/2009, -0/+6MrChunks? Not surprising.
- KingGorilla, on 01/02/2009, -3/+8I was expecting more deaths involved. I'm not counting the felled tree

- anthonyconrod, on 01/02/2009, -4/+8Im in Halifax ! The "Rednecks" here are nice and friendly and smoke lots of weed. They do have guns but only use them for good, like shooting mailboxes while riding the ol ska doo ska doo :P
- crossmr, on 01/03/2009, -0/+4Maybe not top 10, but he has 180 friends and has front paged 380 stories.

- vofuse, on 01/03/2009, -1/+4I guess this is why people still buy Reader's Digest.
- crossmr, on 01/03/2009, -0/+3When I was young we lived in a town so small that we only had to dial 4 digits to call a house. The whole place was less than 1 km long and I think the population was around 300 people.
- Darkaged, on 01/02/2009, -3/+6If they would have been black the entire United States would have been sued for being racist.
- uncoolcentral, on 01/03/2009, -0/+3Some years ago I used duct tape to attach a plastic pink flamingo to my mailbox at the end of the driveway so it'd be easier to tell people how to find my house. While on vacation, I addressed a postcard to "House with the pink flamingo on the mailbox" (with the city and state too). When I got home from vaca, the postcard was there waiting for me. Wild.
- inactive, on 01/03/2009, -0/+3Maybe if he was talking to Santa Claus
- anshuman, on 01/03/2009, -0/+3so canada is not part of usa ?

- Brasky, on 01/03/2009, -0/+2There is a town in Nebraska called McCool Junction. You can put a name and the town on an envelope and it will get there eventually.
- MyTakes, on 01/04/2009, -0/+2Ugh.
- 808ethan, on 01/04/2009, -0/+1Yes!! /sob/ I can't read!! /sob sob/
- GoatCheez, on 01/03/2009, -1/+2I had to bury this for a misleading title lol... When I saw something about something going postal, I assumed there would be dead people involved, not a cute story. Oh well...
- BerryZilla, on 01/02/2009, -2/+3Santa has a postal code though... H0H 0H0
- beachsouthpaw, on 01/03/2009, -1/+2Forget about the front page of digg, how did this end up in the Toronto Star? That city doesn't know what a joke is.
- CAisBacK, on 01/03/2009, -0/+1Well done Canada Post...
but for You little maggots in the US Postal ***** that keep losing my mail, Fido will be off that chain all next week. - rframpton, on 01/03/2009, -0/+1Oooooh! That's racist!
- opticwind, on 01/04/2009, -0/+1Moist van Lipwig would be proud.
- tmac79, on 01/03/2009, -0/+1In the US, an FBI agent would have delivered it... there must be some sort of plot :)
- diggydougie, on 01/04/2009, -0/+1Already saw this story. I thought this would be about other people doing the same thing and screwing up the postal system. I guess that would be more viral rather than postal.
- sarixe, on 01/04/2009, -0/+1it is?
- frontaxle, on 01/03/2009, -0/+1I do this to my dad in Saskatchewan all the time. Dad, Pilot Butte, Sask. Try it.
- rudedogdhc, on 01/03/2009, -1/+2My mother once sent me a letter and the only thing on the envelop was my name and my phone number. No address, city, etc. Somebody along the way scrawled "nice address" on the envelop, but it still got delivered to my apartment in Edmonton.
