Yeah, it happens. It happens alot. A hell of a lot. You just don't hear about it. Innocent people in prison have zero web access and damn little hope of ever clearing their name. Granted that I recently just joined Digg but it seems that lately, more and more stupid ass stories get to the front page. I love Digg, most of the time there are substantial stories that I love reading and sending to other people to take a look at. I loved it until today. A stupid as chain mail almost seven years old!!!
I thought that the user base for this website was more than just a bunch of idiot asshat ***** that want to win some sort of popularity contest. On top of that this behavior is being encouraged by other idiot asshat ***** that love to submit their own stupid ass stories.
Maybe Digg should shift from being a free for all (otherwise known as democratic) Internet society and shift to a more Meritocratic (look it up) society.
