Wow. Classy. Now let's keep the evolution/creationalism conversation at that. - mickhead, on 10/11/2007, -0/+15Pretty nice. But nothing beats the transparent butterfly. - http://www.flickr.com/photos/joecashin/26586189/

- b3mus3d, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Colour is the British spelling.
Now that I look though, they own both the British and American spelled domains. - Bucketshred, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7Man, that's how they trick you before they pounce on your unsuspecting face.
- hiPpymIck, on 10/11/2007, -2/+8ive only just figured out what a palette is......doh
- Jugalator, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6Apparently, the name of that one is the glasswing.
Somehow, I they'd make a good wallpaper for Windows Vista. :) - hiPpymIck, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6i hadnt quite put together the idea that you choose all your colours - before you start
- NiGHTSChao, on 10/11/2007, -4/+8You want me to Photoshop Infinite Resolution?
http://img363.imageshack.us/img363/8185/infiniteresolutionjp1.jpg - idonthack, on 10/11/2007, -7/+10No, but it's got infinite resolution.
Photoshop that, biatch. - lvbuckeye, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3most of the 'butterflies' on that page were actually moths.
- blackfett, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2@crgnetworks and To the citizens of the United States of America, in the light of your failure to elect a competent President of the USA and thus to govern yourselves, we hereby give notice of the revocation of your independence, effective today... ...To aid in the transition to a British Crown Dependency, the following rules are introduced with immediate effect:
1. You should look up revocation in the Oxford English Dictionary. Then look up aluminium. Check the pronunciation guide. You will be amazed at just how wrongly you have been pronouncing it. The letter 'U' will be reinstated in words such as 'favour' and 'neighbour', skipping the letter 'U' is nothing more than laziness on your part. Likewise, you will learn to spell 'doughnut' without skipping half the letters. You will end your love affair with the letter 'Z' (pronounced 'zed' not 'zee') and the suffix ize will be replaced by the suffix ise. You will learn that the suffix 'burgh' is pronounced 'burra' e.g. Edinburgh. You are welcome to respell Pittsburgh as 'Pittsberg' if you can't cope with correct pronunciation.
2. There is no such thing as "US English". We will let Microsoft know on your behalf. The Microsoft spell-checker will be adjusted to take account of the reinstated letter 'u' and the elimination of -ize.
etc...

- wmarcello, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1That's how we spell it in Canada as well. Same goes for honour, valour, etc.
Canadians spells other words differently as well, presumably because of the french influence... theatre, centre, etc... - NiGHTSChao, on 10/11/2007, -4/+5Yes it is, I put the infinite sign there, thus it is so
- PureForm, on 10/11/2007, -3/+3What did you think it was???

- smackhero, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2pfftt... i use vector graphics. while it's not "infinite resolution," it _is_ infinitely _scalable_.
illustrator FTW! - Bdog2g2, on 10/11/2007, -5/+5"God - the infinite artist - gifting mankind with beauty in the guise of nature."
And the ability to destroy it. - cwrc11, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Love the butterflies, have you thought of doing it with fish? After a snorkel, I aways wanted to use their color combos for designing sarees.....

- Bob042, on 10/11/2007, -4/+2Wouldn't a more accurate title be "Pictures - How we use Nature's Color Palettes:"?
- gnalakalaciath5, on 10/11/2007, -4/+1http://www.duggmirror.com ; it's already slowing down.
sorry for the comment abuse :) - yubpro, on 10/11/2007, -28/+25It's really funny, because as I was looking at these pictures, I was thinking how only some kind of God could have created such beautiful creatures.
But you know, it doesn't even matter...
They're breathtaking no matter where they came from! - smackhero, on 10/11/2007, -5/+2the elegance and beauty of our natural universe never ceases to amaze me.
i never understood the need of some people to attribute anything they deem beautiful or amazing to imaginary deities. why can't we just appreciate the fact that the natural universe is full of wonder? why should we create an artificial boundary dividing the world into "natural" and "supernatural," and in the process extricate everything that is beautiful or awe-inspiring from the natural universe?
to truly appreciate the beauty of the world we live in, one needs to understand how everything came to be and why things are as they are, rather than simply writing them off as the result of magical or supernatural forces beyond the realm of human comprehension. because when you start to understand the laws that govern our universe, you'll see the elegance and beauty that is nature--like how everything around us exists because of a few basic forces, which alone can give birth to infinite possibilities, and how mathematically consistent and cohesive the underlying laws of governing our universe are.
sure, it takes a lot more time and effort to try to understand things, but i think it's a lot more fulfilling. even if you only achieve an insignificant amount of knowledge compared to all that there is to know in the universe, the journey in and of itself is rewarding. it blows my mind sometimes thinking about how elegant nature is, and i think part of why it's so amazing to think about is because we're hardwired to be curious and try to discover how and why things are. don't suppress your innate desire to learn how things work by deluding yourself with unimaginative religious myths. - Bdog2g2, on 10/11/2007, -7/+2Wow so you're a gay expert huh? How do you become one of those? Have you dropped the soap in the locker room? Me thinks so.
- Bucketshred, on 10/11/2007, -8/+3Man, screw them, butterflies scare the frolicking funk out of me.
- dustysquareback, on 10/11/2007, -9/+3It certainly isn't "infinite"
