- bigthree, on 07/20/2009, -0/+18dead body in house -- low ball them on the price!
- BillE3, on 07/20/2009, -1/+14Last winter I was showing 'fixer upper' properties, one house had been broken into by homeless alcoholics. One was sleeping on the floor in a closet, my client thought he was dead. I am not sure if the alcoholic or my client was more scared. I kept laughing all day.
- TechEvil, on 07/20/2009, -0/+10"So as you can see, the house comes with a spacious living room...
...complete with dead body! Normally you have to pay extra for that kind of thing." - presidentraygun, on 07/20/2009, -0/+9I like to say this house has a real "lived in" look.
- AmyVernon, on 07/20/2009, -0/+8At least she (he? Article didn't have much detail) found it before she showed it. That could have been embarrassing.
- badqat, on 07/20/2009, -0/+8It works fine for me. So either it was a temporary outage, or digg support did their job.
Regardless, it works. - KingBabi, on 07/20/2009, -0/+7Boy would her face have been red!
- creamenator, on 07/21/2009, -0/+7YYYEEEEEEEEEEAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
- RyeBrye, on 07/21/2009, -1/+7People are dying to get in this property. You need to move fast.
- c0mputar, on 07/21/2009, -0/+5Who else just watched that NCIS episode?! The Realtor is the murderer!
- copypastry, on 07/20/2009, -0/+5Like chill Mr. White, yo. I just put him in the bathtub because you said the plastic tubs I bought weren't the right kind.
- Spanq, on 07/21/2009, -0/+5Does it really matter? The article, if you can even call it that, is a whopping three sentences longer and provides no additional information. I'm so glad this amazing ***** story is on the front page of Digg.
- itc518, on 07/20/2009, -0/+5I didnt, after I submitted it ended up in there. I contacted digg about editing and removing it but I am not sure if they will.
- Spamcan, on 07/20/2009, -1/+6Look on the bright side, at least he didn't die homeless.
- papashawn, on 07/21/2009, -0/+3is it really a LIVING room then?
- doublehue, on 07/21/2009, -0/+3Hah, this is silly to me because I'm watching Step Brothers. If anybody has seen that movie they'll know what I'm talking about.
- Pinkertinkle, on 07/21/2009, -0/+3It comes with the house.
- Ninh, on 07/20/2009, -0/+3Sounds like the expose for an Aurora Teagarden mystery.
- BridgeBurner, on 07/21/2009, -0/+3That's only half of the story. The dead body in the house was that of a realtor that had shown the house earlier in the week and had been missing since. The key wasn't in the lockbox because he still had it on him when he was killed.
- TheDiggAbides, on 07/21/2009, -0/+3Purple drapes!!! All my life I've wanted purple drapes!!!
- h4mx0r, on 07/21/2009, -0/+2it's ***** haunted.
- uptwolait, on 07/21/2009, -0/+2Dugg for the irony of a dead guy in the LIVING room.
- MrFisty, on 07/21/2009, -0/+2My friend sold his apartment a few years back, which he'd been renting out, and on the day the realtor had organised for buyer inspections, there was a note on the door reading: "Death in the family, no inspection today." So the realtor knocks on the door and it opens a crack. He says he's sorry to hear about the death, but the inspection must happen. The tenant asked for 10 mins. 20 mins later, the realtor knocked, no answer, so having the keys, went in.
What he found was eight men ***** each other in a sling. When he rang my mate, all he could say was: "Oh god. The smell. They're everywhere. The smell."
Personally, I would have rather found a dead body. - MacParrot, on 07/21/2009, -1/+3I must have missed the part in the article where it was the former owner's body. Oh that must be because it isn't in it.
- CressCrowbits, on 07/21/2009, -0/+2Do you think the agent had a go on it when he had the chance?
Oh come on, don't say you wouldn't have. Dead man, just lying there, nobody would ever know. Just put the end in, just to know what it feels like, having sex with another man.
Don't ***** me, you would have. - RadGnar, on 07/20/2009, -4/+5possible selling point of the house? lol
- AdamKernes, on 07/21/2009, -0/+1reminds me of "lullaby" by chuck palahniuk
- Benjerman, on 07/21/2009, -0/+1It sounds like the beginning of an episode of Bones.
- SpazAttack5000, on 07/21/2009, -0/+1No wonder they foreclosed on him, he was too dead to pay his bills.
- Velocity14, on 07/21/2009, -0/+1I thought more people would catch on to the potential humor here... I mean, really... you could've gone so many ways with it... Stain remover, call now and get a free dead body... I thought people would be random/silly enough to create a Billy Mays commercial getting progressively crazier sentence by sentence.
But I forgot that Digg doesn't understand me/doesn't care. - jeremyosborne81, on 07/20/2009, -2/+3Let's move on. This neighborhood is dead.
http://www.epiconeliner.com/ - Cryptopsy, on 07/21/2009, -0/+1wat?
- inactive, on 07/21/2009, -0/+1Yeah man, that's where I WANT TO LIVE! Sign me up now! Actually, I shouldn't talk. I live in West Baltimore, MD.
- kgtech, on 07/21/2009, -0/+1That was the first thing I thought.
- MacParrot, on 07/21/2009, -1/+1Well there's the large kitchen, the real wooden floors in the family room, great schools, and oh yes. The dead body in the middle of the floor. Some people look at it as a distraction, but I think it really sets the room right.
- dailyhaste, on 07/21/2009, -0/+0The Realtor really didn't like his client!
- WaywardOne, on 07/21/2009, -0/+0I was waiting for a Simpsons reference!!!
- samk, on 07/21/2009, -0/+0This is why I chose not to become a realtor. Or buy a house.
- askantik, on 07/21/2009, -1/+1...
fail. - dinglebutt, on 07/21/2009, -1/+0And then Glenn Danzig offered double the asking price.
- joshuaer, on 07/21/2009, -3/+2client: is that a dead person??
realtor: Yes, and as you can see this house is so well made you can kill some one in to and your neighbors will never know. - tod987, on 07/21/2009, -2/+0Does this come to a shock to anyone? Probably a good guy. Just in this economy how crappy banks can be, people are literally killing themselves b/c their house is all they have. Didn't they say the house was foreclosed? Sorry there chap.
- branchan, on 07/20/2009, -7/+4obvious body is obvious.
- dtele, on 07/20/2009, -7/+3Why do you post a URL in the standfirst?
It is a bad URL (page not found) - Velocity14, on 07/21/2009, -7/+2BILLY MAYS HERE, AND BOY DO I HAVE A DEAL FOR YOU!...
(finish the pitch)
