- pmcall221, on 10/10/2007, -4/+40Was I the only one who read it as "Mindblowingly-Beautiful Librarians". I know that was what I was hoping for...
- DCGaymer, on 10/10/2007, -0/+17One of the few pic link's I actually enjoyed.
- jsmucker, on 10/10/2007, -1/+15very beautiful architecture in those. just amazing.

fitting. - Ouze, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Ok, I admit. Initially i snorted. Fancy libraries? I was intending to bury this with a snotty comment about Digg's predilection for excessive hyperbole (STUNNING, AMAZING, MIND-BLOWING, etc) but just to make sure I checked the link, and i was wrong. Those are pretty amazing indeed. Dugg.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Dugg because I am a *****' Librarian! Word.
- rnwen2750, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Some of the places were gorgeous, but a few of them look like the library parts were an afterthought
- Fritzed, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6Not really the same class, but the main branch of the Seattle Public Library is pretty unique.

- sepelester, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Back to the pens, moron.
- DixieChick, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I wouldn't get much studying done in any of these gorgeous places.
- vemerge, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2A good chunk of the pictures from American libraries.
- MagicCake, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Whenever I see pictures of interesting places/things across the world, it makes me want to travel... Those pictures did it pretty bad. Great stuff.
- troye, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2All you dyslexic people....
- sophiaperennis, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2G.W. Bush's impressive library: http://www.wlbpl.org/images/childdisplarge.jpg
- jeffchuck, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Indeed.
The Vancouver library is quite striking as well:

Thanks! - wassim2k, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Makes me want to read a book.
- Mutton, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1YOU ARE CORRECT. MY MIND HAS EXPLODED. :(
- redwire, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2I can't tell. Are you joking?
- sepelester, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1what was that?
- orangester, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Very beautiful. I couldn't help but remember the Pagemaster when looking at these.
- expectopatronum, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1wow. i am such a bookworm, and this made my day. i feel like i just took a long stroll through Hogwarts.
- meachen, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3America has libraries?...didn't they turn them all into supermarkets
- jschrab, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I remember walking into the Trinity College LIbrary ("The Long Room"). It's such an over used term but it did take my breath away.
- MOJIRA, on 05/17/2008, -0/+1Yeah, it was great 10 pictures in, then I looked at how large the scrollbar was and realized how comprehensive this list was.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Me too.
- Scheissen, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1☺>☻
- thomtomw, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1reminds me too much of an office
- Honeypie, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Wow...these are fantastic.
- qwuinc, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0All images don't seem to load. Mirror of mirror? :-P
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0These are stunning photos! Not only am I impressed by the number of volumes housed in these libraries, but the architecture and decorative artwork is quite remarkable as well. While they are a bit too ornate for my taste I do appreciate their beauty. I'd love the opportunity to visit some of these!
- rurounikengyrl, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0i wonder how quiet it is in those libraries...
- Azmeos, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2I'd be too busy looking around to read any books.
- troye, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2Yep, we do have libraries. One in about every city.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+3Sadly, where I live, not a lot of people know what a library is.
- Squidone, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Back up! Sweet.
- pfm1326, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Behold the ancient keepers of all knowledge, open and hidden. I hold libraries in the highest respect and also use openoffice. org.
- Petrushka72, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Inaccurate. The British Library hasn't been located in that building for years, the Wren Library in Cambridge is missing, it's "Bodleian" not "Bodlein", and Copenhagen is in Denmark, not Sweden.
- jihee, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0gorgeous!!!
- Rykielz, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0I wish my university or local library was like that..I would actually want to go there and study.
- ekravchenko, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0down... :*(
- matbot3i, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0That's EXACTLY what I read. I hesitated to click it with my girlfriend sitting next to me but now I feel rather silly. She used to work in a library at a university too. She may have thought it was a fetish...maybe not.
- uremomsnitemare, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0no joke.. i read it as "mindblowingly beautiful lesbians"
- JNudda, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1The exterior design of UW Suzzallo is also amazing.

The Boston Athenaeum is quite beautiful, although as it is a private library, finding a pictures may be difficult:
