- catoutfit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+55Hopefully he'll take some pictures with his wife (read: porn), so you can really shame him..

- Metman, on 10/12/2007, -1/+40If I am not mistaken that car is from Buena Park, CA near or on San Marino Drive (not far from Knotts Berry Farm). The male child goes to Buena Terra Elementary School.
- InternetUser, on 10/12/2007, -0/+34"Jack Bauer could"
Only if Chloe opens another socket. - musters, on 10/12/2007, -8/+41wow, this person has an UGLY family!
- Coven, on 10/12/2007, -1/+30StolenSidekick part 2 anybody?
- JaredRR, on 10/12/2007, -0/+29It's possible that your phone has already moved through a pawn shop and this family bought the phone.
I'd post the pics too, but it's worth considering... - vap0r, on 10/12/2007, -23/+51It's a stereotypical hispanic family.....with their Taco Bell dog.
- catoutfit, on 10/12/2007, -2/+27pretty much, I've got the Sony Ericsson k800i it's got a 3.2MP camera, the quality is really good...for a phone anyway.
http://www.gsmarena.com/review.php3?idReview=93&idPage=5 - NightRush, on 10/12/2007, -2/+27Hell, even my razr can manage a clean photo if there is enough sunlight.
I hate these kinda people, I hope this comes back to REALLY bite them in the ass. - commiecat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+24Or better yet - pictures of his mistress! :)
It's kinda messed up that the guy got his phone stolen but at the same time, this is probably one of the cooler things to happen to a stolen cell phone. It's kinda like that experiment where people mailed disposable cameras across the country and encouraged the postal workers to take random shots to upload to a website.
Hopefully the person does wind up taking a picture that identifies himself so that the original owner can find out if it was stolen or bought or whatever. - wphj, on 10/12/2007, -3/+27Jack Bauer could
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+24The dumbass probably bought it in some pawn shop.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+23Yeah, smart move posting your email on digg...happy filtering...
- afex, on 10/12/2007, -0/+22this brings up an interesting point, whats to stop people from connecting their phone to shozu before they trade it in? is there something on the phone that tells you that its uploading the pics? (i'm assuming theres gotta be)
- rubored, on 10/12/2007, -5/+26HOLY *****!!!
I KNOW THIS PERSON!
PLEASE, CONTACT ME (R_U_BORED@HOTMAIL.COM).
I know him and some details about him, but he is not a friend of mine.
Please talk in private, mtg101...
The f****** shall pay! - BassCadet, on 10/12/2007, -2/+21there can't be THAT many Chevelle SS's in that paint scheme in your area.
The owner of the car isn't necessarily the guy who stole the phone...but you can track this fool down easily. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+19Ask Gil Grissom to do it.
- vap0r, on 10/12/2007, -7/+26@n3r0
I never said that he stole it. It's not a "fact" that he stole it. I was just commenting on the irony of an Hispanic family owning a chiuaua. Quit being such a sensitive pussy. - projektmayhem, on 10/12/2007, -1/+19nice car there. wonder if the plate could be traced back to the owner (assuming he didn't just rob the car too)
- steelmaverick, on 10/12/2007, -2/+19No matter how hard we try, we just can't compete with the Asians and the Europeans.
- JaredRR, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18Maybe he's planning on stealing the car next? :) LOL!!
- bobothn, on 10/12/2007, -3/+19then again if your buying a cell phone threw a pawn shop and you think it isent stollen you have some othere problems.
- AmericaOnline, on 10/12/2007, -6/+22those are some pretty nice pictures for a cell phone. or is that the norm nowadays?
- ericmoritz, on 10/12/2007, -4/+20That's such a hoax. Click through to the flickr account, the pictures of the Chevelle (the car) are obviously stock photos, they're a different size than the others and not the standard megapixel dimensions.
Dude, the first image in a google image search is the first photo or the car! http://images.google.com/images?q=chevelle - n3r0, on 10/12/2007, -11/+25@Veamon,@vap0r
what does them being hispanic have anything to do with the fact that they stole a cellphone. i never had a damn rat dog. ignorant jerks. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15Who would wanna touch that ugly dog?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14send it to csi and let them zoom in perfectly with the push of a button!
- atiller, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14The Nokia 6682 used for these photos has a 1.3 Mpixel camera. Newer Nokia N Series phones have > 3 Mpixels. Some "phones" in Asia have 7+ Mpxels!
- vertino, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13too bad the phone doesn't geotag the photos!
- dontbejack, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13So going to rape the ***** out of that e-mail address...
I kid, I kid. - lini, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13I wonder how much did ShoZu pay this guy to come up with the story...
*puts tin hat on* - olegk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13>Police forensics may...or may not...be able to zoom in on that.
haha :) you watch too much TV. - mecole21, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12too bad police wont care about a stolen cellphone...
- headzoo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12"lol, i just had an image of nerds pushing their power rings together :)"
Yeah, I had a picture of Voltron in my head. Man that would be one big bad-ass robot. - nickdanger3d, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13That's creepy dude.
- bflfab, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10@my previous comment
Found this on the website:
>>Can I use a different SIM/change phone number?
>>When you insert a new SIM or change your phone number, ShoZu transfers will continue >>as normal. Data charges will be billed to the mobile phone account in use.
Yikes! If you aren't phone saavy enough to check the java applets and internet usage you are in for a surprise! - vap0r, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12Batman?!?!!? Is that you?
- Matic, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11spam courtesy of ShoZu however, pretty good idea
- Smukke, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10@JaredRR
Yep, that was my first thought, too. Some poor idiot bought a used phone from a pawn shop or a 'friend.' Like the poor idiot in some other Digg story who bought a used car, only to get arrested a few hours later on theft charges. Doh! Always remember, boys & girls, if a deal sounds too good to be true, you're probably just encouraging someone to steal more stuff. - ZenFu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9It's stolensidekick.com all over again.
- jark, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8On the rest of the pictures the wife, it seems, works at Amtrak it seems by her badge lanyard.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9There's also the option that the guy who's photos are now online actually bought it from the thief, and is being ridiculed over the Internet for no real reason except for trying to save a few bucks on a cell phone...
- dirka, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Why the hell can't someone with a 70' chevelle SS afford his own damn phone??
- bobbygeorgina, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7That is fricking hillarious!
When my uncle got his phone stolen near the Mexican border we called it and they would answer speaking Spanish. I can somewhat speak Spanish so when I called I asked them what their names were and THEY TOLD ME! They also told me where they were (happened to be less than a mile away). I managed to keep them on the phone for a few minutes until they came into view (we saw them talking on the phone). We ran up to them and ordered they give the phone back. They tried to tell us it was theirs. My uncle decided he'd rather have a new phone anyway so we let them keep it. (It was his business phone so it auto-locks the keys every 1.5 hours and won't let you make a call or access anything in the menu unless you enter your password). We figured they'd get another 5 minutes of use out of it. My uncle turned it into the insurance company and got a really sweet phone to replace his 'stolen' one. - ddev2000, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8I couldn't find the picture, what page is it on?
- penbeatssword, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9This is totally a viral marketing campaign that's been seeded by ShoZu, or an agency hired by ShoZu. It's a nice implementation, with just enough flaws to be found out fairly quickly, but believable enough to get people talking, forwarding to friends, and digging.
Hats off to ShoZu. - mrlost117, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8my bet is that its another mexican teenage girl taking pictures of her family (again), not a guy at all.
- Mataouin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6He probably stole it too ;)
